Distantly Close Sun
Shayne Campbell Sep 2018
The space crosses the horizon
Bending but not breaking our bond
For the sun always reaches the earth
Space and time cannot cut our love

Your voice strums the piano cord
Taking me to a place beyond thought
An emissary outside of time
The walls come down and light shines

Your eyes and smile will bring me
A warmth like falling into a dream
Follow your dream of light and rise
For the darkness will never halt your dawn

The Thought
Shayne Campbell Jan 2018
The night was still
The air was cold
The path was cracked
It bled the filth of us

Mary had a heart for Chris
He was my little heart too
We thought it would stop
It was broken

The law took him away
They said we were not ready
The debt fell like a hill on our necks
And they finally broke our dream

They left us in the shadows
Chris would become their lab rat
But our faith stood in their way
And our pursuit for them began

Now all eyes are on us
We may have won the battle
But the hunt was born
There was no home anymore

Foe after foe we fight
The faith in Chris kindled
And we prove to be strong
But their blood is on our hands

The Usual Grey
Shayne Campbell Oct 2017
The sheets are not made
The bathroom door is shut
My hands turn to painkillers
As they cut and clean myself

I feel the sting of words
I feel them pulling my heart
The mind feels alone
Despite the social surrounding

This is not a ******* joke
There is no levity in the choke
The bathroom turns red
And my blood sends this message

Awakening A God
Shayne Campbell Oct 2016
Nature is the solver
To her own equation
When imbalance rises
Her mighty offspring
Will smite it to all ends
As apocalypse incarnate

In the sea of creatures known to Man
The deepest ground of the abyss
There slumbers one unknown to Man
The blue whale is merely his hand
Sails of death cut through the water
His body radiates a nuclear terror

On the blue horizon he rises
As a mountain moving through sea
Standing in majesty greater than kings
The clouds are his crown and subjects dust
His steps tremble the earth and turn cities rubble
The roar of Godzilla is the horn for the end of Man
This poem is a tribute to Godzilla, one of my favourite movie monsters.

Our Blood Prints
Shayne Campbell Oct 2016
Above I see lines of light
Below I feel a cold floor of stone
In front I see what seems a dream
A dream delighting the dark
And cutting my heart slowly
For I see children bleeding

The children are shedding blood
The children are bleeding screams
Needles, hooks, and knives
They have cut the children's chests
They have cut the children's tummies
Altogether they sing a lullaby of pain

The children drown in water
Yet they would breathe again
By the shock of the white coats
They tell us it is our time to play
Only for them to play with us
We are no more than their toys

The children are shedding tears
The children are bleeding fears
Glass, metal, and stone
They have become our cage
They have become our home
Alone we sing an elegy of pain

Our voices become more quiet
As the days move forward
We now only talk with hands
Speaking with our own blood
The glass walls turn red
Our blood prints are new words

Amber Rain
Shayne Campbell Sep 2016
Do you see what I see?
A floor of blue is beheld
The mirror to the great sky
An air without boundary
The puddle is our ground
And spreads beyond the eye

Do you feel what I feel?
With ease is the breeze
Cooling us with its breath
It seals our eyes with love
The wind is our pillow
An agent of tranquility

The follower to the sight and wind
A twilight unfolds before us
The sun intersects the water and sky
More to the awe are tears from above
Showering the puddle in a yellow light
It brings our love to an amber glow

The Answer Of Light
Shayne Campbell Jun 2016
Wake up my fallen loves
All is calm in this new realm
For you now dwell in light
Shining on plains of green
It will guide you home
And you will hurt no more

Once you breathed in a world
Breathing the airs of pain
You were not with the many
For the many repelled you
Clouding your minds with lone
And worrying your hearts

Lonesome years of sorrow
Will always reach their end
Death's door is the only line
Separating the alive and dead
Unjust deaths landed you here
Slain by the hands of hate

Do not be afraid my loves
Your time has come at last
Walk across the soft grass
Approach the ceaseless dusk
Embrace the pillow of winds
Your loves are of no end here

The birds will fly without fall
The greens flourish in the light
The waters glisten with blue
Time cannot tide you anymore
Hearts and minds hurt no more
Hate's hunt for you will end here

I will always be here to love you
No matter how quiet I may seem
Unity is our strength everywhere
Taints of division will be no more
In the light before you is the answer
The one that will allow you to rest
This poem is dedicated to all victims of hate crimes. No matter how different we may be, love will unite us together while hate will always divide us. No matter how prevalent evil may be, we must rise above despair and fight with hope.

