It's the calling of the evening
And the sky looks like it's bleeding
I set on the porch in the cooling of the air
And the worries of the day, I no longer care
Listening to the birds last songs of the day
Before they take wing and fly away
Darkness slowly creeping up
As I wrap my hands around my warm cup
The sky changes to a deepened blue
Such a beautiful hue
I simply love this time of day and the changes the sky goes through
The fireflies look like stars on earth
And the children know of their worth
The chase them all around the yard
Hoping to catch a few off guard
I watch them play shadow tag, and I start to reminisce
Of my childhood memories and all the things I miss
Of all the fun me and my sister had
But then my thoughts grow sad
About all of my family that has passed away
Like my mom and dad and my mood starts to decay
And mosquitoes start to buzz my head
Guess it's time to go to bed
And dream about my dear loved ones
Until the mourning sun

Nurture those lovely creatures love breeds..

Two moving liquid eyes,
kept admiring you both
contented, happiness-drunk
-a delicate filigree dragonfly,
when you both were lost,
in the warmth of love, new found,
melting and flowing, together
in the entwined  patterns of hearts.

Like a  rainbow hued butterfly,a guest
that suddenly appears announcing,
days of warmth, mirth and laughter,
something was flitting like a flash,
around you fluttering it's silver wings,
making you go crazy with desire,
already enamored with each other
beyond even your comprehension!

In the pitch black screen of night sky
fireflies dancing in formations never seen,
reflected in your wondering eyes,
drawing  sketches, that look like like  electric maps
love create, with accelerated heart beats.

Do you realize what alchemy of hearts makes it
possible for love to transform in such a manner?

Love in it's moments ethereal, clearly reflect,
the true mind of nature, do you care to take note?
Don't ever **** those delicate creatures, that appear,
love in it's deepest yearnings, breeds and keeps.
The season of love, by some magic, brings to focus, many things lovely
in nature never one did pay attention to...
..these are only few of them..and in many cases, they vanish for ever..
It might be the brilliant yellow of turmeric
boiled into salted potatoes,
washed down with the brown
of peppermint tea.

Or the intoxicating fragrance, when
we are hungry enough, of simple
spices. Cinnamon and cloves,
in another dish of oatmeal.

Outside the house, across the street,
the neighbors' children scream happily
into the warm night, where
the first fireflies begin to appear.

I remember the mornings,
Where I'd wake early.

I remember the days,
Hot with the sun's rays.

I remember the evenings,
Catching fireflies in mason jars.

I remember the nights,
Crisp and clear. Stars shining beautifully.

Oh how I wish I can remember when I was happy.
When will I be able to go back to the simpler days?

Spring is here
The world begins again
A new season of adventures
Without buzzing night lights

She opened her eyes
Dimmed lights shivered
A gentle touch awakes her
A touch of love
He was right there
In front of her

I found you
That light I love
You found me
Ever so near

They took flight
Side by side
In love, no less
Only beautiful bright lives living
A destiny broken
Because of their will
To find that love
They held so dear

They do not know
What is to come
But now it's clear
This chance, here and now

There is always hope
In the fights of our lives
Once we've conquered
We will break what they call
'Our destiny'
Then that will make us

....springtime fireflies.
It was said that fireflies die after summer ends due to weather conditions. But it was also said that, if a firefly survives till spring, it would be because they had the will to live for something special.
Your destiny is in your own hands.

Created upon nature
Glowing hearts unnoticed
A light to be
Dreams formed through growth
And break through this shell
A firefly was born

Fluttering wings amidst survival
Fighting days
Waiting for the sun to set
For darkness to fall upon them
In hope for a chance to shine
To show their light

I want to fly
But I know at the end of this season
Once summer ends
I am destined to die

Day by day
Night by night
Awaiting hope
That always seems to go by
Till he appeared
And she saw his light
Tried to find him again
But he was out of sight
However she was determined
She would continue to fly
To light up other people's lives

I will find you
Maybe at least I could say goodbye

The sun goes down
Summer is near
Glowing lights dimmed
As the wind of spring starts to blow
They close their eyes
For the last time
Her only regret
Was not being able to bid farewell
To that light she fell in love with
Every day, every night

I want to see you
Just one more time
Let me live another day
Just one more night

She slowly shut her eyes
And drifted away into slumber
Whispering a little wish

*Goodnight
Is this really the end?

Fireflies
Light up the night
Spread thy wings and fly high
Away from the fire that destroys
Your wings
Just trying new styles. Hope I gave justice to cinquains.

Darkness swirls in blackened night
That might have left me without light
Yet with me are fireflies
That gift sight for my eyes

Like a waltz they sway my lovely vision enhancers
Not to mention they are amazing dancers

It's time I dance among the stars
To let the firflylies out of their jars

It's time I bask in the moon lights glow
To sail that boat through the cosmic flow

It's time to let go of the heartache and sorrow
To hold tight to every tomorrow

It's time to roll with every new stumble
To not let the past make me tumble

It's time to quit holding my breath
To stop following the dance of death

It's time turn in my tickets to that show
To just let all the bad thoughts go

Yes, it's time to dance around the stars
Yes, you'll find me skinny dipping in the oceans on Mars

as if drawn with a white crayon,
the stars speckle the navy blue sky.
the ample moon shines on,
seeping light onto the dozing world,
interrupting the disordered order in which
the pale dots exist.
three nimble fireflies
dance around the long blades of grass,
their yellow frequencies
giving the illusion of neon lights,
on the vegas strip.
your slender face,
looks up at the peaceful bugs,
this is idyllic.
these are our halcyon days.
