 Feb 2018 Hi De
Rykha
I loved you...

A bit too much,
That I chose to stay by your side while you were crying over her

A bit too much,
That I tried to bring back your happiness by helping you win her over again

A bit too much,
That I decided to heal your heart while I broke mine into a thousand pieces

A bit too much,
That I cherished you at your worst while you loved her at your best

You are a novel
gathering dust on my shelf
but not because I don’t want to read
but because I’m afraid
to turn the page,
afraid of how you’ll end
 Feb 2018 Hi De
Lunar
I long to see you already,
Even if the time of our separation—
The distance of a second
Which felt like a lifetime—
Was so short.
I thought of how the verb "long" came to be, when we are missing someone right after parting with them.

 Feb 2018 Hi De

I've been pressing
The sustain pedal
To let the sound of us
Stay longer.

I didn't take note
That no matter how long
I held on to the right keys,
Or how perfect I read
The entire score,
Or how hard I stepped
On that pedal,

No sound emerged.
The piano wasn't just broken:
You weren't playing anymore.
No pianist would break their beloved instrument. Perhaps it was just a misunderstanding between the pianists. I portray a relationship (genetic, friendship, love) here as the instrument. The sound I explained is how a duet on the piano is.

 Jan 2018 Hi De
Sourodeep
A glimpse of you
in the shadow of light,
muddy soaked up leaves
becoming the road's delight.

The softened soil
reminds your touch,
your slow grip
soothing as such.

In the surrounding mist
my eyes search for you,
the heart beats love
dreaming of us
warm in this rain...
painting a lovely view.

The clouds bring to me
your love from far away,
all I feel and see,
your presence near me
.
*entire night and day !
 Jan 2018 Hi De

No, love.
I am not a knight in shining armour.
My armour is bent and dented and
cracked, and underneath it are cuts
and bruises and scars from the horrors
of countless battles I've seen, and
some of them almost did break me.

No, love.
I am not a knight in shining armour.
But if you'll have me,
I'm prepared to take a vow and swear
an oath of fealty and devotion and love.

You need only ask.
You need only ask.
 Jan 2018 Hi De
Rykha
I sat on a park bench,
Five meters away from you;
I stared at you
Several times but you never knew;
You looked my way,
And my heart almost went astray;
Then you stood up, gaped, speechless,
My eyes wandered around
as my emotions became a mess;
As the girl next to me
walked down the park alley,
I realized your gaze
was fixed on her earnestly;
My mind went blank,
heart clenched with despair,
I was no more
than a girl sitting on a bench chair.
Hi guys! :D I'm really glad I became part of this poetry community. This is not the first poem I wrote in my 19 years of existence, but I only got interested in composing poems just recently (yesterday to be exact xD) after reading my friend's work of art. I will be really glad to hear your comments, opinions, and suggestions regarding this poem of mine, especially since I'm new to this field of art. Thank you everyone!! :D
 Jan 2018 Hi De
Rykha
Love, happiness, pain;
Three things I felt after meeting you again.

Love—
My heart fluttered like the butterflies in my belly,
Just like in the past when I bumped into you accidentally.

Happiness—
I was filled with bliss as I looked at your face;
Your smile that was taken has now been regained

Pain—
I regret my actions that throbbed you like swords,
because now she's your reason for the two preceding words.
Inspired by my friend's break-up story. I hope she can move on soon
