Another chance
Another chance
I beg
Give me a second chance
.
.
.
Another chance
Another chance
I beg
Give me another chance
.
.
.
Another chance
Another chance
I beg
One last chance
...
No?
Why not?
Let me prove myself
Another chance
...
No answer...
I...
I blew it
Another chance you gave me more than once
And I haven't proven myself
I see...
Did I even deserve a third chance?
Did I even deserve a second chance?
Did... I ever deserve a chance in the first place?

Someone who fights for you day and night
Someone who wants to see you soar high in the sky
Someone who risks their life so you can survive
Someone who accepts their fate to see you choose your own
Someone who drops to the base so you can reach the pinnacle
Someone who faces hell so you can experience Heaven
A soldier is...
Not only someone that fights in a war but someone that will do anything for you

Opportunities will come and go
Like the sun don't always expect them to show
When you see the light go for it even if the chances are slim to none
No matter the outcome at least you know you tried
So just keep your head to the sky
Don't let the clouds blind you or else opportunities will just pass by
Failure will explode in your face like a hand grenade
Don't be afraid because mistakes will be made
When you fall to the ground just get back up and look at the crown
It will be yours one day as long as you don't stray away from the path you have chosen to play

Hope is something that's always there for us
We can never forget about hope
Because hope gives us the strength to keep moving forward to the unexpected
Hope has helped so many people
Well that's what people think
Hope doesn't guide us anywhere
Our decisions and actions do
Hope isn't the good thing that people describe it as
Because if hope is what you always turn to
Then what will happen when hope fails you? What if hope continues to fail you?
Then you'll continue to lose all hope
Then you realize without hope there's nothing but only despair
Hope is the last step down of the staircase to despair
Then what's there?  What's there to give you the strength to keep going?
You.
You have the strength to keep going
No matter how many times you fall back down the staircase
You have the knowledge to be able to go through obstacles and learn from your mistakes along the way
No matter how many are thrown at you and how many times you fail
You have the patience to make it up the staircase
No matter how long it'll take you
You have the power to believe in yourself
No matter how many people don't
You have the bravery to continue up to the unknown
No matter how scared you get
You have the confidence to make the right step
No matter what the odds are
You can only make it up
If you believe in yourself
Old poem I did a lot of edits and added more to it.

No matter how hard I try
No matter what I do
Friend or foe
In the end I'm shot
With a crossbow through the heart

The world isn't clear as day or dark as night
Right could be wrong and wrong could be right
Life is like numbers
All positives have negatives

So be careful about the decisions you make and the paths you take
This is a new era and a different world
All roads no longer lead to Rome

Oh dear
Even though I know you're still alive
I still shed tear
Hoping you won't take the dive

Oh dear
Even though I know you're still breathing
I still have a fear
Hoping you won't be bleeding

Oh dear
I just want you to hear
Jordan Leon Jun 2017
I see you trying your best
Don't give it a rest
Don't give up your quest
You're truly blessed

I'm fine and happy with what I got but envy always takes over my mind
I envy my peers because they live with two parents
I envy my peers because they are getting their license
I envy my peers because they have a bed frame
I envy my peers because they go out to eat every now and then
I envy my peers because they have found love
I envy my peers because they have clean shoes
I envy my peers because they have a fan in their room
I envy my peers because they have a door *** on their door
I envy my peers because they have a house
I envy my peers because they have so much more clothes than me
I envy my peers because they have money to spend
I envy the feeling of not envying

In the dark
In the park of your thoughts
Things can start getting shady
Things that will make you go crazy
And all you can hear is whispers
It gives you the shivers
You're starting to shake
You're going to break
Now flip the switch
Before it's too late
Jordan Leon Apr 2017
You're broken
But you need to focus
Pick up the pieces and put them together
If you would just ever
Stop and look at what you've accomplished
You'd be astonished
And maybe If I told you
you're not realizing
That I wanna be you
it might come as surprising
Because what I'm actually saying
is I think you're naturally amazing

My mind has become
A depleted mine
Stripped of its wonders and treasures
Haven't posted in awhile or even came on this site for awhile. Nice to be back.

Lies
We all tell them
Sometimes lies go too far
Where the one who told the lie
No longer sees it as a lie
A lie that has gone so far that
It has been engraved into the mind

A war fought with the same minds on different sides
A war fought to return home to loved ones and put down the guns
A war fought on battlefields of death where soldiers drew their last breath
A war fought to end the war

In this place I wear
A fake smile so I can hide
The despair within
Jordan Leon Oct 2016
I feel so horrible
the pain is just so irresistible
like Clair Huxtable

I can't think
i want to eat and drink
but i'm afraid it wont sink

I was told
i was found drunk and cold
dying and yet i'm not even old

Choking on my own puke
the beer hit me like a nuke
my survival was a fluke

I thought i wanted to die
but i'm so happy i'm alive
time to throw the beer outside

Where are our soldiers
Where can they be?
Fighting the wrong war
Over the sea
They should be here
Protecting the red white and blue
Keep our country together,
To be our glue
People are taking a knee
Not to disrespect
But hoping our soldiers will see - that
The innocents are dying
The kids are crying
The corrupt are lying
The government is undermining
So say goodbye
Because without our soldiers
Our country will die
I had help writing this poem.
