I am sick of your degrading
Constant constricting critique
You take criticism way too far
Tired of the negative words you speak

So stand there in your self-righteous glow
Throw ugly insults in a slur
The burning words you know I despise
That I am a little too much like her..
This was written a long time ago, it is written to my brother, and her is my mom.

Remember the flame,
How much it hurts,
It all seems the same,
But I’m not really sure.

Remember the pain,
How it can sting,
Recall the shame,
All of the things,

Breaking you down,
Taking your core,
Can’t make a sound,
As loud as the floor.

Remember the laughing,
Take home the insults,
This can’t be happening,
Unable to repulse.

Bring all your tears,
Lay them aside,
You know the fears,
But not all the lies.

Show all your scars,
Give them to me,
I’ll make them ours,
I’ll set you free.

I’ll heal your rashes,
Wear them instead,
I’ll hold your ashes,
Only if you lend.
Hold the good times when the bad are handed to you... S.B. <3

Why the mockery ?
The insults ?

am i not enough ?

Why the shaming ?
The teasing ?

am i too different?

Why the abuse ?
The harassment ?

Why me ???
Scold me now !!
And be done with me...
Please...i beg of you...

Thigh gaps,
Wide or narrow space,
Funny how,
The gap between your legs,
justifies whether you're
perfectly shaped or unfit

just by the distance
of your thighs.

I truly wonder how
the objectification
of women started
with a simple spread of
her beautifully shaped legs

from calling her a ****,
to calling her fat.
you seem to have
many names from
just staring at the
legs her mother gave.

if I really have to say,
who are you to
judge that anyway?
I wonder who gave people the rights to judge one another based on how they look, or how they act.

"God you look horrid
Do something about your weight"

I find it kind of funny
How you can hurl the exact same insult

Before and after I shed 100 pounds
as now
   we end

a cold anger
has almost
   killed my kindness

   turned me
   into granite

lethal insults
hurled with fury
   shatter on my skin
   leave me
   untouched

I have become
quite invulnerable
to human outrage

maybe this is
what I resent
most

It was the way you looked over at me.
The first time we met.
The way I was so willing to forget.
The way you found my number.
The way I didn't care you did.
The way you kept texting, calling even.
The way I didn't care.

I found ignoring mean.
I had to be good.
I had to be better.
So I gave this a shot.
The good in me screaming...

When you offered to help.
I didn't refuse.
I let you do your thing.
I believed you knew your thing.
When it ******* over.
You unveiled yourself.

Lets start over.
How do you think someone is beautiful.
How do you come from beautiful to badly behaved.
May be real words are spoken when mad.

I have took bruises
All of my life,
I brace for impact
Upon my skin.

I take remarks like
A pinch of salt,
Using them as
seasoning on my soul

Yet for some reason
Your words are toxins
To my forever flowing
Unsoiled blood.