Hover Like A Cloud
Shayne Campbell Jun 2016
The sky is the home of clouds
The dome of the breath of Earth
The window to the sun and moon
So shall it show us its wonders
Coursing the airs with many
For the being's eye to witness

The boundary between Earth and sky
Shall it be written with the laws of nature
Winds caress the trees and storms bellow
Policing the order of all beings
Ceasing the children in the chamber
Leaving them with a skyward gaze

The Earth incubates its offspring
Shielding them from the void
But a prison's life is not adhered
The children want to play beyond
So shall they fight for freedom
And hover like clouds in the sky

Temple Of Time
Shayne Campbell Apr 2016
Steps echo beyond space
Large windows serving the sun
A hall of stone and choir reach the sky
The regal shape shrines the Goddess
It is the house of the Blade of Evil's Bane
And the gates to the Golden Land

Wave upon wave of times
As spaces change through each ripple
Her Grace is born anew in mortal flesh
She shall await the coming of the Hero
And so shall she aid him in the quest
And so shall the Golden Path be opened

Darkness will find its flesh as well
The Demon King will infect his curse
And rise to destroy all that is good
Through earth, fire, and water
To shadow and spirit will he rule
'Till the coming of the Hero of Time

The Temple of Time stands alone
Against the onslaught it lingers
In service to Hylia and the Hero
The Master Sword shall awaken
And will cut light into the darkness
This poem is a tribute to The Legend of Zelda, my favourite video game series.

The Worry
Shayne Campbell Apr 2016
The flesh differs between in and out
Outside I am steady as a tree stump
But within I feel assault on the flesh
Out are friends but in they seem foes

The flesh could serve the soul's strength
Or it could be a prison for one to dwell
Without others I feel love and pain
With others I feel love and pain

Worry breaks down my inner flesh
My throat congests to heighten breath
The heart pounds without mercy
To no end fear imprisons my mind

For others' regard I cannot see them
A barrier is walled between our minds
The worry haunts me for their betrayal
But in existence they seem loyal

My want is to be certain
But certainty is not my gift
I will always fight to learn so
And try to love without despair
I wrote this work about my learning disability, Asperger's Syndrome.

Seas Together
Shayne Campbell Apr 2016
The horizon take my eyes
My voice silenced by the waves
The breeze cuddles me on the blue
An ocean wields might with no end

Rowena come forth to the bow
A light emits a watery glisten
Take a ride through the wind
And awe yourself in the sea dusk

Victoria look down from the stern
Children of the aqua follow us
Delighted they jump into the free air
Sights can show little yet empower us

A bridge over a river yields a show
Ships on oceans give freedom from land
Time and seas may spread us apart
But all journeys together make us so
This work is dedicated to my friends whom I pledged to include in a poem in honour of their support.

Master Of The Void
Shayne Campbell Mar 2016
Be yourself one of the light
Be yourself one of the night
Begger or demander of the stars
Worker or waster of the hours
Difference is not when comes the end
The time of last is your judgment

All parts earth are mortal and will weary
The shepherds will turn restless to madness
Saddening the wise and smiling the devil
Slayers of kin they turn and find only loss
Bells will forever toll for the coming fire
The fire that will rain from the angry heavens

When the world halts in its fully aged shadow
All things earthly depleted for toxic luxury
Humans ceaselessly living in their dark arts
Winds from silent howl to rage do they roar
The ground thunders in nature's quake
Oceans and rivers of fire smother all to ruin

No more sinners thrive in power
As they flee like insects from the swatter
Their kin's blood stained on their souls
The world's blood spilt on their account
The sun's light shuts off and sight is only black
Almighty horror emerges out of the sun's corpse

Beyond the clouds of lightning is a portal
The gates to nothingness have been opened
The world has heard its call for the end
Into the void will creation be undone
And the fallen angels too will descend
Fearing the arrival of the Master Himself

All that has been has ended
But those that be with evil live
For they shall face the last judgment
Out of the endless void He comes
His voice utters terror inside the demons
And leaves them to rot in eternal naught

The Weathers Of The World
Shayne Campbell Mar 2016
All damp of the first Spring rain
Raises life of wood and leaf to be
The sun is their life and it is theirs
A pale light to drown the shadow
The star that sings to the fresh soil
Plants of all different first grow

All shine of the first Summer light
It shall bring forth the blossom of prime
The flowers blanket fields with colour
Trees grown with shields of green
Crops are born to serve the shepherds
A Summer's day is a day in the heavens

A crack of twilight through the clouds
An incoming cool arrives the Autumn
The red, yellow and brown are the colours
They coat the leaves with an age of old
The trees grow weary with fallen branches
Plants first retract with the air's first chill

