Why
Why not
What if
I wish
I promised I would
I promised I wouldn't
I wish I could
I
Don't
Want
To
Die
But
I
Do
No
I
Just
Don't
Want
This
Particular
Life
Idk, just one of those moods. I don't hate my life, just that I am the one that is living it. Maybe I just need a new mind
Ember Evanesent

She is a true poet who can do outstanding penmanship in any style of poem from rhyming limerick to emotional free verse. Only Ember doesn't just write she lives, she pours her heart and soul into her work and writes every emotion. This is courage because it takes bravery to be able to get through a piece about memories that hurt and furthermore to share it with the world, in detail, something I could never do. She doesn't care about popularity and rather than writing to please she writes from the soul, one of the many reasons she has so many followers. Ember is a true poet, and honest friend and someone anyone can turn to in need. she has so many things about her that i couldn't even begin to sratch the surface, but trust me, anyone would be lucky and honoured to have someone so awesome as a friend, and one boy will someday be even luckier. She is the most amazing poet, friend, and especially girlfriend anyone could ask for. She is honest, loyal, caring, understanding/compassionate, creative, smart both book smart and street smart types, not to mention gorgeous and these are only a few things. She even cares so much about people, who she has never met that she starts all kinds of challenges to help them feel appreciated, when really she should be getting the appreciation, but somehow she seems to be missed. So if anyone is reading this you should know who is awesome, and the answer is Ember Evanescent
With your arms comfort me
Or find a distraction to set me free
from the darkness and abyss
seeping in with its deadly kiss

Hold me as we watch our favourite show
or buy me roses, row by row
To heal me from the wounds of the past
and find me happiness to last

Give me advice gentle and caring
or in silence sit simply staring
To let me melt in your eyes
away from all the pasts dark lies

Compliment me on more than looks
or bring me all my favourite books
To distract me from all the scars
of the constant emotional wars

But don't ever let me hear you say
that everything will be okay
Because if I do, then you will see
that our relationship isn't meant to be

Let's think of the present now
and if you do not know how
maybe you don't know me after all, here's why
your only way to comfort, is to think of the past and lie
Why do people always think that the best way to comfort someone is to tell them that everything will be okay? They don't know, and all it does is show that they don't know you, because the only thing they can think to do to reassure you is lie about the future since they are unable to help you in the present
This one is for the girls
For the girls who wake up at the crack of dawn
To stare down the standards of beauty built by a society
Who says that your bones are more beautiful than your curves
That your ****** has more value than your words
This one is for the girls who go through their day
Expected to only to smile
Only to say happy words
Even if their world inside is crashing around them.
This one is for the girls
Who endure the side glances,
Because they don't fit into the cookie cutter
that has been so strategically built
By the media
To break down the strong mind of girls and to leave in them in a heap on the side of the road
So that the only time they feel beautiful
Is when they hear catcalls of the passers byers
Leaving them starving
Starving their body
starving their mind
Little by little killing the spirit that was once so strong inside them
And yet all concerns seem to be silenced
This one is for the girls who
Cut open the cookie cutter that has been created
To cut the independent woman down to size
Who carve out a door way in this cookie cutter
As a light to shine at the end of the tunnel
This one is for the girls
Who never lose hope
For the girls who refuse to allow their ****** to hold their entire self worth
This is for the girls who
Refuse to allow the mass media to tell them that they are not beautiful
For the girls who have become the shining star
For the girls who are still discovering their own strength as their wound heal
This is for the girls searching for hope in a dark place
Hoping to find stars in the sky that are close enough they can touch
This one is for the girls
Keep on going
Don't lose yourself in this world
Hold your head up high

And show them the strength of a woman.
Thank you for all of your encouraging worss.
This poem was inspired after I shaved my head and have been getting reactions since.
so thank you.stay strong all you beautiful women out there.

Morgan
I watched my best friend's eyes well up
with the burning words of his ex girlfriend;
I watched her trickle down his cheek bones
& all over his blue t-shirt;
I tried to wipe her away with my finger tips,
But I was too late.

She had stained him,
From head to toe he was drenched in her
And even if I had caught her
Before she even touched his skin,
I don't think I would've been able to keep him clean
Because my hands were ***** too
With the grotesque words
Of my ex boyfriend

So we'll just sit here,
An other year unchanged
A deck of cards
& a bottle of whiskey
In the space between our knee caps;
Staring into each other's pain,
Strewn recklessly over my bedroom floor

We'll just sit here,
Filthy together for an other year
Of scrubbing the wasted passion from our bones
I will marry a man,
Who will never let me go to sleep angry,
A man who will hang up the phone,
Then call back right away to apologize.
I will marry a man,
Who never tells me I'm too small,
And never forget to say "I" in front of "love you,"
A man who isn't afraid to kiss me,
Every hour of every day, regardless
Of our surroundings.
I will marry a man,
Who wants to travel with me,
And explore the world,
But knows exactly when I need to stay home.
A man who never judges me weakness,
Or tells me my worries are "wrong,"
But a man who holds me,
Whenever I'm falling apart,
And is never afraid,
To fight for me.
I will marry a man who is all these things,
And somehow even more.
Yet part of me,
Still hopes I'll be marrying you.
Dear Benny,
I know I left when you were just a small boy
As you watched my ship sail off the shore.
I know I left you and said that I loved you
And I kissed your head as you slept the night before,
But all I can recall is the sad look on your face
As I left without a trace!
I could've sworn I saw the frown in your cheeks
As I packed my bags to leave!
Son, I dream of the days when my apologies would mean something
And you could find the heart to forget someone who never had one!

Well son, your daddy was a pirate!
I left long ago so I could find some island
That we all believed to be out there!
But son I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere!
It's the thoughts of what you look like now,
How you've grown and how your little voice sounds,
That haunt my deepest thoughts and my deepest sorrows!
I just want to hold you in my arms tomorrow!

Oh these waves just rock my heart in circles
Like I used to lull you to sleep as the sun sets!
I wish I never left!
I wish I never left!
My heart's still stained with all my regret!
Just remember that when you grow old and start your life
To never live it the way I lived mine!

I heard you're quite the sailor, son,
And I hear you smile just like your mother.
I hear that mom found another man,
And now you have another brother.
Why won't these chests of gold and bottles of ***
Fill this gaping hole inside my black heart!
All I have left is the bitter taste!
All I have left is the bitter taste!
Alcohol makes it all seem great,
But, Benny, it's brought me to these final days!
Find yourself a wife and kiss your son goodnight!
Because sometimes I dream of the days when I'll die!
And to be honest it's starting to feel good.
let the music flow through you, uninhibited
and
make the audience forget they came to a concert
Freshman year I thought
when I get out of here, I'll know everything
Sophomore year I think
these teachers know nothing
Junior year I'll think
who needs school anyway
By Senior year I have dropped out

I learned
From math to
Science to
Reading to
Art to
Health
But learned nothing in
How To Love

I see teenagers crying
Brokenhearted
They lost their innocence but that's the least of their worries
I see my mother
Single taking care of four
Every man walked out on her
She said she'd never leave us
I discovered that that isn't her choice
To make
Death decided I'm better off alone

Teachers please,
Teach me how to let my guard down
At least long enough for people to fall in love with all the flaws of my personality
Teach me how to let someone hold me when I need to be held
Teach Me how to trust others not to hurt me
OH PLEASE!
**Teach me how to love
Long but its how I'm feeling at this moment so please read and give me feedback
