I've been coming home,
feeling kinda lazy

Just art, just music
nothing really amazing

What I think is average
others think is blazing

I don't want to be stuck
in a fuse about what was written

I don't want to be stuck
making ******* discussion

I don't want to be the one to judge what is or what isn't

Stuck in this fiction
of making a living

Ethan hunt on the hunt
This passion is my mission

I'm so passive aggressive
I say **** my contestants
All the hate, I digest it
Check my inner intestines
They are coated with steel

What is the pursuit of happiness?
Is happiness even real?

False media & markets
items bought for apartments
***** clothes on my carpet
feeling down an exhausted
Emotions are quite toxic
All is a thought process

Rolling over in bed
I feel the dark on my eyes
Then feel the light on my head
Get up and do it again
This cycle just never ends

Penny pinching, and quarter quivering, dollar dribbling....
this Average life is for a simpleton

We are the cutters
Crying and weeping
We are the lovers
Searching and seeking
We are strong
But soft to the touch
We are happy
But not too much
We create friends
'Cause they don't come easy
We are almost at end
With the problems you see
We never go home
And wouldn't if we could
We don't feel alone
Just misunderstood
We are teenagers at a glance
Looking and praying
For one more chance
Standing not straying
We aren't trouble
Nor are we perfect
We live in a bubble
But we know we're worth it
We are the future
It's easy to see
That we will go further
Just you, you, and me

She was just an average girl,
in an average world,
with an average family.

She went to an average school,
with average friends,
and had average grades.

She lived in an average town,
with average stores,
and average neighbors.

She participated in average clubs,
competed in average sports,
and achieved average rewards.

She had an average boyfriend,
with an average job,
and an average truck.

She participated in average services,
competed in average races,
and achieved average ribbons.

She lived in an average community,
with average churches,
and average parks.

She went to an average library,
with average books,
and average computers.

She was just an average girl,
who wore an average smile,
while trying to averagely fit in.

You see-

She was - She went - She had -
She lived - She participated - She wore -
She achieved - She lived - She competed -

Her world was too average-

I live trying to not
exhaust myself by
keeping up. But trying
not to fall behind
as that can be just as bad.
Just sticking
to the middle and
remaining there.
Average. Inbetween
the top
and the bottom.
Unseen and overlooked.

I wish people would learn
I'm different
I hate how they always expect me to do
what everyone else does
I wish they would see
that I never do the average thing.
I don't think the way other men do,
nor do I act the way they do.
I wish people would know that they can trust me.
I wish they would know that I am always here for them
always will be
I am different.
I do not dwell in thoughts of ***,
I do not swim in guilt.
I am my own person
with strong morals,
a healthy passion,
and a heart that wants to love
Thats really all there is to me.
I wish people give me a chance
because I am
*different

i'm sorry i'm so ******* average
let's cut the bs about each of us being "special" in our own ways

Who am I kidding?
I'm just a socially awkward person
I'm average
In that giant group that's just there to fill up the world
Never destined to do something worthy of attention
Not popular, not a total loser
I'm the extra in the movie
I'm the character in a book that doesn't even have a name

I am motivated by this
Motivated by the fear of being average
I have to prove them wrong
Every single one who said
I couldn't
I can't
I would never

I can't rest until I'm out of that giant group
That mediocre crowd

I will be the best
I have to be the best

One third of our life is spent asleep
25 years off in some dream...

Another third spent in work or class
50 years gone, ****, just like that

25 years left...
But of course there's more.

1 year spent using the bathroom.
Now only 24...

6 years' time spent on cuisine
Down to 18...

4 years doing housework,
A year looking for things lost,
And another 5 in line we wait.

75 given, only left with 8.

2 years watching commercials
Where did it go? Only 6?!

For a woman... 1 year is spent choosing the clothes they're wearing.
But it evens out.
Men spend just as much time admiring their choice by staring.

So down to five
But I'll end it here
It's on you now
How to live your final years.
Do what makes you happy.

Wine cellars, under a blanket reading the best sellers.
A room big enough for you and your wealth.
A car as expensive as a house.
Classy lifestyle, expensive taste.
Her breath mints, taste like money.
Rich girl.
Million dollar smile with one more million every year.
I mean, Rich Girl, smile and show me your million dollar smile.

Average kid, chasing a dream.
Never known money, so he chases it blindly.
A heart full of dreams, a mind full "get rich" schemes.
Average kid, don't know wealth so he... He looks up to the wealthy hoping he'll get the chance to have a million dollar smile, with a background of only a dollar.
Average kid, born into a struggle.
Passed down from parents to heirs, every meal a blessing as the rich girl throws a stare at her salad.
Rich girl meals are fancy foods, with fancy prices.
Average kid who checks the prices for the next slice of bread.
Average kid ain't known nothing but the struggle.
Relying on the grind with a million dollar work ethic, and a $10 minimum wage.
Reached the age of independence, scraping the bottom of the barrel, for a few extra cents.
Average kid asks the rich girl for a dollar, and she say she don't have.
Meanwhile, she doesn't know what it means, not to have a dollar.
