A dragon so red.
Throw me on you'r bed.
Between your *******,
I passed the tests.

Soft lining,
I see you shining.
Dress slipped off,
a fiery cough.

Precious eyes,
they speak so wise.
clawing down,
taking me to Chinatown.

A wise man once told me,
what comes (goes).
That’s all he knows.

A wise woman once told me,
What comes (may stay).
But it might only be for a day.

A wise child once told me.
What comes (Has no meaning).
Because something is intervening.

i laugh
at the naivety of a poem
i wrote when i was 8
that described what love is.
then it struck me
i’m no wiser about love now
than i was then.

Wise Old Sage uses a microwave
But the plate won't spin
That's not how you behave
You need a balance to win

They say do as your told,
Says Wise Old Sage,
And then your story will eventually unfold
But why do that when you can rip off the page?

Our shoulders met
It was the start of something I'd regret
But then I look into your eyes
It made me forget how to be wise

Dear night mother,
The youngling flew the coop.
Off for wild adventures, he cannot be tamed.
His elder kin spoke of magic,
The intellectual splendor of spells
Gifted yes, but not quite so as her
The painted daughter of darkness,
She colours the world in twilight.
This brings us to dusk, mantle I wear proud.
Eldest of eld, nutured by you mother,
To grow strong, wicked and well.

Those glowing eyes,
The prestege of feathers
Mother owl, bless our endeavours.
Grow old, grow wise

Bless you, oh mother,
And the nocturne skies.

When is "The One" the one?
When do hearts collide?
For one is beautiful...
Another is wise...

One possesses strength
Another kindness
Some virtue
Others mildness

The One I wait for
Is one indeed
And has all the qualities
Of the one I will need

But until she comes
This I must tell
All these I see
"Yet I am well"
Inspired by Benedick in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing
