Sometimes
I'm tired
And it's not something you can fix
With a hug, a smile, and a kiss

Today
I'm tired
Not physically, but mentally
A pervading thing that drains me

And I
Am tired
Of this tedious mortal coil
Oh, to lay down and cease this toil

I think
I shall
Slip away from this world tonight
Perhaps when I pass, all will be right

Oh speak to me
Goddess
Angel
Who wears her blue
Halo
Around her neck
Awaken
My dollar eyed deity
And point your fingers
Full of bills
To the answer
Or the lie
Spread your
Deceitful wings
And embrace the lost
Fill them
With greed
And show them
The paper and metal
Pathway to
Sadness
For the weak
Always
Kneel to your
Valuable allure
And they will die unknowing

I dug a little and I cried a little
On a hillside that was steep,
So my mama could sleep.

Each dig I dig it‘ll
**** me, gotta dig a grave six feet deep,
I dug a little and I cried a little

The birds I hear them tweet,
I don’t want to see her go so I piddle,
I want my momma to sleep.

Someday on this hill we’ll meet
The dirt is hard and rock riddled,
I dug a little and I cried a little

I’m the only one to do this deed,
The worms will have their nibble,
but my mama will sleep

I’ve finished my job and I’ll have to venture,
I’ve dug so long the ground is sleet.
I dug a little and I cried a little
So my mama could sleep.
To Libby and her Mother.

Help me breath again
And make my heart swing.

I want you to be
The one to shuffle with me,
Be the rock I lean on,

And let your shoulders meet mine.
I'll eventually snap into pieces
When I'm no longer holding back -
I need you to come back to me.

I held you in my arms when you left me,
And heard utter an "I love you,"
Before you closed your eyes.

I finally got to relax
When weary of my travels

I turned off the lights
And let time pass me by.
Because the future, it seems

Is very different.
The games is the same,
Or did it slip your mind?
Because I remember

You didn't care enough
To cry a few tears
When you did me wrong.

Pick up your head, my friend.
Lift up your weary eyes to see
The end of your journey is near.

Unburden your heart, my friend.
Shuck off each worry at your feet,
For they are not granted entry here.

Walk steps that are lighter, my friend.
For weighed down you'll no longer be
In this place that will be your haven.

Sing melodies unsung before, my friend,
As your healed soul rises from the ashes
Of a trouble life left behind for good.

Be well, my friend.
Do not fear the things you saw
For here there are no haunting memories.

Live free, my friend.
For here there is naught but peace
And rest for your now healed soul.
I hope we all find the place
That gives us the peace
our soul needs.

Endless conflict between ego and soul
Fighting fuel by power, greed, and gold
Nirvana for the moment has grown old
Running from good, stumbling over the ridged plank masked by mold
I become imprisoned in my own temple
The evil deeds I have  done from the past have come back urging me to feel empty instead of whole
Thirst by the soul has been quenched with poison
The plan Satan has laid for me has come back uncoiling
Ego winning, slowly up to feet
Soul, on the verge of misery as it's energy cries in defeat
Falling victim to what once critiqued
Gazing upon the inside of my soul a hypocrite, indeed
The one gap on the golden path is the need to impress
The more I give in, the more I commit these sins, the more my soul has regressed
The constant war between Yin and Yang has got me deeply stressed
Writing so, has put the flame to rest

Tis but a dream I scream I scream
My body weak and weary

I lay in bed with throbbing head
And thoughts dark and dreary

I sing the song, What's wrong? What's wrong?
Am I left forgotten?

This be said, face turn red
Stomach spoiled and rotten

Demons spawn, be gone, be gone
As they take my breath

Be pearly gate or hell as fate
I've come to my death
I wrote this 13 years ago when I was 12 years old, during a thunderstorm.
