A song of fairies, soft and bright,
That fills the air with pure delight.
No shadow dares to ask for more,
Love’s magic shines, forevermore.

In every beat, in every breath,
Love dances boldly, defying death.
A bond so deep, a force so true,
Love’s light forever guides us through.

The space between us is not just miles—
it’s the ache in my ribs when I breathe,
the way my hands forget their purpose
without the weight of your hips to hold.

I am a house with no windows,
a room where the light refuses to stay.

The world feels like a poorly written script—
everyone else is laughing, but I can’t find the joke.

I want to kiss you so badly it feels like a crime,
like the universe has locked your lips in a glass case
and hung a sign that says Do Not Touch.

But I would break every rule,
shatter every law of physics,
just to feel the warmth of your mouth on mine.

I miss the way your voice wraps around my name,
how it sounds like a prayer I didn’t know I needed.

I miss the way your laughter spills into the room,
a symphony I’d trade my silence for in a heartbeat.

I want to marry you—
not in the way they show in movies,
with the white dress and the perfect vows,
but in the way that feels like coming home,
like finding the missing piece of a puzzle
I didn’t even know I was solving.

Without you, the world is a grayscale film,
a song played on a broken piano.

I am a shadow of myself,
a half-finished poem
waiting for your hands to write the ending.

Come back to me.

Or let me come to you.

Let me close this distance,
this unbearable, infinite space
that feels like it’s swallowing me whole.

I am not whole without you.

I am not anything.
The love of my life.

The poor have the good news proclaimed for them. We rejoice for the good news is upon us. The word of God is with us and in us and among us. God, help us recognize your presence, to slow down and stop being BUSY (Buried Under Satan's Yoke). Hurry is incompatible with love, and it is the great enemy of the spiritual life. Too busy to do the right thing and too busy to do what we need and ought to do. Love is time consuming!

Jesus is about slow and taking time. Why else would he offer us ETERNITY?

Do not seek love as you seek gold,
For in the heart, it’s always bold.
It is the stillness, the quiet sound,
Where truth and beauty can be found.

Under my umbrella
rain hitting all around
getting wet anyway
so I take it down.

I really don't mind
it's been a hot day,
and the rain seems to
wash all my blues away.

Rain covers my face like tears,
but they are of joy
not of pains or fears.

Into every life they say
some rain must fall.
But I'll not complain,
the sun always shines
brighter after the rain.

And as I said,
it's been a very hot day.

And this cool refreshing rain
was sorely needed anyway.
So moments ago my screen saver updated to a pic of a dozen or so brightly colored umbrella opened up on a bright blue sky back drop.
And this poem popped into my mind.
I quickly jotted it down, before it could disappear from my mind and this is the finished result of 5 minutes of intense poetic thought LOL!!!
I hope you like it, I certainly enjoy it when they come like this.
Thanks for reading

By the rose’s touch, may love arise,
A glowing light beneath soft skies.
In every heart, may it remain,
A timeless flame that knows no pain.

and though we breathed the same breaths
under different skies
and in different tongues
though the whispering birth
of one
was the death of another
both righteously tainted
both cut open
bleeding into me
and her
and us
and them
and god i wish there was no them
i know
i know i know i know
the room was ink
and cheap leather
and there’s no room for god
in collars or letters
but have your bones been mended?
and
has the bleeding stopped?
because their hands
are still red
their wounds like honey
sticky
infinite
crystallized
so, my love
it’s time you learn to sew!
stitch up your broken!
sever the wicked!
make your mosaic!
and i’ll tattoo it on my sleeve
i’ll bottle it up
and swallow it
and when it sinks into the ocean of my body
i’ll think of them
and hope
that some day
under some sky
they can taste it too
an old one

Come with gladness and thanksgiving
Bring the joy of a life worth living
Warm the heart with love's great fire
The Spirit's breath to stoke and inspire
Come now with glad tidings to share
Let the song of your life fill the air
Take in the wonder that's all around you
In your very bones believe it is true
