We all lie.
Even I
Even now
Even on the last three lines
Even on the last line
Even now
Even I

Distance is a powerful word.
A word that touches on everything.

Defined as 'The amount of space between two things.'

Space that was added and could be filled up.
Space that is unnecessary. Space that was not wanted.
For example:

The distance between our hands.
From far, a wave at first sight,
Never knowing that your touch,
Will mean so much to me in the future.

From close, together,
A gentle clasp, a perfect fit.
Never letting go: Reassurance.
Everlasting bliss.

The distance between our bodies.
From far, as strangers, before
We've had our moments together.
Your presence grows as the distance closes.

From close, as lovers,
Touching, intertwining,
The kissing of skin, the sharing of warmth,
Making love.

The distance between our eyes.
From far, as acquaintances,
Averting glances of interest,
Curious in every inner thought.

From close, every smile,
Every emotion, more meaningful than before.
Every minute detail shown in awe.
Every moment clad in romance.

The distance between us.
Physically, Emotionally,
Mentally, Metaphorically.

To me, 'Distance' is a powerful word.
I hate it.

Because if there is any distance between me and
Your eyes, your hands,
Your body, your everything.

I would not be myself. I will break apart. I will not be whole again without you.

*I never want to be distant from you.
Moments where she's just not there beside you.

You are a rose and I am a simple leaf
People adore you while I watch from the trees
You handle yourself with dignity and pride
While I'm easily swept by the wind's blowing tide

You are a rose the most confident of them all
And I am a leaf that can easily fall
You have this beauty that radiates love
That beauty you have I could sense from above

You are a rose that can only stay in the grass
And I am a leaf that wishes to be with you at last
But you are a rose and I am a simple leaf
People will adore you, while I can only watch from the trees

My mama

My mother used to hate me. Shortly after she found out she was pregnant with me she started to hate me. She tried to get an abortion, but I wouldn't die. She tried to vacuum me out but I just wouldn't let go... She was late 5 days on her due day , 'cause i just wouldn't leave. She hated me all the way out of her ******, through the ****** and finally out. She hated breastfeeding me, she hated putting me to sleep and changing my diapers. She hated the day i said my first word, "mama", she cursed the day i started to walk. She hated going to my kindergarten recitals, she hated all the contests I won in grade school. As I finished the 8th grade, I left and I moved to a big city with my sister, for grater education and a better life. She didn't say a word before I left, nor the following weeks. Papa was crushed, she lived happily... Until one day, three months later. I was on my way to school, when, in front of the building I saw papa and her. She looked awful. As she saw me she started crying and ran to me. She hugged me and kissed me for minutes, as she kept saying "I love you so much...I'm so sorry...I missed you so much...". Papa said she didn't eat, she couldn't sleep for weeks and she was devastated. I went upstairs with them, I laid her on my bed and she fell asleep in my arms, shivering and whispering, with big tears running down her pale chin...She never woke up... I love you, mama...

I have some mentions to make first. This is not a poem, so if anyone finds it inappropriate for this site, please notice me and I'll take it down. Also, if there are any mistakes in the spelling of some words, please tell me, because my mother tongue is not english. Thank you and enjoy!

I have been seeing you so often in my dreams now
that it surprises me to think:
how could I?
and why should I?

How do I stop?
Why should I dream of you, when you're nothing, or when, at least, I am nothing but a nobody for you.
Excuses

The appointment is set
You’re not to be late
The time then passes
Another failed date

Open with excuses
Words prove nothing
Blister your chances
Miss your blessings

Blind to the fact
That results only add
The mind that can’t change
Then stays the same

Alas the uncrowned king
The unknown dreams
The world does cater
to evolving things

The castrated bull
Is as happy as ever
Unaware to the life
That he could of ruled
In the end results are the only thing that add up.
It's not you
    I promise
What I say is true
      He never deserved
           You

     It's not your fault
           I know for a fact
      Trust me
             You are better
          Than a boy like that

It's for the best
       Please,
    Believe me
He'll do it to the next girl
       And the next
            And next
      You'll find your one
          In this world

        It's time to breathe
             Have faith in what
          I'm saying to you
      This might just be
                Poetry
But I was cheated on too

It's time to believe
      You're worth more than
   You can see
           No more tears, please
      He's not worth your pain
             You're gorgeous
       And you're NOT to blame

     It's for the best,
              It's not you
          Please,
    Just Breathe.
          Believe me,
  Cause I've made it through.
         I know,
      What I say is true.
             Cause
         **I was cheated on too.
I'm here for you.
