He appeared, and lightened the day.
He came in and led the way.
He taught me something new,
And I followed him through.
The next step, I wasn’t aware of,
Dreams and hopes of a better love,
But in an instant it was destroyed,
In an instant everything was void,
Now I thank all past encounters,
For what it did, for how it healed
And I bury all these feelings,
Among this field of darkened flowers,
