Sympathy for the devil
A phrase we all know
It means to be understanding
Of a man who cant tell

Who cant tell the difference
Between what is good and bad
Who cant desipher the code
And so they live bottled up and sad

It means to take righteous
And stuff it in a box
For its not strong enough,
Barely a bull, or an ox

We need something more
A tank would suffice
A super charged righteous
And even still...on thin ice

It takes a great man
To stand up and say
"Im just as bad as you"
The irony is plain...

How could a man with such talent...
For good...
be brought to lesser
By the very words he brewed

Sadly it is so
That great evil be marked
As the final word in all the world
When it was the good that provided the start

The start to say "sorry"
"I admit i did wrong
It is my fault too"
As they sing that apology song

Then the darkness takes over
The advantage clearly sought
They know of bad charecter,
Except their own-they know not

The devil replies with a smirk
And always strolls on
Steam rolling the righteous
The tank is now gone

My point is just this...
Please apretiate the man
Who can apear before great evil
And say "i will take a stand"

For this he is wise
And couragous as well
He knows he's not perfect
Which is what makes a perfect angel
Be righteous more than anything, u will get steamrolled, trampled, used, and abused, but all that will happen anyway, its better in the end to say "i would have done the same" and with a proud understanding, be set free of emotional obligation for revenge, anger, frustraition, or any other emotion that would harm your mental tranquility, it feels better...i learned this lesson...long ago
Being desirable messes with your mind
Think this through and i think you will find
It’s better to be bashful and shy
Then beautiful, bodacious, and that kind of guy
Cause that kind of guy goes away in time
And then you’ll be left with a story like mine.
never get ahead of yourself, always be righteous
courage is a soldier who defends his home with might
rage is a warrior who fights without foresight
courage is the blessed soul who knows when what is right
rage is a flawed man, who gives his life with spite
someday i will be a man
with a kind and righteous heart
even when love does not find me
i'll still have a lovely start
for although i’m not a charmer
and although i am insane
a righteous light may guide me
through the shadows of resentment and pain
i once wrote a poem called "shadow of regret" now that that stage of my life had ended, this is the refutation to that, being righteous did indeed guide me through that resentment, and all it took was a little persistance
Death is but a darkened door
That leads away from life
Love is but a little light
From a shadow cast in sight
Shame is such a sour fate
As is war and wealth
But we won't worry about those things
And so, we’ve saved ourselves
is their any person on earth more righteous than a monk?
Gift to me my solitude please
I regret to inform you that you must leave
Your walking all over my “unholy place”
Not “unholy” as in Satan
It’s more like disgrace
I want to be left in my peace
I've done some bad things, got grit in my teeth
So leave me now, i wont ask again
Leave me, for i am not a good man.
the criminal that really deserves a second chance, is the righteous one
You think you're better than me
Really? is that so?
I guess we’ll never know for sure
Until you start acting humble
Please stop rubbing it in my face
For the only thing i really see
Is jealousy and disgrace
the instant you say your better then someone, you become less than them
Be a humble spirit
And one day you will find
That being humble and accepting
Will help make up your mind
Only you can defeat your pride
Only you can be the bigger man
And then one day you’ll find a bride
And with that, a helping hand
Forgive yourself, even when they won't
For they dont always understand
When words are tossed about like stones
And you don't know if you can
When lies are spread like a wild fire
When your friends are blinded by fear
Even when you’re indescribably tired
And you can even manage a tear
Forgive yourself, Even when they don't
Your old life will be back soon
Nothing is unforgivable
Oh! And be humble and righteous too!
this is my favorite of all the poetry i've written because it applies so often, and leads to a better life
Always a gentlemen
Never a ****
Don't lie, Dont cheat
And don't ever hurt
Fight the temptation
Refuse that desire
Don't be the spark that causes the fire
Speak with ones actions
Fight with one's words
So your characters known
As a man to be heard
never forget yourself, and always let others in line first
