Oh, it's in this area of love, I've been wounded too many times
that my heart has gone numb as I'm now left dabbling in meters and rhymes.
Simple Observation #465. From 'Simple Observations' ongoing writings since the early 90's.
Why Men Cry in the Bathroom

For so many reasons.
I will tell you the why.
I think you know,
Or perhaps, you think you know.

Men are always O.K.,
Even when not.

We expect the worse,
Accept the worse,
Nonetheless,
We are forever unprepared.

Wearily, we cry,
In the bathroom, in private,
Lest sighs slip by,
We be unmasked,
Early warring, strife signs warning.

Copious, tho we weep
Before the mirror confessor,
It is relief untethered,
Unbinding of the feet,
An uncounting
Of beaded rosaries,
Of freshly fallen hail stones,
Of night times terrors
By dawn's early edition's light,
and welcomed.

But look for the mute tear,
The eye-cornered drop,
*** tat, that never drops,
But never ceases formation and
Reforming, over and over again,
In a state of perpetuity of reconstitution,

The tippy tear of an iceberg revealing,
And I see you peeping, wondering,
What is beneath

Look for:
the torn worm-eaten edges of spirit,
thrift shop bought, extra worn,
grieving lines neath the eyes,
where the salt has evaporated,
discolored the skin.
worry lines,
under and above,
browed mapped, furrowed boundaries.
the laugh line saga,
where better days are stored,
recalled, as well as recanted,
publicly, privately.

Why just men?

I don't know,
Perhaps,
it is all I know.

your effusive and lengthy comments are each a poem in their own right.

Tinkered with June 22, 2013
With a push from Bala,
A serial peeper, thank God!

your
words
flow

thrown
its sharpness
in my heart

bleeding
with another words
that'll flow
and throw
its sharpness
to you

Fake smiles
Fake happiness
Is better staying alone sometimes
Than being prisoner of their mess
Nowadays no one is truly honest.
It's like anyone is trying to hide something.
You're all scared. We are all scared.
We are terrified to show the world who we really are.
We are petrified to the idea of being vulnerable.

we should not force ourselves to write
let the words come out
through emotions
because it needs to be written

you're

always on my mind
when I look back on the memories
of us
what ifs

always on my mouth
when I murmur words
to myself
what ifs

always on my fingers
when I type these words
for you
what ifs

always on my eyes
when I read all your poems
for me
what ifs

always will be in my heart
like a permanent vein
carrying blood
reminding me
that you're always be my maybe

words
are just like
drugs
meant
to heal
or
sometimes
poison us

i just wanted you to know
that I've been reading your poems
your stories
your heart
and I too
bleed for these words
like you
and I hope
you read mine too
when your heart
seek for words

kung hindi ka umalis
ikaw sana ang nakasayaw ko
ilang oras na pag indayog
kahit sumakit pa ang paa ko

hawak ang iyong beywang
hawak ang iyong mukha
hawak ang iyong kamay
hawak ang iyong mundo

dahil kung hindi ka umalis
ay ikaw lang ang isasayaw
ikaw lang ang magdamag bubulungan
ng mga nararamdaman
kakantahan
kasabay ng mabagal na kanta

ngunit hindi naman din kita masisisi
kung bakit ka umalis
dahil hindi natin ito kasalanan
pero kahit ganon pa man
madami sana tayong pagsasamahan
kung walang nangyaring iwanan