The cold white of Winter breezes
The plants sleep under snow sheets
Frigid gales grant death to the weary
So the green life may start anew
In the earth's spin of weathers
White fields shall guard until their end

Breathe Forever In Valinor
Shayne Campbell Mar 2016
When my journey comes to its end
All my thought and time spent
There will be one last journey
In secret the sea leads to eternity

I disembark upon a land hidden from sight
I see a barricade of mountains on guard
A place where all the fair creatures delight
Beyond these huge walls lies that land of heart

Opened are my eyes and my mind
Sanctuary of light and green entwined
The sun forever dwells in the airs
No more touch of foul and all is fair

The lands and the waters are undying
Birds in the airs of peace stay flying
The home to the Powers of the World
Absolute beauty to me was first unfurled
This poem is a tribute to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, who is one of my influences as a writer.

The Piano Walks
Shayne Campbell Dec 2015
Down the evening hallway
Across the silent parkway
The wise of a dawn rises
A one we hear that cries

The piano walks to the yard
Strings tug leaving its prison
The piano stands on the horizon
Playing before the morning light

Into our ears so vividly clear
It takes us far away from fear
We will watch and hear the dusk
A heaven where it will take us

The piano walks to the yard
It casts out a frowning tune
Yet we smile close to it
Reaching our time of love

My Dearest Father
Shayne Campbell Nov 2015
My dearest father,
A father is one who cares to no end
A father is a protector of the clan
The children would find solace in you
And everyone is in love at the house

From the light an angel comes for the mind
And the darkness sends a demon to bind
One turns the man into a guardian of love
The other of an unholy monster does it glove

You can serve the benevolent or the ill
But you chose the path of dark downhill
A stranger at home and a fear to all you are
What was love has sank into shadow

My dearest father,
A father is not one who neglects forever
A father does not spread fear in the clan
The children would cry away from you
And everyone lives in hate at the house

Night Flower
Shayne Campbell Nov 2015
The sun has fallen under the earth to sleep
An orb of pale glows the ground of deep
A family of lights convene the black sky
Today departs and night guards the morrow

Even in the darkest sights do wonders galore
Shards of serenity comforting the sad moors
A glimpse of calm through the busy clouds
Shining a ray of hope below the grey shrouds

A lonely moonlight shore glistens a plant
A plant warming the heart to an enchant
I am the heart and you are the flower
Winds of your petals course me with love

Past the twilight you radiate beauty
On the dark sand we blossom together
The night lights draw our gaze to the sky
Each moment is a flower with you

Until The Evening Comes
Shayne Campbell Nov 2015
You have until the evening comes
Run across the room
Fly aboard your broom
Turn your way to the evening sun

Make your hurry when the evening comes
Long before the dawn
I will not be your pawn
Turn your way to the evening sun

I will give you until the evening comes
Enchant yourself to rush
Miss your times of hush
Turn your way to the evening sun

I will wait for you until the evening comes
Make your path on the gone
Delaying you shall be none
Turn your way to the evening sun

Stare Straight To The West
Shayne Campbell Oct 2015
Above the ground I feel a vessel of air
Through the clouds I pass with care
Before me lies the path to the west
I find my return to life for the best

Nature is wondrous to behold in my soar
Time is of no concern in this galore
Space frees me far from the surface
All is a show for my eyes to encompass

The ground was my tomb of distress
Until I saw my escape to the west
To use my wings was the one dare
I fought until I revived in the air

The ground is a memory and the air is home
My arms spread guided my free roam
The horizon is a beauty of orange hue
This heaven I will always stare straight to

The Blue Pearl
Shayne Campbell Oct 2015
She stretches over the pearl with blue
Her waves guide more than a few
The surface embraces a hearty float
Ships sail across this massive moat

Her sky of water houses many creatures
They are a wonder so full beyond feature
The sun treats the surface like a mirror
Reflecting the pearl's beauty so clear

The found sail their way to the islands
The lost are always guided by the winds
But the lost cannot always join the islands
For the found cannot always transcend

The lost ones have lost their home
The pearl calls them to a new home
But the found must grant them a home
The lost and found together will be home

An Icicle Lies Dripping
Shayne Campbell Oct 2015
You can glisten with a sharp edge
But remain untrue to your pledge
Frozen with a soul of cold hollow
Leaving a life so short and shallow

You have the strength to hold
But a push can break your soul
Tears fall from the tip of the cone
As the heat tests what you have sown

You can stand out beyond sight
Mesmerize apart from your kind
But in the end you are all the same
A bunch of icicles for the eye to tame

