Poetry is like fresh water
Quenching the thirsty soul
Once placid lake, the heart
Every word creates a ripple
Moving me to the core
My feelings and emotions
Travel with the soft wavelets
Arousing my fascination
Sweet as nectar
The creativity pond
Plunging in poetry everyday
To taste the fresh sweetness
Of poetic water
Being on this island
Surrounded by the words
Where I can take a swim
In any weather
An eternal source of joy
Where I can drown
To rejuvenate myself

Withered, scattered, spread
Her arms reached out to those that were dead
She tried to liven them up again
By composing poems, stories and letters of them
For all she'd breathe all this while
The only thing that kept her going and alive,

Words.

I'm afraid I cannot explain myself well
From the hole in my face
From which the words fell
So I write them all down
Every smile to every frown
For when I try to speak
I barely make a sound.

There's something poetic in
Unspoken words,
And thoughts that are never to be heard.
For the mind knows not our mouths,
But the never ending cycle of deliberation against the hierarchy of a force unknown.

Distilling the thoughts
Brings out the raw feelings
Most potent words
Brings out the sublime expressions
Feelings and words in synergy
Once behind the shadows
Get to see the light
The blank paper absorbs the ink
Echo of the heart
Creates an indelible impact
Dance of words
Worth a watch

Oh, the price to pay to be slightly different!
To slightly walk towards a different direction from the crowd
How weary it is to go slightly against conformity!
How dreary it is to go along with conformity!
The conformance that often confines one's own creativity
The solitude that goes along in breaking free
Stemming from general envy
Of a life run free

The trees
                       Their leaves
                                                   A brilliant green

The flowers
                       Their petals
                                                   Such majesty

The wind
                        Its grace
                                                   With powerful haste

The sky
                        Its wonders
                                                   An intense unknown

All the world has
And can behold
All the earth contains
And can know

                                                                                                     I present to you
                                                                                         With a glee so obvious
                                                                                                      With such love
                                                                                       I adore your everything

Each word you say
Every breath you breathe
Give life to these things
For they are our connection

                                                                                 Like gifts of the springtime
                                                                              I'll hand you a summer's day
                                                                                       Simply to call you mine
And to claim your heart today

Lost in dreams
You see them think
With strands of hair
That seldom link
Eyebrows with
A puckered kink
Eyes that cry
Will also wink
Pointy noses
For fragrant stink
In dismay will they
Often crink
Cheeks that glow
With hues of pink
Have dimples in
Their beauty sink
Lips that frown
And lips that drink
A tooth that aches
And teeth that clink
Even jaws and chins
All move in sync
Formed expressions
All lost in blink
Faces like faces
Can’t be inked
Crinkle is a wrinkle or crease on the surface of something. (esp a face.) Crink is the verb form of the word crinkle. (I created it. Sue me.)

The soul reapers take until there's nothing left,
walking by like hollow vessels.
All expressions far too faded,
endlessly wandering with no meaning.
Long gone are feelings of remorse and sympathy,
now only gestures with no sincerety.
Corpses lie empty on the ground,
so grey, soon abandoned by all color in the skin.
Reapers walking by devoid of empathy,
reavealing their indifference and disdain.
Their minds are breeding lies,
creating the venom their tongues are spitting.
