i like it
when you say my name
as if it's yours
as if it soothes your soul
it drips from your lips
so sweetly
like something fragile
that you're afraid to drop
i like it
when you call me yours
something inside me flutters
in silence -
a sense of belonging
- i've never belonged
to anything and
anyone before
for you;)

Stare up,
I see escape,
A universe,
Overflowing with,
A million curiosities,
Waiting to be found.

Stare up,
I see beauty,
A whirlpool,
Of pretty fairylights,
Dotted on the ink,
Soaked sky.

Stare up,
I see wishes,
The eyes of,
A hopeful child,
Who believes in,
The night time magic.

Stare up,
I see home,
A place I belong,
Even if I,
Am an alien to,
Them.

A caged rainbow cries colors into a stream
That carries broken hearts to a lake of dreams
The sun pries through the branches above
Sending down light with warm bright love
A waterfall cascade mirrors moments past
When it's realized you belong loved at last

A beautiful Rose
In a field of dandelions
Not alone
Yet lonely
Forever cursed
To never belong

Slowly fading away...

It was he who'd been too busy
Picking at her petals
To realize she was beautiful
Just the way she was

It was she
Who learned to grow thorns
To keep him away

...

For it was she
Who realized
He was the darkness
That wouldn't hesitate
To crush her
Just to mold her
To his liking

...

She was a beautiful Rose
In a field of dandelions
Not alone
And still a bit lonely
Slightly cursed
To never belong
But content
To forever belong
With herself

*And that's all that mattered...
"As long as you find home within yourself, you'll never need to go searching for it ever again"....
An excerpt from a long winded rose metaphor stuck in the pages of 2014.. a bit of a more optimistic poem to contrast the usual depressing ones

In embraces of sun rays. Warm waves cover me. Screaming crows.

Taking comfort in - we still have chance.

To belong to each other.

In our dreams.

And in next lives
What is going with you warms my heart..

Why do people seem to see themselves as puzzle pieces
Waiting to be fitted into the edges and curves
Trying to find the right one to sit with
Touching, to see if somehow they deserve
To be ruled by someone else
To be under their protection
Yet still searching if they are worthy of love
And care
And belongingness
And pain.

State of mind: thoughtful; readiness; anticipation.

Thoughts: from thinking - about how we travel far and wide so we can find a place where we belong.

Question: if we are denied our freedom, how can we know who we are?