Finding Our Way Home
Shayne Campbell Sep 2015
We were children born on the land of fair
You were a child raised by those of despair
When we met, your soul was lost far behind
When we met, there was light in our bind

Something I saw was pain in you
Something I never saw was peace in you
Your heart was calling for freedom
Your heart was living in cumbersome

A yearly cry prolonged your shadow
I came forth to absolve your sorrow
Take my hand and come follow
Together we will find the meadow

A land wreathed in green is our treasure
The sun shone light beyond measure
All the plants of beauty are ours to roam
In our silence we have found our home

Back To Life
Shayne Campbell Feb 2015
People can be cold like stone
When you're left all alone
But others are not so sealed
Their love will make you healed

I pulled myself from others away
I pushed you out of the day
I left you in the night
But now I will do what's right

Give me your hurting
Give me your aching
I'm here if you need love
It will fly like a dove

I will not leave but stay
Until you leave harm's way
Lean on my shoulder of ties
Release all of your cries

The Nourishing Suns
Shayne Campbell Feb 2015
We all live in a vast sea of humanity
Surrounded by forces of brutality
The strong always inherit the earth
The weak have suffered since birth
The swimmers embrace as a whole
While the drowning are left in the cold

Once I was a drowner desperate to swim
Destined to join the swimmers was my hymn
Straying away from myself couldn't stay me afloat
Dependence on the strong questioned my code
All on myself left the drowners to their descent
The abyss swallowed me until I made my repent

Praise for the swimmers and ignorance to the drowners
These actions were of no strength but my worst failures
Blood spilled from my heart yet there was a saviour
Turning to my kind was I no longer a traitor
I brought them out of the darkness to the light
We became a force very strong the further we tight

As we rallied our strength, we fought our way to the surface
Torn hearts became sewn into one without weakness
Our return journey was not of acceptance but for truth
We found no light with the swimmers for our soothe
But from within we found our own suns of nourish
Embracing who we are founded our true courage

Pines Of Dawn
Shayne Campbell Dec 2014
She is dressed to survive
In a world of all deprived
The wind blows cold
As she keeps her hold
Ahead she sets her sight
Discerning what is right

A land of ice and snow is the circumstance
Conferring with the wild gives her substance
She had no place in her kind but nature
Ordaining a life of solitary nurture
The snow, the trees, and the mountains embellish
A family of pines housed her dawn of relish

Through The Dome
Shayne Campbell Dec 2014
I rewind to my past to build a home
A place to suffer through memories
Separated from all under this dome
The moths eat away my quilt of pleas

I see an old man sitting before a fence
Clothed in rags with a life of pretence
His earth was a path to salvation
But his promises narrowed into lies
Such pseudo tact earned his demise

A fence between him and society was hindrance
Similar to my dome of precise encumbrance
To know this was to know the real way out
Releasing my soul to you is no matter of doubt

The dome cracks as light shines upon the dark mind
Allowing the cuts to be bandaged by the kind
My truth to you will not be of ease for me to do
But the end will be my ease for I came forth to you

Look to the future of your flesh spring
The roots are deep but you're something
The ship won't sail 'till you untie the moors
Not mere harvest but you will be more

You mustn't fret for the seasons to run
Strength will make nothing beyond you
Neither the burning of the fat old sun
Nor the freezing of the icy white pool
Can hinder your growth to ripe

If the mind matters over the heart
What is your impulse for the start?
You must balance all the thoughts
Or you will turn into distraught

Up there you will reach the top
All will reap your fruit to no stop
But some will illude with fraught
If you give in, you will begin to rot

And when your taste fades to the bone
The soil curdles towards your sewn
Just another corpse for the compost
But it is choice that mights the most

You mustn't fret for your wasted fate
For a new life will not slow the rate
You become one with the ground
And return to nature's new round

The Infernal Kiss
Shayne Campbell Dec 2014
In a land of the living, there echoed a horror beyond conception
A tale of truth do all the creatures of the day and night shun
'Tis regrettable that such a knowledge had plagued their minds
This legend of terror is it sourced from the tall mountain of demise
So towering has it forever stalked the land with its shadowy might
For the one behind the tale's inspire dwells in the titan's inside

Outside the mountain is it natural compared to what lurks in this
A hollow that seems the sleepy yet houses the sleepless malice
Prowling the pure darkness and bringing intruders their fiery grave
Eyes does it have with a gaze piercing all through the flesh in a wave
Teeth sharp as razors and huge jaws serving the entry to Hell
Its searing fire breath is Hell's weapon and wings too grand to tell

