Where is the twinkle
the one who shots across
             my vision,
my star....

I look and see a starless void.

You were meant to guide me,
but you are vacant like the sky.

She cried every single night
Hoping she'd see him for one last time
It was her favorite sight
Seeing him by her side

Tears falling down
Knowing she'd left him with no reasons why
Nothing more than explanation
Is all what she ask for.

She cried and cried
Until she realize
His no longer in this world
So a childs tears continues to fall down.

'Farewell dad' she said
But the pain He left her will never be gone
For she has lost,
A man she called Dad.

My bones are tired, Daddy
I don't get enough sleep
I don't eat as good as I should,daddy.
Is that why you're so ashamed of me?

You know sometimes I sleep past noon, Daddy
I drink lots of black coffee and I smoke like a chimney,
Yes, I left the refrigerator door half open, Daddy
What implications will that have on  me?

You know sometimes I want to rip out your throat, Daddy
For all those things you said that were mean,
Because I didn't fit in with your "proper family" image,
I'm gonna make you just as vulnerable as I was, Daddy
Why can't you just love me for me?

You know sometimes I want to bash in your teeth, Daddy
I'm gonna make you realise that you made me this way.

I'm gonna rip your heart out the way you did mine, Daddy
Go ahead and punish me for  that
I'm your creation, I'm your "love"Daddy.

Grown up to be and do all those sick things you said that I would do
Well last night I saw you sneak out your window
With your jeans unzipped, daddy
Are you as perfect as you seem?

Im neglected and broken, daddy,
Because of the way you raised me to be,
I'm going to **** you just the way that you **** me, daddy.
Will you then be proud of me?

My bones are tired, daddy.
This is a very personal poem, it describes the relationship between my father and myself, and how I was raised in a family who didn't accept me.

I pretended
your mouth
didn't water
for them

You see...

I would
imagine riding
bikes along
shores with
my sunny
closed eyes
and la la la -

but

I could
hear them
***** you
out behind
don't signs
at the end
of the bed

Being quiet
was always
louder than
ice dropped
in warm tequila

POP!

Sheets were
never tucked
quite tight
enough

Dad,

are you still flooded with pride
when you hear or speak my name?
there's certain feelings i tend to hide,
and i know you feel the same.

lying was never in my blood,
how'd this hate get in my heart?
i came here in search of love,
and now i'm not sure where to start.

i love you all so greatly,
please tell mom i miss her too,
but the reason i'm writing lately
is that i feel i've failed you.

- your pride & joy

You're right,
your age is a good knock,
made with umpteen strokes
of splendour
and aplomb release;
i'm glad you came to the crease.

dad always defined hard work as
fighting through the pain,
and never begin to complain,

and mom has always
sworn on angels,

but through the vast
amounts of lessons
i've been taught,

what sticks out most is how
we all demand different results
within similar situations;

we don't all pray,
we don't all fight,
but at the end of each day,
we're all searching for
that same glimpse of light.

Don't look into his eyes, look down
He's bigger than you and he wears a frown
You can't rely on your fists
Fighting is not your gift
you are not action man or a superhero
Violence won't win the day
your too proud to cry
and tears hide behind your eyes
stiff upper lip has you caught behind it.

You have no rights as a father
You hope to God she won't take your children away
Being a Saturday Dad is not ok
Your insecurity is she find someone better than you
Is love enough will it do?
