when i get to heaven
           i'm living with the pigs

my home in the sty
while my soul is in the sky

i'd rather squeal in the pen
            than sit with the bigwigs

and though my neighbors snort and cry
i'm fine to writhe and eventually fry
Hello Daisies Sep 2024
From untouchable
To wonderstruck
From Xena and Gabrielle
To Damon and Elena
To looking at the stars
And breathing in the moon
From that's the way I loved you
To a thousand years

With laughter
And heart
Running away
To a jump start
Faith and hope
Everyone telling us
You are
The poems I always
Wrote

You are the love
I sought for
The wonderstruck
And enchanted
Dancing in the snow
Or breathing in October
You and me
Once drunk
Now sober

We are everything
My heart dreamed
Lying in a cold car
Singing wonderstruck songs
Playing along in my dreams
Never to be
Never to be
Yet here we are
More than I dreamed

More then I could know
Unselfish love
Innocent like a dove
Laughing and hugs
Simplicity and the whole **** sky above
We had red
We had blue
I have you
You have me
To pink
And gold
To all I ever want to know
To your heart
And my soul

To my best friend
My lover
Heaven always knew
It was destiny
It was meant to be
To Cinderella
And holding you
I'll keep your hoodie
You'll keep my
Sparkling shoe👠
I've been thinking about love and my childhood ideas and hopes on it a lot
I woke this morning feeling lost and afraid
Dreamy eyes, clouds, storms, and shade
I rose from my slumber and wondered
Is today going to be the day I pondered

Scary dreams fill my mind and tear at my heart
Is it now that my changed life is to start
I look at my phone and wonder, should I call
Then think to myself, not one single ring at all

I'm sleepy and worn from last night's dream storms
I pull my feet up from the floor, curl into a ball, and return to the land of Nods
Exhausted from the constant dread and fear
Only dreaming of always having you near

I know someday you will go to Our forever home
Live freely and painlessly, with family and friends you will roam
You'll walk the heavenly streets of God's Kingdom
I know, in my heart, it's from there you'll keep watch and send your love

In my slumber, I can see how happy you will be
I smile and know that someday that will be me
I cry in my dreamworld because I know I won't have you to hold and hear
But in my heart and soul, I know you will always be near.

Again I wake from the land of dreams
To the sound of my phone and know I will hear
Your beautiful voice that I've longed for all day
I listen and chatter just to hear what you have to say

I hang up the phone, look at my watch and think to myself
A little bit more time, back to dreamland, time's shelf
Just another day
One Day Lost.....
This poem is about my Mother. She is slowly in the process of dying and I feel like this everyday.  I will miss her so much.

Music in the night:

a prayer that lifts me up --

high into heaven.
Air "Tacea la notte placida" ("Silent is the night, peaceful"), 1853, opera "Il trovatore" ("The troubadour", Salvatore Cammarano / Giuseppe Verdi) - Leonora, act 1

As I plummeted, I cast my gaze skyward.

With a faint smile, I reached out, yearning for a tender hand to halt my descent.

But alas, none came.

The heavens, once radiant, lost their splendor.

I turned my eyes to the abyss below.

Its darkness gripped my soul with terror, yet still, I longed for a thorned hand to seize mine.

But alas, none came.

With all the strength left in me, I cried out.

And then, in the depths of despair, I grasped my own hand.

In that moment, my eyes opened, and I smiled.

Zip tie lock your legs- anchor down your stress;
change the fabric address of that nice sunny dress
Body full of blows, skin made of dust; counting on hope,
joy, and sorrow, every after hour of the day’s settled dusk
From telling thin lies from the thick of red lips on a reed,
to all those gears of ideas start to shift away- taking steps
in reverse, when everything is exposed of your old deeds

Tears in the river of tiny ripples to the sound of love;
to be honest it’s an unfamiliar sound- 3,500 mites;
become a float of those ticking ideas. Scrums around the
clock, sharing bread crumbs with old chums— those few
who actually stuck around

As time starts to show, on the flakes of skin, the loss of
strong hairs; you feel much older to a recent picture-
the unfamiliar creature, invisible to so many people
But with a smile, you appreciate all the places you have
been. You must be ready to meet your King…
Heaven send me a angel
Heaven send me a angel
I will hold you in my heart forever
Heaven send me a angel
I will remember you
Heaven send me a angel
I stop and think of you
Heaven send me angel
To guide me
Heaven send me a angel
So I can understand
Heaven send me a angel
I miss you
Heaven send me a angel
I love you
Heaven send me a angel
I have way to many to pick from
Heaven send me a angel
So I can breathe again
Heaven send me a angel
So I can see you again
Heave will you please send me a angel

Circling Earth circling Sun
Circling Moon circling Earth
Days cycling within Months
Months cycling within Years
Wheel within wheel within wheel
Sphere within sphere within sphere

And a day is a day in every sphere
Their shadows of which on Earth
As Days, Months, and, Years
Life's inescapable rhythm ingrained
In Man, Beasts, Bugs, and Herbs
But only in Man do we count

In joy and sorrow we feel it passed
Fearful and hopeful all in ignorance
For Time's beyond Man's wisdom
Though they speak, a threefold echo
Each revealing, each foreshadowing
For on Earth as it is in Heaven

Yet Wonderful as it is, it shall pass
We know, for all Earth's given a Sign
A count, an unnatural cycle of Sevens
Of Seven Days, Months, and Years
The Seventh of Each, is a Rest
An Eternal Rest, An Everlasting Peace

Pondering What is Time, the Master of Time
Pointed to the Sabbath, and Ezekiel's Wheels
shattered
torn asunder
in the maelstrom
the churning
of colliding seas
how we
were tsunamis
cast from foreign worlds
towering o'er star-crossed shores
devouring civilizations
those were my dreams

and there
with light eclipsing the sun
were angels
whilst God commanded
who should be saved
and who would meet
their end
by the maws
of the surging grave
the tides if death
the vengeance we partook o'er evil
to sap the fires
of the cannibals' cauldrons
of the wicked witches' works
of the devil's deed scouring the lands of innocence
tilling world for harvests of souls
God warred with fury
with wrath untold
with heaven's war cries raging, bold
I saw the towers
fall as dominoes
shrieks of villainy
soups of human flesh spilled,
feasts ruined in droves
and I ne'er wept so poorly
ne'er kissed the ground so humbly
watching the world overturned in its savagery
by change so indomitable
by goodness so gracious

but I had
as all children do
given up my dreams
of being heroic
of being a champion
for justice
was God's alone

I gave up my visions
of power unassailable
of justice that trounces reprisal
of vengeance beyond sin,
I gave it all up to God
to a victor
who is more
than a conqueror
to a being
who is love incarnate
whose surrender
is destruction loosed upon the wicked
whose mercy
touches only those who art cleansed
of their murderous hearts
and their chaotic whims

I gave up my power
to the redeemer of all who art redeemed
and to the devils I say,
woe betide those who consort
with the fallen one
whose days shall no longer be numbered
when the gates of damnation
close in upon him
and open again
no longer...
My dreams of salvation from the hell we are making of our worlds and our lives...