Traversing its way from legend to life is an abomination of darkness
Dwarfing the largest crocodile and appearing an equal to the godliest
It commandeers the skies it soars across and extends the land with fire
The earth shall turn from paradise to purgatory and all will be mire
This juggernaut of a demon will juggle the world in flames to no miss
Upon exiting the mountain will all perish from the beast's infernal kiss

Warmth Of The Snow
Shayne Campbell Dec 2014
I knew a dream worth the applause
Calming the restless child I once was
A blanket of white snow over the field
On a prairie that stretched to no yield
Clear night watched over the free land
It was a place of ease and a sight so grand

Towards the night sky I look to when I'm down
While I lay upon the snow of pure eiderdown
This world of dark blue filled with stars of delight
In the moonlight I lay with my love by my side
There is no cold but the thermal of each other
Letting it all go, I felt cared by the night's mother

I will always be with you as nature allows our rest
From the twilight after the trees beyond west
To the dawn of heaven's eye will the night cease
Our love flows throughout this quilt of sheets
Do not weep for me when we wake
The snow is forever our warmth to take

We Have No Future
Shayne Campbell Dec 2014
Ignorance is everyone's bliss
I am one that no one will miss
All friends make connection look smooth
But it is something I could never do
Would it harm you to talk to me?
Would it **** you to stay with me?

I tried going to bed early but I can't
There are always thoughts and rants
People will always abuse and **** one another
The animals die, plants die, care dies
Parents grow selfish and more babies die
One touch of young *** comes a single mother

All you people are smokers and the world is your ashtray
The days turn cold and colder as you go astray
I want to love you but you're all so full of ****
I wanted to fit in but you never were fit
Would you care to say hello or at least goodbye?
Would you even care if I die?

I tried to wake up at 8 in the morning but couldn't
I remember what day it is when I shouldn't
Too tired I laid back asleep to pass the time
It is another day to be reminded of my past crimes
When I enter someone's life, there's usually an exit
I couldn't realize they were not meant to be fit

I was your friend until we dived into this pool
You didn't love me but saw me as your tool
I fought so hard to keep you I hurt you
You took me in but cast me back into the cesspool
Would you remember me for who I am?
Would you stay if you gave a ****?

We have no more conviction
We have no more truth in our diction
We have no more bricks to build this wall
We have no more conscience for all
We have no more escape from death
We have no more air for our last breath
We have no future

Serena's Tears
Shayne Campbell Dec 2014
On the harsh, cold pavement did the failing princess lie flat
On the verge of her kingdom falling her hindsight was to ****
On the throne of Callula did Zargon cast his usurp ruthlessly
On his account had darkness plagued the country mercilessly
On her struggling breath did Serena lament her distrust for him
On past occasions was Zargon her advisor until came his dim
On the land of Callula was Serena banished from without hope
On the filthy floor in a deserted castle could be her last interlope

Callula is a land once prosperous with green, blue, and light in awe
Now it has become the domain of evil under Zargon's dark claw
All about the once-coloured land has turned to barren grey
Ash and dust have given priority to the recurring death day
The living will starve and the dead will re-establish the nation
That is unless the prophesied hero will rise to combat this damnation
But the whereabouts of such one is a mystery for there is little left
By rarity will the saviour appear for monsters occupy all of the heft

Sick with fatigue does Serena crawl for justice in the pale moonlight
Behind the rotten castle walls must she find the means for the right
How unfortunate is the abandoned place giving her little chance
To the death will she fight to save her kingdom from the evil stance
She drags her tranced self across the filthy tiles tearing her dress
An outdoor domain of rotting torture devices is a fearful mess
Weary from hiding and travelling gives Serena her mental wane
It is at this point of despair and her people dying she tears in pain

Callula's kind citizens who lived in peace are now infected with ill
Abundance was food and water but vanished into a land of chill
Zargon is the Lord of the Dark Regime and the Bringer of Shadow
His royal relations charitably bestowed upon him the greedy glow
All must bow before this usurper king or will face the eternal suffer
Resistance may be noble but will fall under the darkness smother
When Zargon attained kinghood he gave Serena her ****** exile
Beauty has bled from the devil's blade and now walks pain's mile

In a pool of her own blood does Serena now crawl ever so slow
Her rain of tears express an outcry of help in a mood of sorrow
All alone in the cold rainy weather does she fret in the torture room
Bloodied, torn, and weak she now is similar to Callula's gloom
What seemed to be her acceptance to the heavens comes a surprise halt
An unexpected warrior deters a death that was Zargon's demonic fault
Now healed and restored, Serena thanks the man with genuine love
An intimate kiss and hug under the dark sky gives her tears of the dove

