Where you going?
What d’ya see?
A hundred thousand polka dots
A comin’ after me
Polka dots and tater tots
And french fried onion skins
A priest in a confession booth
Forgivin’ all our sins
Two or three gorillas
And an elephant in the room
Someone tell the maitre’ d
He’d best be leavin’ soon
Cuz the waiter and the waitress
Have figured out the plot
And if he hangs around much longer
He’s liable to be shot
By a psychopathic mushroom
Or a ******* pizza pie
While the rabid rocket scientist
Wonders how he got that high
The ******* with bedroom eyes
Looks the other way, and
The specialist in pantomime
Does not know what to say.
A hundred thousand looks at love
Not a single one survives
Yet, with regret and toil and sweat
We go on with our lives.

her
I want to provide her with everything.
I want to be by her side when she faces her fears.
I want to give her the strength to do so.

Her words,
They mean everything.
I hang on to each word as if its oxygen.
Each breath I take is because of her.

I could fall,
and **** could I fall hard.

Bruises,
Broken ribs,
Cuts and scrapes.
None of it will matter.

She will pick me up,
and when she does I will be alright.

Her arms? Safety-net.
Her eyes? Reassurance.
Her smile? Happiness
Her? Home

She's more than okay and good enough.
She is everything beyond that.

I want her to be my home,
My security,
My okay,
My laugh.

I want her.
I want her to be mine.
This one goes out to the new girl in my life

My film class,
Is my favorite class

and the class I hate the most,

I love film,
I have a passion for this art,

this medium,

this class is my soul and bodies passion,
and like a job,

like my job,

it fits me,
but like all jobs,

there's things that just ******* ****.

and it's not over the normal things,
like time and money,

its the people you work with,

or in my case,
my class,

and they are all *****,

when someone makes it their point,
to upset you and hurt you everyday,

because finally you are good at something,

when you **** at science,
and allowed your math skills to fall behind,

your life is filled with lies and you find,

a reason to live,
worth all your effort and time

but the same people calling you stupid and dumb and a **** up,

in math and science,
are in this film class,

forced to take a smile,

and sarcastically say,
"good job,"

when your film gets played in class,

and even when you ask,
no one give you advice like you give when asked,

and every frame seen on the projected screen,

gives me anxiety,
and the rude, unhelpful reminders from my bullies,

don't ******* help me,

when I want to run out of my favorite class daily,
and scream  in all their faces,

"*******"

"for once..."
but I don't

I sit,

I bit skin off skinless lips,
hold back tears,

the urge to leave,

take all my insults
that are directed at me,

with a head tilted down fake half smile,

when they should be directed to my film,
but everyday, I do get to say;

*******,

because this year,
I make it to all my classes,

even the next one,

history.
period 11/12

with my dignity
My sadness and upsetness by these people, but how oh how it prepares me for the real world. I Am better than I was, and will only get better, and that's all you can hope for.

I write,
about my ****** life.
but my words,
have giving you a sun shine,
like one that I have been removed from,
by the monster's night.

and sunshine,
you pull my dark words,
out of the night,
and let them shine,
and give them a meaning I only hoped for them to have,
like new parents,
hoping and dreaming,
every dream for there new baby,

my words,
are like my dreams,
my parents never gave me,
and the fact someone but me cares about them,
makes me remember that even though,
the sun may set,
like we all must rest,
when we wake,
the sun shines,
for us.
Sunshine is a user on hellopoetry. Add her. she speaks wonders to me

Queen
My name is Queen Stuurman.
Not Queen Elizabeth,
or Queen Latifah,
but simply just Queen.

I am a unique being born and raised in the roots of Africa,
my culture and roots are proof of where I'm from,
I'm not made in China.
I AM PROUDLY AFRICAN!!
A representation of my country,
its war cry resides within me,
my rainbow nation skin colour,
the many stories about my beautiful country I have yet to tell in my head.

So next time you see me,
call me Queen Stuurman
that's my Afrikaans and isiXhosa surname,
made and bred in Africa,
I am the African Queen.
#proudly african
i wonder if you can see
     a single beauty in me
just like I see the whole universe
           in you.
