If these walls could speak,
They'd tell you all about Art;
Whispers from spray cans.*

I imagine a hell to be

She made it seem like
It was the latest trend;
The way she'd always wear
Her heart on her sleeves

After the fashion
Of her heart dressed up
While other girls thought
She was all messed up.

But her life isn't all
Smiles and validation.
Crop tops and crack rocks.
Loitering at backlots.

With shades to hide her tears,
It's clear that her monsters
Doesn't want her to know
She has something to fear.

Lately, she's been high,
Wasted, short on money.
She moved to the city
That is always sunny.*

My Summer love ended
When she left in June
And she left so soon.

The storm came in before
The flower could bloom
And it rained too soon.

A hotel by the beach.
She loved the calm breeze.
She loved the palm trees.

My Summer love left that
Rainy afternoon
And it rained too soon.*

I swear, I swear
the diamonds around her neck
cannot compare
to the flowers in her hair.

We stare above,
Fail to wake up and smell
the roses when love
is no longer in the air.

She has her thorns
and I accept them all.
Met her in spring,
but she's leaving in fall.

Changing seasons are the
efflorescence of her pain.
Sunshine in a bottle;
she stores away the rain.*

She told me,
'Let's go to heaven
For the hell of it'
As she was smiling
To the starry sky
So benevolent.

Irrelevant when I
Couldn't see her eyes
Set on tomorrow,
But it was just her
Imacable positivity
That had killed my
Pessimistic sorrow.

Because in a universe
That's filled with meteorites
And other cosmic debris,
We're just bright stars
Shooting for something
Further than the moon.*

Darling,
My heart beats for you
Like the fists of
Policemen outside our door.

They have the
Building surrounded,
Much like our love
In the winter air.

They're in search
For the fugitive
Who stole your heart
Held up for ransom.

Honestly, you still shine
Brighter than every
Beam of searchlights
Peeking through the blinds.

But i'm not just a thief
Lying through his teeth,
So don't let me breathe
The fume that you leave me
To believe is your love.

Just hear me out,
Before the men in blue
Place me in the black and white
With those silver bracelets;

I plead guilty of theft,
So let us ****
The time that we have left
With one last kiss
Before we're split apart,

Because
My love for you
Is a crime that
I'm willing to commit.*

are in a long-term relationship.