Inside the darkness of the empty castle lies the secret to end evil's tide
Holding closely do the recovering princess and wily man ride
Quietly traversing the dark tunnels must they avoid waking any doom
Deep within the ancient world lies things more deadly than any boom
Serena's hope is kept alive by her love for the hero's act of saving a life
A life worth saving for she suits the throne sharper than any knife
The Kindle Sword, designed to break curses, has finally been found
Now Zargon's immortality will die for the weapon shall astound

For the land and people of Callula do the two make their royal march
Into the darkened Callula Tower shall justice they deliver to the enemy
All monsters flee in fear of the Kindle Sword that shines without mercy
The heavens' light spark in the midst of the underworld's darkness
A sign that the mighty inferno will soon perish by the incoming water
Scaling the once delicate now dreaded keep is the final step
What follows is the war between the forces of good and evil
Serena and the hero shall make their last stand against Zargon

The two valiant Callulians braved their way up through Zargon's tower
Defeating every loyal servant of the Lord of the Dark Regime's power
Upward are the stairs to the underworld as the music louder it ascends
Behind the large door of the throne lies the chance to make amends
Breathing in fear but motivated by courage do the good enter the way
Armed with the Kindle Sword and determination will create this fray
Inside the throne room do Serena and the hero meet Zargon head on
Following a sadistic grin does he arrogantly engage the battle head on

Both sides exchange turns of blows as the war rages the room apart
Walls and pillars of stone become rubble from the anger of all heart
Blades clash, energy blasted, and blood spilled for Callula's domain
Zargon stood strong but Serena and the hero soon had the upper gain
His arrogance became his downfall when stabbed by the hero's blade
The Kindle Sword's light smiting evil with all justice from it is made
Zargon collapses in a state of disbelief before his untimely death
Serena and the hero couldn't rejoice though as the building just breathed its last breath...

The last resort for Zargon was to crush Serena and the hero in the ruins
Callula Tower began to destruct as stone fell from the force of bruins
Luckily the two courageous souls escaped the oncoming collapse
Serena's future hope is to not grant evil royal power for fear of relapse
Just as the brave princess and the hero could rejoice, there was a boom
Abrupt was the immediate silence then the unexpected came to bloom...

EXPLODING FROM THE RUBBLE WAS THE ENRAGED ZARGON
INTOLERANT OF A HUMILIATING DEFEAT HIS EYES GLEW RED
THE EARTH TREMBLED AS THE HORROR LOUDLY AWAKENED;
ZARGON SLOWLY TURNED INTO A  BLOODTHIRSTY BEAST
TOWERING AND VIOLENT, THERE WAS ONLY ONE PURPOSE:
THIS INCARNATION OF ZARGON'S HATE WILL **** THEM ALL

THE LAST STAND BECAME TRUE AS THE HERO WAS KILLED
DEATH BY THE MONSTROUS ZARGON BECAME HIS FUNERAL
SERENA WEPT AND WAS ABOUT TO FLEE WHEN SHE TURNED
HER TEARS WERE NOT OF GRIEF BUT OF COURAGEOUS ANGER
SHE TOOK THE KINDLE SWORD AND FOUGHT ZARGON
TO SEEMINGLY NO END WOULD THE CEASELESS BATTLE RAGE
THE MONSTER FINALLY MET ITS FATAL DEFEAT BY THE SWORD
SEVERAL SLASHES FOLLOWED BY DECAPITATION SOLVED ALL

The Bringer of Shadow, with his fate sealed, the dark land also sealed
The green grass, blue water, and bright light returned to land their heal
The citizens relieved of the dystopian terror with the heavenly reign
Serena the princess now honours her slain royal family without the pain
As for the fallen hero, she honours her comrade with an elegant funeral
Callula is now saved and blessed with qualities beyond any numeral
The hopeless land now restored to the hopeful land, Serena shall rest
All the while she looked in retrospect that her tears were the cause for the best

Beyond The Surface
Shayne Campbell Nov 2014
Life lived with melancholy is none thus decent
Romance has long been a disbelief until recent
Faced with souls of false benevolence that are countless
Gives me the urge to turn away from what is mountless
Angels were no more than mere demons in disguise
Preying on those with benefit will lead to their demise
However, the apple soon fell from the lonely tree of wither
And made its landing through the serene waters hither

Long have me and her walked across the grey shore
Until the journey soon brought to us a place to adore
A tree of healthy brown wood and green leaves
Grass so wholesome there was no more to please
The dusk settling in the western horizon by will
Where nature had its shine by the sight so tranquil
She and I sat upon nature's carpet under the tree
Gazing at heaven's eye whilst the apple has the watery clean

