turkey's walk the street
humans say beep politely
life in the slow lane

And it waited a moment longer than a moment’s pause

It was rain resisting its temper, attempting tenderness

Each drop the poignant pain in a patient bladder when you hold to hear the end

Then, it drowned the saplings in the gutter

a violent politeness
an apology for impeding
a housewarming gift

Genuine polite and humble men are often misunderstood and tagged as flirty.May be because they are rarest of all the species , I guess.

I met someone who restored faith in humanity
Only for a little while

Very kind

The kind of person idolized

While at the lowest point
My life
Reached down from a high point in his and helped me climb up a few notches
I think maybe I was only dreaming though because now I see you are on the same level as me and probably have been the whole time

She be evergreen
Her roots run deep
Age made wise
from a tactful mind
Fair with auburn hair
Soft spoken and polite
Forthright hands on
Still standing strong
and not yet peaked

You lighted up my world like a spark for a while,
how unfortunate I was I thought the day has arrived.
I mistook you for sun that was me being naive,
you burned my world and said "I was just being polite".

The results are undeniable,
My fears are justifiable.
I know you mean no harm,
But I’m a sucker for your charm.
I mean, on paper, you’re ideal,
But I’m already losing what is real.
I’m tripping over words inside my head.
I don’t know what should be left unsaid.
Polite smiles are well and good
But I would scream if only I could.
I feel my demons scratch my tongue,
Trying to silence what I’ve become.
I’m running out of space inside my mind,
I just can’t be who I left behind.
I am honest and I am strong.
So why does that now feel so wrong?
And I know freedom isn’t free
But I’m begging you not to break me.
