As leaves of crimson fall,
& bleed  like cherry wine
sleeping parrot greens,
they overtake mind,
I quietly approach,
set up a sneaky blind,

I spot a toucan looking tree
in colors rarely seen
it takes my breath away
in soft & brilliant sheens,
showing off the beauty,
& creating quite a scene,

Amber hues of mustard,
blending in with rust,
others look like wheat
that was baked inside a crust,
so telling you about it,
is something that I must,

Burning up the sky
in flamingo sunset pink
as if I'm in the Tropic's
just sippin' down a drink,
look at all the colors,
just amazing,
don't you think?

Like a lovely bird of paradise
is landing in my hair,
so I can write it down
a story we can share,
I'm jotting down the words,
like Ginger & Astaire,

Out arift upon the skies
I hear the weeping willow
I close my eyes to dream
& lay on leafy pillows
like sheets of iridescent,
quoting as they billow,

I stand in admiration,
a journey that I applaud
sent to me from heavens
from hands, a loving God,
leaves today are burning
stand mystified & awed

So beautiful & grand
your plumage is at peak,
waving me dear willow
I softly hear her speak,

Listen to the sounds
as they open up their beak

Go press a few examples
to savor every day
listen very closely
to every word I say
you take 'em out again
when the skies are turning grey

Sigh inspired ink, at least I hope, I think
: ) no idea what kinda tree though. ❤
With his full greed and lust Satan runs in my blood
Makes my lust and sensuality to stir like violent flood
All beauty of the world starts blossoming like a bud
My soul is reinvigorated my strength makes me stud

My all emotions arise my love takes all beauty to ****
From every green branch all flowers I want to pluck
My youth is at its peak so every beauty wants to struck
My love is on fire her beauty is ready to play havoc

My life has its ******* sentiments touch the green sky
With my sweetheart I want to dangle dance and to fly
Every beauty should be ready to give my love just a try
Love is at its peak beauty is ready to kiss from eye to eye

World is so beautiful with chains of society and religion
All these hurdles make me take my taste and just run
All is but transitory carrying all its pun with all fun
When I see love and beauty ,priest and nun one on one

In my photo album there's a black and white snapshot from your old Kodak camera. I'm sitting upon your stalwart shoulders with a backdrop of mountainous desert. Upon your height my head is above the hills my smile brighter than the whole blue sky.

I still remember that day. We went to Picacho Peak with a picnic lunch and climbed through the rocks, investigated the arroyos. The desert was alive with wildflowers. I collected some and brought them to you - you named every one.
Bluish-purple lupine. Yellow rabbit's bush.
Orange African daisies. Bright desert poppies. Indian paintbrush, flaring strokes of carmine fire. Pale pink globe mallow.

You have such a brilliant mind, a scientist in love with nature. I think you collected some seed to plant with the cacti in your backyard garden...

I still remember. It was a day that stands like that peak in my memory. The breeze in my curls way up high, upon those mountainous shoulders. It whispered to me of the desert spirits. And our guardian angels sang of the wonders of freedom.

I know you heard it, too.

For my father Clinton E. Jarvis.
I love you, dad!

(I'm visiting with my dad today. This is an early birthday present!
Sorry I can't read today. It's going to be very busy for me.)

Love is like a mountain
You work hard to get to the peak,
And if you're determined,
You reach it.

Love is like a mountain
You use up a lot of yourself,
You try to reach the peak
But give up when you lose hope

Love is like a mountain
When you reach the peak,
You've reached your goal
Just like love
Make an effort,
A big effort perhaps,
And eventually
You will reach her heart

Love is like a mountain
When you leave the peak,
You will feel incomplete,
Leaving a place you worked hard
To get to,
But you will never forget
The experience up there
Just like love
When you leave her heart
You never forget
What happened with you two
I'm having an affair with words
They take away my breath
Words tell me what I need to hear
Without missing a step

Words work on my emotions
I'm transcended by their displays
There's legitimate anticipation
Within each and every page

When I look away for too long
There is a longing that takes place
The wonder of conclusion
Vanished, without a trace

Words help me to liberate my own ideas
In the subtlest of ways
Or when my faith seems in doubt
I am enlightened by a phrase

Their sense of humor is unequaled
Words teach us and inform
They can be as cold as ice
Or soothing, kind, and warm.

Words hold many of life's answers
To questions that we seek
When written, we can convey
Much more than when we speak

Words empower, words are strong
They help decipher right from wrong
Words can guide you,
Lead you home
Words are your friends
When you're alone

Words can help, or they can harm you
Depending on their use
Words can fool you, or misguide you,
Lie, or tell the truth

What I love, are words' transparency
Written right there in black and white
If misconstrued, words can lead to tragedy
Although the stories' plot is trite

We must take part in the mastery
Of each and every words avail
So that the notions we wish to ration out
Are nothing but...
The finest of detail.

Precision personified
Never at a loss for words
Or ****** with a mouth for war
That's when devastation's heard

Instead, a calming smoothness
Inspiration from inside
This, in my opinion, is the greatest use of words
And the peak of humanities pride.
This writing was an extension of a poem I started many months ago. I truly made a valiant effort to express everything I felt about what writing, and being able to write, means to me. If I didn't accomplish the feat, I did manage to come close. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

At the peak his roar is in the words of mountain winds,
a rare sweetness it brings out,a flow natural from his self,
she acquires then the lilt of a song bird, flying in an open cloudless sky,
a song bird that has sweetly pecked her aggressive mate to submit,
something she couldn't believe, that astonishment becomes her croon.

They soar, the illusion of wings make them both lose bearing, wobble,
going up, up to dizzy heights, above the caressing silver white clouds,
then slowly tumbling down on earth, they feel like feathers entwined.

The wind whistles a tune, eyes widely closed they jive, time stands still,
that sweet exhaustion, prods for one more dance above the clouds.

lost in your eyes, your smile,
          your laugh

over and over, it all seems to fall apart
but in a blink of an eye it gets
          stitched back
          over and over it happens
          just like that

riches in actions and gestures
          you show

every little thing is made more
          precious by you

zenith, the peak, the best, the bold
         but still quite unsure

oh how i wish our future together
is as definite as the sun sharing
         it's light with the moon

Through the obscure woodland,
Under the path shown by starry sky,
Over the hillock of misery,
Finally standing on the mountaintop high above.
Staying there forever
Is impossible,
And without the rough ascent
Unreachable,
Tumbling back down
Is inescapable,
Being ready for it, though,
Is sensible,
And not remaining down there defeated,
Is reasonable.
they say: "early bird, gets the worm"
So, what happens when.. The worm gets there early? Does he have revenge or does he let the birdie fly? Just like the bird has to eat; &feed..; The worm does also. So tell me, does the early worm; get the bird? &which; one are you?
