That rabbit with the purest of white fur
Into the jaws of that wolf, it dived
But while that wolf thought about dinner
The rabbit thought of every way to survive

Atlantis

A body blessed
With perfection and purity.
A pond running
Down a village stream
With grace and beauty.
Sunlight drips like honey
Through the trees,
Into the warming body—
Nature’s purest creation.

The sun breathes
Warmth into the water.
Kids swimming
In the most loving
Bedtime story,
Putting their minds
To sleep—
Just for a second,
Entranced
By happiness—
So much so,
It almost feels
Like home.

An Atlantis
That never fell—
The only purity
Left in the world.

Birds awaken,
Turning silence into song.
Splashing sounds echo.
Lotus flowers bloom
On the surface,
Shedding sweet, scented petals
Into the water—
Feeling like,
There a relic
From the lost city of
Atlantis—
Reminding everyone
Of nature’s innocence.
The sweet scent
Reminds the children
Of a mother’s hug.

This is our Atlantis—
Our purest creation.

My heart aches
pain spilling over
watering the plants
that grow in the dirt above you
as flowers do sprout

I pick them
you never were a fan
of how they swayed gently in the wind
tethered by roots to the ground
you preferred to move wild and free
and though your body can no more,
I feel your soal with me
so I do run along with you

In separations, the smell of death lingers,
And in reunions, life, warmth, and solid timber.
The forest sings for the leaves of east,
And welcomes thee, then whimpers—
Of joy, what joy, what wonderful winds
That bring the breath of winter
That cling onto my lady’s breast
And promise me to bring her.
Breath caught between seasons, a whisper where endings and beginnings entwine.

We blend together like honey and milk,
Like razor-sharp blades on pearly skin,
Like widows to dark apparel cling—
We are together with flowers and spring.

In her arms were forty streams,
And stars in her hair—seven.
She sat above the angels’ wings,
And they carried her to heaven.

There to dwell—where, I can’t tell.
Too far, too soon, she swayed and fell.
The sky hid her without farewell,
Beyond all earthly possessions.
A quiet meditation on the fragile blend of beauty and pain, presence and loss—where love lingers beyond the grasp of time.

It was winter when I descended into the river,
Descended to beseech her to teach me about her flow—
On a dark night where beasts and fiends shake and quiver,
Where the only light was her silky, glistening glow.

Upon her arms I knelt humbly as I
Shivered.
Before her majesty, I was struck with frightening awe.
I cried and cried, and with hazy eyes I prayed to be delivered,
And then I heard her speak—
What frightening things she spoke.
The river does not whisper answers.
It drowns you in them.

Beneath the tree’s cool, leafy shade,
The cold wind wraps me in her grace.
She soothes my grief, she makes me whole,
Mother Earth's love reaching deep to my soul.

We are connected not by fate or chain,
But by the fire that runs through joy and pain.

When I dissolve, thy breath shall still remain,
Calling my name in air, in mist, in rain—

And from that breath, the world shall rise anew:
A flame from ashes, and the skies from dew.
