paint me the colors of the rainbow
cover all my dullness,
all my grayness

make me a mask of colors
make it happy
no sight of sadness should be there

make my clothes gleam and glow
to shine away all my flaws
as it is expected that my body will be perfect

make my shoes shine bright red
like those of dorothy's
to hide the red blisters they are causing

paint me the colors of the rainbow,
make me shine bright
to mask all the pain
Make me colorful again

We dance on the edges
Of our silhouetted frames
As if we were water
Dripping lightly
On empty window panes

But you were the dewdrops
Bringing life to the days
Drizzling slightly to bring
Rainbows diminishing the grays

And the first time
Your deep ocean eyes
Met with mine
I began to wonder
If you would've danced in the rain
Singing as I always did
Or if you would've hid under umbrellas,
Like the others, too afraid
Of the storm
I was born to be?
(I recently read this old poem and realized one of two things. One- this was one of the shorter poems of RH's I've read in a while and that Two- I remembered a couple years ago looking over RH's shoulder as she wrote the final draft to a novel she wrote with the title of the same name (which was no doubt inspired by this poem). I never found out if it were ever published but it was one of my favorite novels by her by far and do hope to read it again in the future. Thank you all for the support so far and Happy Writing! ~BM)

Chasing rainbows

I’m chasing rainbows, searching for answers,
Looking for all the happy people and all the happy dancers.
I’m craving happiness in the darkest of worlds
And I am not one who knows when to take his chances.

We are still searching, because we still believe we are young;
But we are strung out on a search for love, like it is a drug.
We are the fighters; the fighters for love!
We are the foolish, the youthful; the dumb.

The soldiers, the army, the many and the few;
We are willing to die for love and for you.
We are the underdogs of love, born to lose;
But still we believe, so we shall continue.

Our relationship died in front of our eyes
And now all I see are the ruins of my life.
Love disappeared like the end of a rainbow.
Now all I see is death; love is dead…
What hope is there for tomorrow?

Rainbows are red
Red like beautiful love,
Or like the blood of the dead.
Red, color of intensity. Yes, this fits like a glove.

Rainbows are also cyan
Just like the warm sky surrounding
Or like ice, an element that can,
Just like its color, give you a calm feeling.

Of course, there's indigo too
Not unlike the deep ocean,
Or sadness; after all, you’re “feeling blue”
Such vastness in one color’s span

Its purple is another hue
Symbolizing nobility
And perhaps vanity, it’s true
But you’d be proud donning it, surely?

Visible as well is orange
Revitalizing fruit, as we all know
It’s also part of fire’s burning rage
It’s the emblem of energy, it is certainly not hollow

And I can't forget about the bright yellow
Reminder of sunlight, it brings us warmth
Just like a joyful smile, I can only bow
To the happiness this color brings forth

And lastly, the ever-so-lively green
The veritable symbol of nature
And this hue being so serene
Reflects this fact; it gives me hope for the future.

This poem goes to all who wave
The rainbow flag with all their might
Despite the inevitable criers of “Shame!”,
I know that your hearts are right.

To Patrick
This is certainly not my best one yet, but I've been experimenting with subjects other than just love lately. Here's hoping for quick improvement!

The Rainbow is melting and softly dripping on her back
Her thoughts smother in the dark
Sun is gone
The streets, still wet cause of past rain
Mommys words resound in long forgotten memories
"Rainbows arise when the sun kisses the rain"
But hell, there is no sun to kiss !

And what I see in her
is beyond the moon
for she doesn't need rain
to form rainbows
but only her smile.

Inside a rainbow cloud,
energies come.
Blissful, peaceful light,
that spirals into all.

Inside a rainbow cloud,
joy penetrates moment.
Cells expand and pulsate
reverberating love.

Inside a rainbow cloud,
eyes open to visions grand.
Endless possibilities anchor.
from divine orchestration.

The new times are here
A gift long awaited for.
A world with
humanity awake to love,
BEGINS.
NEW ENERGIES FROM OUR CENTRAL SUN ARE DUE TO COME VERY SOON. THEY WILL BE ENERGIES TO AWAKEN AND SHIFT HUMANITY. THESE ARE GRAND TRANSFORMATIONAL TIMES.
