raphæl
is to raise a wall
back to its preexistence
to halt a
read-between-the-lines
brand of resonance;
a wall to protect
those constructed surfaces
from even being scratched.
Now, you feel
              an
                  empty sting

when your access to a
digital counterpart,
a modern-day version
of a person's cognition,
is denied.
It's as if their posts are
the only way left
where you could
actually
hear the things
that couldn't be spoken of;
where you could
feel the
immeasurable heartbeats
that could never be
projected;
  and all of these
      illusions
          make you wish
              you talked more
                  in real life.

my silk tears slide down my raw face
for you're the one who birthed them

I've walked a desert
I'll do it again
I've fought an army
Never felt the pain

I'll keep going
Never stop flowing
To find you
That's what I'll keep doing.

My every struggle
My every scream
My every word
Is me calling on to you

It may be blurred
I know, I am heard
My voice reaches you
But you can't see me
I am lost in a herd

Either find me
Or don't stop me
I won't back down
Till I Completely Drown

Why live, only to die?

Why love, when alone I'll die?

Why laugh, only to watch others cry?

Why cut, when blood will dry?

Grow up, they said
but even as I did
I lost some child like wonder

Now. All I could ever want
Is to grow back down.

shut the door
