mere specks on the globe
are we yet each one of us
so significant
during winter months
trees are naked silhouettes
without their leaves
o'er night's dark canal
the moon's bright crescent did sail
like a gondola
the sun's beaming face
did smile upon the landscape
with a bright visage
foam signatures
remained on the shoreline
telling of wave flow
green carpets of grass
spread their verdant coverage
over the landscape
the oppressor's law
muzzles a dissenting voice
lest it speak of truth
his eyes were smitten
with the outline of her *******
under the soft light
vivid sunlight rays
cut through to the forest floor
revealing bark mats
bright midday sun rays
burnished the bush countryside
in a shining wink
a flight of cranes
landed on the churchyard lawn
to rest mid journey
out on the main street
cars and trucks sluice through puddles
that pothole the road
a light veiling fog
loitered o'er the river
on this Thursday morn
spring's first lovely kiss
twas an exciting new bliss
between the young hearts
he so delighted
in exploring her garden's
bloom of loveliness
through the tall tree stands
shards of light penetrated
to warm the earth's soil
the sun just peeped
out from behind swathing clouds
to show some bright rays
a brilliant blue sky
presides o' er our region
in indigo rule
o'er the black sea sky
the bright silvery moon sailed
throughout the long night
the vulpine duopoly*
did skew terrific results
for their monopoly

they've been so bullish
in fashioning such great ends
*it is quite freakish
my sister's garden
is looking really gorgeous
it's full of pretty blooms
her blue eyes were pools
which he immersed himself
to swim in their beauty
o'er the river bed
a mist curtain loitered
as the sun dawned
on the lake's water
glimmering diamonds bounced
their bright reflections
fresh and printed new
as the glistening morn dew
tis a lovely view

old and so well worn
as the near dead cobs of corn
tis a sight forlorn
at Glasgow's altar
green zealots offer prayers
for carbon cut backs
last night's skirling winds
swirled with a forceful spin
trees were left bowing
the sky on this day
shows a wintry shade of grey
dismal its display
beams of golden shine
rippled atop the creek's trace
glowing in shimmer
on the forest floor
dappled shadows frolicked
in a playful way
in rural township
of Bundarra one doth live
tis a very pretty place
through magenta clouds
dazzling shards of eve sunlight
did cleverly cut
many blossoms adorn
the neighborhoods in our town
lovely is their sight
this morning the sun
glares with a dazzling stare
that blinds the viewer
volleys of thunder*
rolled across eve's dark sky
*announcing rain's call
war is a maddness
causing much too much saddness
let saneness prevail
leaves of red hue
adorn the claret ash trees
near our town's hotel
a fog loitered
over the tree lined streets
till the hour of ten
words so well written
within hearts encrypted
singing poetically
before noon to-day
clouds gathered in the skies
yet they bought no rain
Miss Mavis Morton
made Mister Milton Millgate
many morish muffins
six sozzled sailors
sang several sea shanties
sailing stormy seas
a band of pink clouds
settled in the western skies
late yesterday eve
on the forest floor
many dappled shadows played
as the trees swayed
does anyone recall
lucid technicolor dreams
imagine if you will
neath the golden sun
the willows did sway to the
soft whispering breeze
as I sat writing
a sneaky twee wee breeze did slip
under my back door
where cabbages grew
white winged moths gathered
to eat their leaves
clusters of pretty stars
arrayed in the night sky
like a halo ring
the altar of love
makes the soul its victim
cruel is this device
