The stars descend
The angels weep for them.
The missing constellations
create vacancy in the eventide.
I see it in my eyes also,
The emptiness.
Like a deity I shall fall back to earth.
For my head has been clouded.
Rain clouds.
The rain of angel's tears.
As their wings are clipped.
They fall too.

The velvet blush of sunrise,
Shames the brightest of stars.
10 word poem

I couldn't keep her.
As much as I tried,
as much as all I wanted
Because she was the wind,
changed her direction.
Rode out the bumps and hitches.
I was a cloud slowly following behind.
Gray and boring.
Full of tears that I had saved for her.

My eyelids are so heavy now
I'm slowly caving in.
The light that once alit my eyes,
But 50 shades of dim.
You grasp my hand
To pray for me,
Although It shall not do.
It's one more song that you can sing.
And one more I owe you.

A grandfather clock
Guardian of my dreams
Imagine that.
Chimes to awaken me
Ticking over until dawn
Returning me to lucid memories
But I am conscious
Of this enchanting metronome
Clicking over
Ticking over
Am I asleep?

It's Grey,
The in-between,
An expiration of fate.
I don't recall this desolate sensation.
I will wait,
For sooner or later, a something
An anything will happen.
But how do I know of this?
When colour is all I have known.
I realise.
I have been here since time began.
My subconscious swims in this dreamscape,
So,
I will wait.
Grey for me gray for you.

the mirror says how old we are
the wrinkles know our times,
our wispy strands of silver hairs,
and worn in laughter lines

the scratches in our stones
much like lovers carved in trees
the sweet sting of peaceful death
like honey from the bees.

To me you were the stars.
Illuminating my world.
But to you I was a satellite.
Just passing by.

If that's what I am.
What you will me to be.
Let me soar into your world.
I the satellite, Your beacon,
Have come back around to show you.
I'll be more than what you could ever fathom.
Inspired by a variety of poems.

I miss it's sensation.
Oh to be loved!
The burn, the addiction!
I search my soul,
To find my flame withered.
Withered like the flowers at your feet.
You asked me to try,
I willed myself and kindled a spark,
But I cannot ignite.
For I have felt the raging fury and passion of yours.
Another's arson will not do.

Don't whisper me sweet nothing's.
I don't want those nothing's.
Give me your simple affections,
A silent confession.
Because I know that your shy spirit is so precious.
Although we hardly talk.
I know that I live somewhere inside your heart.
And that's enough for me.

If its the distance that keeps me missing you,
Every year a barricade between our lives.
If its this hopeless infinity,
that we fear is not meant to hold our time

Can we replace this moment?
I never should of let you walk me by.
And I know that its this nostalgic heartache,
That will return me shortly to your side.

always on the outside
it was me, it was you.
it was everyone who was told
you're too fat
you're weird
you're to quiet.
it was everyone but it was no one
because when we were left out
we were living, growing thicker skins
and when the façade deteriorated
it was us who where left.
because it was our individuality that was our survival.

Fall into love,
like the waves on the sand.
The land and the sea,
our tides hand in hand.

Breath life into living,
respiring the seasons.
Be like the sun,
shine needing no reasons.

Recall friendly memories,
and laugh in despair.
A world with no smile
has no pride left to bare.
I hope you find happiness.

we fought,
declared hidden love within our simple hearts
but our hearts mustn't have been so basic
as we where both incapable of loving just one.

Weave through the roots
Mangroves alike.
A foxtail, catch it quickly.
The birds sing for you help.
Grapes fall from their vineyard.
You have run too far.
Don't give up.
A cacophony ensues.
The nesting hens are disturbed.
The fox is gone and along with his prize.

I stare at you defiantly
Like a child stares at the sun
I stare because you burn.
Because you radiate instability.
Because you are toxic.
Now the space between our bodies  is poisonous,
And as the night consumes us
Tomorrow we become strangers again.

Vital,
I remain unchanged
because I was told once
I was important
I am I stupid to believe
I am vital too?

Its funny,
when you said you had got the whole package,
I realised that not only are you the *******,
but you were the **** too!
I have no idea where this came from but you know, freedom of speech and all that.
