Get into your seat, writer,
Find your home inside the ink,
Construct the walls out of paper,
Your desk out of pencils,
And your pipes out of hollowed pens.

I know you fell for the feeling,
But it's easy to get lost in it all,
If you walked away now,
I know you'd go insane.

Upon your mirrors there's words,
Reflections that spell your introspection,
Flip it around cause it's too much noise,
Cause, writer, the sound is burdening you.

I know you fell for the feeling,
But it's easy to get lost with it all,
Crashing down on your thin walls,
I know you're going insane.

My Dear Poet Jun 2022
F
I submitted my poem
to a teacher, Mr Rowan
and he graded it an F
Still, I’m a great poet
he just doesn’t yet know it
but some day he’ll have to confess

though he’ll give me an E
yet when it comes to poetry
I’m the greatest poet there ever was
I’ll climb my way to a D
just wait and you’ll C
I’ll prove it just because

I’ll let go and let B
he’ll wonder if it’s me?
A poet born not made
he’ll grant me an A
on a poem I’ll tear up that day
and prove I’m more than just a grade

Stranger to the audience.
Stranger in the community and the family.
A stranger to one’s own mother,
A shadow to one’s own shadow,
A foreigner in the country of one’s own,
in every land he has been in
In the town he was born in
Abandoned by hope
in every town worldwide
on every planet one could find.

A worldwise vagabond,
With disheartened face,
targeted by murderers and madman alike
Across distant deserts and seas
Windbourne with no goals or dreams.

Betrayed by everyone,
Abandoned tranquilly
“friends” fiends,
He has forgiven them,
Perished to the infinite
Never to be back again.

For noone will ache,
love or forgive,
man is a machine with nothing to give.

All life in one suitcase
unsettled, macabre
soaring across dreary universe
homeless, roofless,
with no dreams or aim,
weary of World’s pain.

The sun has stopped.
Mankind has fallen
Evil has carried the day
Blowing the angels away

One and all is just as lonely
The lost are wandering the world
Abandoned, heartbroken
Their traces, as if they never were before
There is Love no more

Somewhere, away from the wicked
Night is yearning for the sun
Where the endless pit finishes
Where the dream extinguishes
The wound has healed
The song rendered speechless
In pursuit of redemption
The Poet was left voiceless.

Where there are no tears
no shoulder to cry on
no time to repent
no chance to forgive

Where there is no misery
Where stops all joy and treachery
What will be will be,
Not even a whisper of a prayer
to sound
There is no more poetry
- ring the curtain down.

Candle lights and a day long sigh
Gray evening tea resting by
the journal
which's last page I thought I'd pen today;

But I can't seem to narrate,
today's unfolding
about how the world I knew
Put off it’s last enchanting shred;

But this thought suddenly gone faraway
As if blown by the witches wind,
Yes, witches wind I would say
Though this reality was a thunderous cloud, it brought promise of rain;

And I didn't know my heart did witchcraft, so intense,
It hypnotised me to immerse myself in the indulgence
of cherishing an unlived memory again;
Still working on this

Have you ever wondered about the odds?
How our fates intertwine-
In this vast and troubled world?

Could it be destiny?
Perhaps it was written in the stars,
Ages or even eons ago,
That we were bound to meet,
That we would fall in love,
That you and I, would grow apart,
And you would eventually leave.

But I will never forget,
That midsummer’s night,
When the breeze smelled like your cologne,
And with every breath I took,
I was breathing you in.

The stars, how they shined so brightly,
And the fact, that I couldn’t stop myself from staring at your eyes,
Because they were more beautiful,
Then the rest of the universe combined.

you come around when i least expect it
or maybe when i need you the most and don't want to admit it
i miss you whether you're here or not

it's like you appear behind a passing citizen
and watch me look at you through a crowd of people
and i notice it faster than i should admit

and i want nothing more than for you to approach
to ask if i'd like a cup of coffee
to have a conversation

you disappear just as fast as you've arrived
already leaving me with finding the answers myself
my jaw aching with things i never got to tell you

your legacy is the only one i'd be willing to uphold if you leave
even if it's short notice
or something you've prepared for
i have a sinking feeling that it's something you've prepared for.
