there is no guarantee
that we will ever be free
I can't tell you why
the rain pours
and the people mourn
there is no guarantee
that we will ever find peace
I can't tell you why
we go to war
and why he called you a *****
there is no guarantee
that we will ever be happy
I can't tell you why
half of us are on anti-depressants
and why we are fighting the resistance
I can't tell you why
there is no guarantee

It has only come to my mind now
That your name translates to heaven.

Thoughts of you have flooded my empty head,
And so I decided to write a poem dedicated to you.

I wanted to write about that smile of yours
(The smile that warms me inside even when it isn't for me)

I wanted to write about that rainbow bandana you wear
(That made me embrace my love for them too)

I wanted to write about that guitar you play like a real musician
(Such talent I've never seen before)

I wanted to write about that haircut I complimented you on
(The courage I gained to talk to you)

I tried so hard to think of those perfect words to write
But I can't
I can't

I can't write about how beautiful or smart you are because you are so much more.
You are magnificent.
You are an inspiration.

But what saddens me most is that you are gone.
And I will never be able to tell you all those things I have tried to say.
My only hope is that you see this some day, and finally realize how much you meant to me. Even if to you I was just a girl with a crush.

at times we tend to think
our democracy is safely founded and secure
only eventually we recognize
the need to constantly defend its fundamental rights
work steadily against their stealthy abolition
watch carefully the words of politicians
lest they betray what they pretend to say
think twice for whom we cast our votes
avoid contenders who too often bray
that these were not their quotes
listen to those who have good arguments
do not unleash too easy sentiments
and in the end cast our votes when called

in short
democracy turns out to be hard work

     in case we shirk this
     we soon pay the price

unfree societies have known
     dictatorship  corruption  vice
have often needed centuries
to remedy injuries done
to find their four freedoms

and to recognize
democracy remains a living promise
a brilliant idea with many faces
always a work in progress

on an enchanted summer evening
the world feels wonderful and meek

why do I still crave more
than I can feel and seek

why do I need to go beyond the pastoral
    trust the smooth surface
     of this world
     only for blissful moments

feel almost something like relief
when daily imperfections
crowd me again and throw me hard
into the maelstroem of those obligations
that have accumulated over years
tell me I have matured and know
what all life really is about

but also loudly shout
     I do not know
the meaning of my life

yet I envision in the hour of my death
my last breath will flow easy
      with no strife

remembering the summer evening
I‘ve spent my life to seek

so wonderful …
      and mild …
            and meek ...

I'm not sure to my abilities
Don't even think have ones
I
  feel
         useless.
I cry and sleep in the darkness
At least the sun will sparkles.

Something different in your eyes
Isn't it a fire?
What are you prepare?
Then why do I care?
It can make me melt, I wouldn't dare.

You introduce me to our river
So I can see you clearer
There's a poison and water
Unintentionally became a power

A couple things I compare
Between you and the scripture

A couple things I aware
When you and me already perspire

It's strange, we bring our bodies to suffer
Why don't wait until we sober
And we can start over.
