They like to hold us on a leash
and chain our eagle wings.
They tell us we're stuck
and that we're never getting out.
They hate our rebellious spirits
and spit on our self-ruling dreams.
But darling, we're the wild ones,
and one day, we will be free.
one day the invisible bonds that tie me to this town will be broken and the world will be mine to see.

You
In your arms I'm safe,
Your eyes make me beautiful,
Your chains set me free.
Stan Feb 2015
These chains all over my throat
my arms
and legs
I always thought I want them off
Now I know it's these chains I actually want
Because they make me who I am
I shall forever be in chains and I don't mind that *at all

what if my cage
is out of sight;
rather
inside my mind?

these shackles
cling to my wrists
can you see them?

you envy my freedom--
one you perceive me
possessing;

one I never
truly
ever had.

Cramping legds their crying
Like the babes, lying
In their mothers' arms
What are the charms

Which parents ensnare
Like poisonous air
Be witched to reproduce
Nature's silent truce

Though you die you can live
Vicariously and give
What makes you, you
To another imbue

The train halts brakes squealing
Interlocking carriages feeling
Each other and the air
Signal lights stare

And the track opens up before us

Lock yourself up.
Lock yourself up tight.
And don’t give yourself a fright.

Hold your heart in your hands,
Hold it tight and rap it in bows, and bands.

Stay secret lock yourself away,
Away from the world you’ll stay, from all its painful rays.

It’s not that I’m anti-social; I’m just preventing myself from getting hurt, by the things outside that hurt the most.

I am bound to you as you are bound to me.
Have we become what should never be?
Trapped in your heart as your are trapped in mine,
it goes on and on - the passage of time.

Close the door behind you and count to ten.
Think of me and open it again.
I am chained to you as you are chained to me.
Is this the way how everything should be?

Attentive drums beat
Sweet lullabies heard
Deep feelings stirred
I listen

Grateful of your words
Tho drunkenly slurred
I swallow the attention
And listen

Lil déjà vu true
Still a belief in you
Trading a piece of me
I listen

Something's different tho
Chances u ask for no more
Giving me shoes to run
I listen
*will you fight or run*

What tempest rules the earth
around her girth clasps her axe
Thunderous lightening in twisted gales
forlorns amazon anger with her gods
Her voice screams for victory sought
in rumblings of the earth below
Touch not her heart of many stones
unless you dare to feel her wrath
upon your bones and wrench you
and ****** into the further pit of hell,
where dismal screams are heard
from bitter depths below
And snake like chains grind the cold
stonehenge ground pulled by bleeding ankles to the bone
Seek not merciful guidence from her wrath
or shelter from her axe or kindness from cold
black eyes but quiver from her icy demon touch
Succubus her nature be, she draws the air from you and me and yet a tempest all in one
Be hastened away by her tempest shrill
and collar you for good
Be alert not to roam too far
from your neighborhood

They still exist;
Both literally and metaphorically.
Little girls *** trafficked,
Boys slave in sweat shops,
Buissnessman works a 60 hour week.
Everyone's got their own chains.
Some we put on freely,
Some are ****** upon us,
like maturity on an orphaned child
--Some are cut into our wrists.
With every lie,
With every curse,
With every slander,
Pain built up creates inside
these fine little links;
Alone they are weak, but together
UNBREAKABLE
27 million slaves in the world
But that's just an estimate.
When we look inwards
We see so. many. more.
In the history of humanity, slavery has never been as big as it is now. Up to 27 million are inslaved today. But to help these many men, woman, and children, we must free ourselves from our masters. What is the master of your life?
