The sky expands and light follows through
down to the tumbling ocean blue.
A cross at the point guides fishermen there
and its bark in the sand reveals God's grace like a chair.

So have a seat and smile awhile
don't be afraid, don't cry child.
God is here though the sand stings your sight
and the clouds close black like the night.

So close your eyes and put yourself to bed
don't be restless and rest your head.
The sky will expand and
his light will follow through
down to the tumbling ocean blue.
October 2008....I imagine reading this as a lullaby some day.

your voice makes me want to touch the stars
and burn the ground down.
i know people can't do that but somehow i will,
and it will be your fault.
it's your fault that the world burns
and that beautiful castles crumble
because this is not a fairytale darling
and we're not even in wonderland,
but oh how I wish we were.

my bones start to crack
when you start to sing
your wicked lullaby and
i don't understand how
you can have a voice so enchanting
that even my mother falls
in love with it
(her ears haven't heard a sound
for three years because
the sound of her own
voice drives her mad).

and sometimes you wear a
crown of gold and sometimes
you wear a crown of
heartbreak.
it's funny how no one can tell
the difference,
not even me.

I often wonder what it's like,
to live in a world, enclosed by delight.

It's beginnings and ends
are one in the same.

What one may call the end,
is another's noblest Game.

"Carry on, carry on",
say the specs in the globe.

Fall fast, fall hard,
until the end is known.

Your voice* is my addiction
my drug, my ******
the only person i want to listen
that sound is my current obsession

your voice is my lullaby
the melody i hear every night
the sweetest voice
that tucks me in
you're the one to help me
get to sleep

your voice sounds like home
to accompany me when
i'm alone
and every time we're talking
on the phone
somehow it feels like
you're sitting close

Even though we're so far away
hearing your voice could
light up my day
cause right now i miss you dearly
and i can't wait to hear your voice, baby.
It's not that good, but i've tried. Specially made for someone i love :)
The cobbled stone street unraveled like bubble wrap
waiting to protect her delicate heals as they tip-tapped
and echoed back
the lateness of the hour.
Hard shadows softened and relaxed
when her silhouette
blackened out the neon's stuttering
prolonging the blinking candy colours
into moments of borrowed night.
Her movements were that of a swallow on wing
liquid and seamless.
She was a lullaby traversing beneath centuries old granite walls
Stepping blindly, but never missing a step.
Even the gutter rats wondered who she was as they scurried to avoid startling her.
She disappeared with the diminishing tip-tap. The sound tapered to a fine point then......................no more.

When the moon sings its lullaby
In the mystic universe
It is a recreation for the ears.
What I see is not what you see
But I love you still so deep.
I know you don't hear the moon
I know thay you don't see its mystery
But I do not care
I would still love you
Even if the moon was not there.

Late at night, when you were sleeping,
I stood beside you, until the light of day,
While you snuggled,
Beneath a cuddly pink blanket,
And I found it hard to stay away.

When you rested in your cradle, with your eyes gently closed,
Tenderly nibbling upon your tiny fingers,
And innocently smiling in your sleep,
Listening to a soft lullaby,
And in my heart, it shall forever linger.

When the stars twinkled in the sky,
As I looked out the window to see,
And the moon illuminated with a smile,
On that charming and unforgettable night,
When you laid close to me.

She dipped her fingers in stardust and wrote his name across the night sky, so that each time she felt the opalescent halo burning a hole in her heart that no words could fill, she could find home in him, and drift off into a restless sleep from the silent lullaby of the sky singing his name.
the sun sets
the moon will rise
the dark creeps up
silence

everyone sleeps
they dream
of better places
and
smiling faces

Hush baby
and don't you cry
I won't leave you
till I die

the sun starts to rise
the moon slips away
light moves in
laughter
