Message

What is the point of getting older?
Do you just shoulder pain, love,
words that haven’t been written yet?
Or do you get an ounce of regret
that brings you down?
You forget what you’ve done and think about what brought you to the brink.

Is this your brink? Or did you blink
To see a tiny glimpse of darkness?
Each year it’s growing bigger and bigger and words aren’t always coming out.
Neither is love.
But pain — it is always the same.
It feels like concrete if not worse,
Your fighting it, but in reverse.

Which means you’re fighting your own mind.

What stays behind apart from years?
Sundowns, sunsets, regrets or tears?
And fears. They hunt you down.
So what’s the point?
Is there one?
BIRTHDAY-POEM 6-4-2
( Meaning the end-rhymes consist of 6-4-2 rhyming words )

The most precious thing
will never blinq
for this occasion
my happiest congratulations
from my heart to yours
in romantic symphonical moors

the depth not to measure
just for pagan pleasure
for divine delights
we'll have long blessed nights

amongst paganish duvet
holied by God’s own brevet

Time moves so fast,
Im 24 at last,
Jesus our only saviour, has added a fresh new chapter within my life out of grace!

Im so lucky,
And feel bubbly,
How blessed I am to spend another birthday with my family no one can replace!

laughing til we cried
four hour high
climbing through windows
for a skyline view
summer was dying
magic was chaining memories
in a captivating stare
engulfed in warm air

today is your birthday
a bittersweet refrain
my skin chilled by frost
skies cloaked in gray
longed to reach out
but had nothing to say

every syllable
a dance from your lips
echoes within these walls
tenderly grips
wrapped in a memory
like a gift bestowed
kept where they belong
a soulful song

Who am I to deserve?
I was once a Queen,
but now I serve.

Who am I to dream of hope?
Just a sinner,
I inhale pain to cope.

Who am to exhale a wish?
Angels I've abandoned,
Demons I've kissed.

Who am I to wrestle with earth?
I afflicted myself,
that day, at birth.

Is it another year so soon?
My little man, my dear big boy
as time goes on it begins to wound
yet still there remains a lasting joy.
Surprise hugs and silly kisses
shrink my world to you and I
and time’s wounding power decreases
as you teach me to deny
all I have and all I desire
to give it up, to self forget.
This is a truth that reaches higher,
to become content as vignette
Son’s third birthday