All the waves move in silence of our moment together
Not only externally but inside she and I become linked
Sitting close with each other embracing all around us
The touch is the key to proving our ever-longed bond
Two hearts become one as hands start the ****** caress
Kissing and hugging in the twilight is the divine love
The red sky of peace is a witness to our true unity
Beyond the surface has the apple turned fully ripe

Hell Before The Cave-In
Shayne Campbell Nov 2014
Consciousness is a struggle beyond constance
Hell is an emotion desired in this instance
My hand drifts further away from the effort
My mind suffers the condensed from pressure
Need I not to shed these tears of stress
For I want nature to work with good progress
All the glass shards delve deep into patience
The curtain slowly ignites from this nonsense
It will all cave in around me against my control
But I shall explode these demons away with the toll
For my panic desires any escape from this hellhole

The Kitchen Counter
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Morning is a trigger to activate the awakening normative
Prior to such a tradition was endorsing the night of sedative
Temptation pressures me to remain with the sleep of comfort
But day is none other than a truce between light and alert
Leave the bed I must and forward to the room of ****** nurture
The kitchen is the place to cope past the room filled with furniture

Upon the counter I shall set my coffee to rest with the breeze
Bacon is part of the morning nurture I shall extract from the freeze
Inside the toaster shall be two bread slices facing the slow roast
Alongside the swine's flesh shreds are eggs from the chicken host
Products of meat shall cook upon the range until come the full stop
This morning meal shall I consume when done its use on the countertop

The Curse Of The Nocturne
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
The sun bores the light and the moon bores the dark
Some awaken at dawn, at night do others make their mark
The pure course their routine as the bee feeds off of the flower
The unnatural rise against nature's tradition with terrifying power
Abominations are born to destroy the balance as they are cursed
Coming together by wolf and man are a result among the worst

The human is a dweller of the light, and a sleeper of the nocturne
Full shining sun does it protect the human from the appalling turn
The full moon is the only eclipse to this haven of temporary peace
For the lunar cycle assigns the human to monster upon release
To stay in the light maintains the course of all normality to tell
For the one when light descends to shadow does Heaven turn to Hell
The growth of searing teeth, claws, and fur are terrors before the howl
Signalling no mere wolf but a humanoid beast to begin its nightly prowl

Pain induced by the exchange from man to beast is a tremendous flood
Upon the finish is granted a hungry taste for all things pure blood
The sleeper becomes the hunter of the night and the slasher of many
Tall does it stand with a gaze of death drawn to the prey plus twenty
A roar is the threat to scatter a lion pack and a predicate to destroy
Once in sight, escape is impossible for all are the werewolf's toy
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Weary do the shields of my eyes achieve a state of such
Toil is the day's reception to my work of much
Night ascends to the mind as the sun begins its rest
More the wake does more the shadow be addressed
Cold I become and want for the warm does it to me infect
Life is an angel under the cover but outward it is a defect
Need do I escape from the hardship of the daily chore
As I make full of a wish to reproach my tire in this lore

The bed is a place of night salvation that I lovingly caress
The demon of cold is it a safe abode from that I eternally bless
My head shall it slumber upon the clouds of comfort
Such a ritual relieves me from a duty of holding alert
Stress will vanish as mist in the humid of the summer
Machine of function will it deactivate for the dream's mummer
The feet retire to soft from standing on the surface of hard
To ease is to embrace a gift from the Creator of the Yard

The mission is to allow human nature to take the nightly course
Do not disturb this easy task for it I will reciprocate with hoarse
Cannot I stay functional for all's time and grant you the satisfy
As the sun cannot be stilled for eternal light and other gratify
Hear I must for the lullaby of none to soft to give me the advance
True be the rising moon and false be the blinding sun in my stance
A theatre casting me the role of the corpse for the night's occupation
It is a transition from the hell of wake to the heaven of hibernation

Home is not material but the heart's settlement of love
Freedom I have liberated myself to from work's shove
Awakening is a prison sentence and unconscious is the escape
Morning do I wish to remain in this world under the drape
Unfortunate is the force of nature to allow the night to sail
Arrival is the day's light of blind and the cold's powerful hail
This transition is a paragon of survival tests for all human
Two paths are the endurance of ****** wake or forever numen

The Summer's Tide
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Risen will always be the angel with the sun's heart
Fallen is not her intent for bright strength is her part
Her grace is the sun giving the dark land its shine
To observe her light is to be engulfed with divine

She is the warmth to the river's source of eternal flow
The rain of nature ensuring beauty of the flowers' grow
The light to give the clean observe all that is over yonder
A lonely region given her companionship is with wonder

