"Things are becoming good",
What beautiful lines erupt from the wisdom,
Oh!
not from me,
From one who had pree,
Pree myriad possibilities,
Unheralded life proffered serenity.
A simple visit, turn into unexpected discussion, some learning, a glimpse to the positive side, a new perspective for the mind
around the bends of my mind
lies some memories
of uninhibited realism
of high fidelity
to myself
in letting myself go
somewhat joyous
somewhat chaotic
somewhat musical
but just there
to feel and see things
for more than what they mean
through my own eyes
seems rather unusual
but I go back in time
take a deep-dive
to recapture these ephemeral bubbles
of blissful euphoria
as if singing
to my alter ego
'We can be heroes,
just for one day
We can be us,
just for one day!'
Heroes by David Bowie seems to be the perfect song to relive those high-on-life moments.

Fake, Like

Only Those who

It's
Better to
Make A

To Sit Back

Not Trying at
all.

The Road to

Its
Part of

OPPORTUNITY

"opportunity isn't far but it usually

hides in difficult circumstances and

it takes optimism to figure out."

Meandering Words Nov 2020
at one point
ranks of flowers
lined the garden;
none of which
i could name
nor did i care
to learn

but at full bloom
staring into that kaleidoscope
those colours and the shapes;
there was catharsis

looking now
the garden is
a palette smeared
a spectrum of brown;
         brownish yellow
   greeny brown
      brown on
        slightly darker brown

the dog maintains eye contact
while defecating
on the flower beds;
and this is also
strangely cathartic

There is a mist that seems flowing
Upon that which was once clear,
A fog of emotions glooming over
And a wretched, untethered fear.

A life lived but limitless, yet in
Pensive misgivings doomed.
And a life lived all too fully yet
In anxious unease consumed.

Is one single moment of Eureka
Be best a man could conquest?
Or a lord, or a lover.. say, together
Could one lifetime ever manifest ?

There are doubts in those living
A manual, never was .. on Life
Serendipitous journey, is it not then?
What an adventure, 'tis to be alive !
What is life but a series of events unfolding in front of your eyes. Cherish the visuals till they last.

The History:
I just signed the lease to my first place with the help of a couple angels. Moving always gives me a sense of dread. I guess it's the unknown, the wild, the lack of control that scares me the most. Alas, I am optimistic-ish.

how did we start,
equating hope to silly?
the fallacy of optimism,
contrasted by the truth of pessimism,
confused as realism, facts
sent by a goal of ataraxia
(unachievable)

supported by leadership position
(unaccessible)

tinted of eudaimonia
(indefinible)
and the loss of getting ahead
at what cost?
do you tear down
others' hope
with your glance,
fuelled by your own
cowardly manner,
afraid of losing
what you never had,
walks around telling others they won't miss it?
Glenn Currier Nov 2020
Now I can float with you
on dreams of possibilities
daring to hope again
for a season of light.
We are partners of the universe
in flight
not fright.

Dreams are made of possibilities
not of economics or hands
and bare-***** probabilities
but of living tissue
of heart.
I bow to and send thoughts and prayers of gratitude to Cne for her poem, “It’s Good to Dream” on her page on here: https://hellopoetry.com/livandletliv/poems/

Cry hard.         Cry long.

But know you cannot hold love
with a broken heart.
