This thing we call the universe reaches out
Beyond the beyond.
The sweeping sky seduces our senses
With shimmering stars.
A mere glimpse
At endless heavens.
Swirling galaxy clusters,
Travelling beyond the speed of light.

Like grains of sand on a surf-kissed beach,
These star-packed galaxies fly forth.
Meanwhile, at sub-atomic level,
Exotic particles wink in and out of existence.

Most stars are red dwarves.
Many harbouring exoplanets
In their Goldilocks Zones.
One-eyed worlds with the same side
Always facing the sun.

On such a world there’s no such thing
As a day.
It’s always the same time
If you stay the same place.
Hot day one side,
Frozen night on the other.
A bright side with black plants
Under a rose tinged white sky.

But there are plenty of golden stars
Just like our sun.
Stars surrounded by rocky earths like ours.

Is our Earth unique?
Does it take a planetary collision
To form an Earth and Moon
Supporting life?
Time may tell.
And if we’re lucky,
We might just live to see it.

Did God create this Universe of ours
Or is it all by chance?
Who knows?
Who cares?
Just enjoy.

I do love space. (Another stanza added 15 minutes after the Big Bang, I mean posting).

my soul has ached for something warm,
something that would fill the void inside me,
but you never filled that void.
because you did more than that,
you created galaxies in me,
you filled me with stars,
a whole new universe,
where it's just you and me.

A lawless comet,
Galaxies curiously watch,
Cosmic boom alarms!

do you remember how we decided
to write our fate on the constellations,
how each end met each end with
no spaces between them

i was mistaken to think
that these bonds would last for eternities
because now, i’m met by the truth
and it’s telling me that
the images of our constellations have faded

my stars make up another image from yours,
they no longer flow together like
a seamless blanket over the sky

it is as if you’re attempting to
defy the laws of physics by
trying not to gravitate toward me

but no matter how far you get,
no matter how weak my pull may seem

i still feel the laws of attraction working
because you’re still pulling me to you
and i don’t know what to do

i’ve tried not to notice you anymore
but how could i when no star
could outshine you,
no comet could shoot as fast
as you made my heart beat,
when none of the phases of the moon
could compare to your face?

it’s incredulous to think that in a universe
as large and vast and encompassing as ours,
where there are several earth-like planets
and identical galaxies and similar asteroids
and possibly tens of billions of life forms,
that there could only be one you

it’s unfair how you could be
so special to me whilst
i seem to be replaceable to you

nevertheless

one day, i hope you find
some new stars for you to bind with

and i know that no matter how much
shooting stars i wish upon,
i’d never be a part of your galaxy again
haven't written in so long so this is absolute **** but i'm trying to write again (also yet another poem abt stars and galaxies. when do i learn how to stop)

We're from two different worlds,
You and I.
I desire to reach out,
To touch you -
But my hand is swallowed
In the galaxies between us.
Your eyes are cobalt planets -
Deep emerald waves
Crashing upon their shores.
The smoke curling from your lips
Is dark, dreary:
The forsaken Milky Way.
I watch you,
And I know -
I will never close that space.
There is too much in the way,
Too much noise,
Too many opinions,
Too many disapproving, shaking heads,
And furrowed brows.
Our asymmetries are miles deep,
Coursing through
Your bloodstream,
Coursing through mine.

sometimes when i get bored,
i revert to my childlike nature
and press my fists to my eyes
until i begin to see mini galaxies.

but sometimes, i look at you,
and i see the biggest galaxies
that stretch beyond everywhere
i've been, and everywhere i will be;
suddenly, you are everything to me.

i need someone to pinch me
so i can be sure this is real,
so i don't have to be afraid of
waking up (the way i'm afraid of living/
breathing/existing/losing/grief)
.

i could talk to you for
hours on end and not get bored,
not revert backwards.
because i don't need to close my eyes
and press my fists to them
in order to see those stars and
planets and everything else anymore.

not when i have you.
i think i'm falling, i'm falling for you.

Have you seen the fishes of the deep blue sea,
Have you swam through the stars and galaxies,
Ive been keeping track but baby dont ask me,
Ive been slipping in between realities,

Staring right into the sun for way too long,
Grasp at all the little thoughts before their gone,
Steal a smile from the moon and then move on,
The seasons still seem to change so how could i go wrong,

What if i start to laugh before you talk,
Have you even had a chance to read my thoughts,
Its hard to stay even when youre odd,
Ima go ahead and loose myself before im lost,
its magical,
how black stains,
transform in small galaxies
in our body,
and make everything stop to seem
like an bruise,
in our soul.
how can a black stain,
be so beautiful?

I am the result
Of a love affair
Between darkness and
The galaxies
Above; stars
Gleaming in the
Most unlikely of
Places.

My heart and my
Mind collide
Like asteroids
Hitting the
Surface of
Earth, with
A million black
Holes reaching
To pull me
Back in.

I am a love
Child of the
Sky, with
The sun leaving
At dusk and
The moon
Always standing
By my
Side.
