At night the time is ripe enough to mate:
In close proximity, we duly prowl
Thro’ slumb’ring streets advancing, cheek by jowl,
With caution like a tiger’s guarded gait.

For us, our claws convey both love and hate,
Into the sea, our songs we shriek and howl
Of treachery and longing hear us yowl;
Bewitching all with beauty is our fate.

For you, I am your ever-loving slave -
Upon your feline charms I’d happ’ly sup!
To have you by my side is all I crave,
Like cream tea we could lap each other up.

Oh! What loving phrases we could hiss
While resting by the hearth in endless bliss.
A work in progress.

this hollow ringing
in my ears,
the drum of
your heart

beat

beating,

I can't get the dull silence
of smoke and your lack

of

pulse

to leave
my heart,

imprinted there
with all the love I ever had--
I'll never forget you, fuu. (01.26.2017)
I'm content with the journey that is my life,

There may be thorns within the beauty I've started to grow, just false protection to the unfamiliar touch, easy to feel but hard to hear I'm not all that you see,

It's the attitude of music that has inspired me to speak,

Unfurling our languages from knotted conversations, confusing scriptures in song reveal truths thought lost,

Time would ask for an extension because it was created late, I would only like to know where the wild ones roam, all the things have been found, now the nowhere man stands by at attention,

Searching,then researching human interaction,

Affirmation for such a tedious pursuit is hard to come by, I can find myself asking if there is more, The simple course is yes along with a side of maybe,  hors d'oeuvres to pick first make a choice caught red handed or blue *****,

Wash it away on a sunny day, finding warmth within a surreal glitch, escape your person destroy what isn't true,
Dream,
Believe,
Imagine,

There is what you make of it,

I see it as a challenge of wonderful mystery, it can be anything, what a weird word it, I love it, will you join me in it, Take care of it,

Ramble with me about it.
I'm not sure what random people think of me, strangers, so I will tell them anything and everything (exceptions when money or life are involved). Then I listen to anything and everything said back to me. I have learned people need relaxed random interactions with strangers, someone you'll never see again but now knows how you hate pickles except on sandwiches (true story). I challenge you the reader. Tell one of your secrets (whether personal or about someone you know) to a stranger, change names if you want, but take to the streets, diners, buses, they are great for listening to your poetry then leave them confused and senseless or something.
What does it mean to be normal?
I haven't the right answers,
But I do have judges, jurors, and observers,
So my free will is lost the moment I leave my conscious,
Dreams were an escape for me, now I watch them combat the white padded walls,
These illusions might be a noble pursuit but I feign compliance,
Deceitfulness compliments sadness or fear
We always say it's okay when it's not,
A thought in general could destroy the world,
Though our worlds compare as ants to the giants of our universe
We may not all walk the same path,
How beautiful it is to end as equals,
One day I may write a lie that becomes normal speech
I'll still be rambling what does it mean.
We all find  something to smile about, for me it's the confusion that is life.
Don't fret on the lost or broken, rebuild and  look to where you'll find happiness

In the dark I sat perched on his chest
like a house cat that craved attention

Purring soft sounds into the night
as the neighborhood around stirred in silence

I curled up into a ball and tucked my paws
under my chin to rest for the night

yet the domestic cat must still have enemies
that they join the mice in running from

the dogs barked and I felt the hair on my neck
come to a standing position

Hiding places seemed scarce as i darted around
the room desperate for high ground as they neared

my nose alerted me that they were close-
outside the bedroom door I heard them growl with hunger

a door of such no match for the beasts of the night
and with vulnerability i watched them bound towards me

teeth bared, claws ready,  alarm in my chest
i could feel their breathe on my face

and with panic i awoke to find not a cat nor a dog
but a boy who thought he was a man

i was perched on his chest like a lazy house cat
resting in the sun who held not one single worry

As i looked around the room no danger was ever present
but one can only be naive once

this time i would be ready with a twitch of a hand
to claw my way out of danger
with any foe who should come for me
I had a very bizarre dream of this sort after a long night and having met a cat.

Don’t believe when humans tell you
Kitty fairies aren’t for real.
They exist and we can see them
No matter how you humans feel.
We, as kitties, use our brains
To protect and defend us all.
We can see things you can’t
And we can hear their fairy calls.

Kitty fairies think they’re clever;
That no one else can see them,
But we cats are on our guard.
Sort of like fuzzy policemen.
We stand prepared to whip them;
They won’t get by with a thing.
We consider them rather like
Nothing less than pests with wings.

But they messed up by coming
Into our own personal territory.
When we get one in our paws
That will end their silly story.
We might play with them a bit
For the first couple of laps
But after that, we will sing
The kitty version of ‘Taps’

So, if you see us sitting calmly
Then suddenly we leap right up
And chase around rather wildly
And knock over your coffee cup,
It’s because we can see them
Some flitting fairy on the wing.
That you can’t see kitty fairies
Doesn’t really mean a thing.
It's my last poem of 2016. I hope you enjoy it and share it around.
On most cold and sunny days we bask in the sunlight on our living room floors,
Observing the flecks of dust floating in space, detecting air we cannot feel,
but once in awhile the urge to run becomes overwhelming...

"At least it's sunny" we say as the zipper pulls up around the neck, two long sleeve layers under the jacket, and a hat makes us just about set.

Now if you're like me you wear two layers one thin and one thick for below the waist, not this guy, he went with the tried and true one layer winter tights complete with the red stripe to match his jacket...

As for the the shoes I can not say, for I was in a vehicle and we were going opposite ways, but they must have been warm because the only part of him that was frozen was his mustache.
Brave souls we be

Divine beastie —
There is wonder in your fine eye.
A wild nature,
Ancient and unfurled.
Chaos and smoke,
Night and dagger.
You! Sweet familiar,
Cruel wanderer.
I have known
your heart
A thousand lives.
Never stray too far.
