hit
me hard
cos I wanna see stars
the work of Your hands turns into light upon my face
and in my eyes  I see Your nebulae like the red
afterbirth of love          the glittery remains
of                   Your glorious fireworks
as You blow up tight brown boxes
found stashed inside my mind
and ignite the tinder
your breath dried inside me
   released from suffocation into
      sudden oxygen from Your chest
all the black lies shoot bright
across the sky as You shimmer
                                          your truth down into
                                                                   my world
God's work is like fire. There is nothing boring about being a Christian. Don't believe that lie. Let God light it up
The sky is so tragically beautiful;
A graveyard of stars.

i am
nebula
an explosion of stardust
i am
a supernova
fear me
i am
universes
galaxies
asteroids
i am
a little cosmos
within me
if you don't dare
reach
for the stars
stay away from me
i'll swallow you
like a black hole
i am made out of
dark matter
don't you even dare
come closer
if you're not ready
to explore
uncharted
territory

Today I learnt that after the Big Bang,
there was antimatter,
the mirror image of matter.

Antimatter and matter
destroyed each other when they met,
thus they annihilated everything in their path,
and the universe was left almost empty.

And I thought about how your touch
against my skin,
brought the same catastrophic destruction.
And the universe inside of me,
was left in pieces,
only to be visible through
vacant eyes and
unfinished poetry.

In your wake, you left pieces of you
embedded into my skin,
jagged scars of memories
I tried to claw out of my bones.
You tore at my skin with your spitting words
yet I held you close during your goodbye.

"We are opposite poles of a world
I long to know."

You were beautiful,
and I was never
brilliant enough.
love is a paper boat that sinks
i am a sailor that never learnt
how to swim.

The "dark planet" it's called
because a stars light can't reflect
a single atom of brightness
visible to the eye.
Suspended in space
light years and light years away
an entire new world
with a blackened sky.
A human hand can't touch
a surface too hot for clouds,
that swims beneath supernovae,
absorbing the potential of sunrise.
The journey would pass through
the Pillars of Creation
around Sirius and Betelgeuse
and Proxima Centuri.
If I could explore
many a glittering nebulae,
with Sagittarius I could speculate
and with comets could I pry.
But on a marble's where we've thrived,
and speculated a silver rock,
why not look deeper to the veil of explosion
And, with that, the wonders that colour our sky?
Just a little side note as I am aware this may not make sense; I was reading about exoplanets - specifically TrEs-2b- and I was inspired to write a celestial themed poem  so there we are :)

a cosmic heartbeat
lost in time,
suspended in space
a cold embrace
nebula eyes and milky way skin
never to commit a sin
asteroid temper and moon cold grace
dancing in a frayed chase