Such an angel, with effort, is the saviour from a desert of hate
Alone mustn't she be for the healed must grant the reciprocate
To stay true is to give the angelic heart all of needed pied
In turn will she wash away the polluted with summer's tide

The Blackest Eyes
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Blank is the only thought known in the mind's velocity
Blank is the motive for the one to unleash atrocity
Blank becomes the heart as it encases no pain nor joy
Blank merely senses no rudiment in good or evil's ploy
Blank removes the face far from emotion's function
Blank contributes part in the psychotic conjunction
Blank of colour has it not, neither has it not everything
Blank is the incubator of pure evil for its purpose is nothing

Dark has claimed lordship over the temple of God
Dark shall only not grant the self but others the trod
Dark is the illness for which not shall it cease
Dark is the standing bear to the prey upon release
Dark gives the sun's casket at the funeral the seal
Dark senses no illusion in pursuit of what is real
Dark is the siren's song of tempting desire
Dark is the fuel of persuasion to the raging hellfire

Monster has the person become from a transformation much gruesome
In comparison to the lycanthrope's curse from a life so glum
Silence does the killer perform the wait for this moonrise
Wolf does not in he result but psychosis shall evoke demise
Hell is the starting gate for the devil to begin his race on earth
Slaughtered shall be anyone until achieved is the end's worth
Light will not the butcher dwell in for his blade of razor to land
Lightless will the assassin delay in for the lust of death by hand

Cannot you outrun the follower, ceaselessly he follows
Subject you are to this doctor's experiment of gallows
Shadow does for you he wait in for the death strike
Watcher will he portray such a role in his image alike
Closet shall you beware for the demon's haunt it has become
Drains are elsewhere he shall stay for they are fear to some
The primary sense is vision for it has the ability to identify
Application of the sense does it most suit the villain to mortify
The possessed blade is as sharp as the pain to cause the victim's cries
For such an action does pleasure be ensured for the blackest eyes

The Cougar's Heart
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Courage constitutes not the overcome but confrontation of fear
Necessary it is desired for the descending climate of evil here
Blotted out will be the light if left unprotected from the shadow
Thus the saviour must arise with given the resonating glow
Thrashed be the innocent by the machine of evil from the world below
Lest the valiant face the darkness with intent of casting the final blow

Foretold has always been the legend of the oncoming storm
The clouds that curse the earth with shade is such the norm
A storm of venom, infect shall it deliver to all that is living
A storm of full anger to decimate all of which is unforgiving
A storm of desert fume to starve the earth of all primitive need
A storm of wash upon the mind shall be cast on all inhabitants' heed
A storm of all evil confined in one to pursue the Creator's throne
Chaos shall delighted the evil be in the world become overthrown

Not will fear always gain the upper hand, for it has the flaw of pure
Infection residing in the wound can withdrawn be with the cure
Folklore speak of the brave that shall one barrier the evil from earth
Helpless will be defended by and evil be bind by the valour-sworn girth
Must the wielder of justice fight one shall with the hellmonger be engaged
Come shall the battle across the plains of distant will the two sides be raged
Fields will be torn by the blood and fires of the opponents' result in war
World's fate in either of the competitors' hands shall decision be with horror

Titans of good and evil shall one of either side face the bitter smite
Demons will plague hell or angels shall embrace heaven with might
Sword of the effort will accomplish completion or total destruction
Handled by good will the sword enact the bringer of the peace nation
Handled by evil will the sword further cover the land in demonization
Substance given to this reason will the legend league with the hero in part
As darkness owns a force so brute yet no match for the cougar's heart
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Witness I have become to your nature of selfish hurt
Closing does my fist form towards your mind of dirt
Pain not only you contribute but plagues me from sight
Need more do I wish for justice to give you the smite
Being does it emphasize upon the soul of righteousness
Tempt me not for the enemy urge is the bringer of madness
Longer can I not endure your treacherous ego of none so clear
Dog you will be to this wolf for it will force upon you the sear

The ones you gave the hurt is the hurt of same forced upon me
For you are the deathly gas to wither my flowers of sweet
But withered will I not remain for your poison will you get the taste
Better to be the scared insect at first of my sight and flee post-haste
Or be the impala under fright from the chase by the enraged lion
A criminal sentenced to purgatory courtesy of the devil's scion
Such comparisons do I make for this boiling cauldron to equate
Your merciless strikes of lighting is the thunder to my hate

Caged can no longer resilience be the strength for this beast
Once this prison breaks with ill, serve you shall to my anger's feast
Should accomplished be the quest for your malicious blood
The knife will bathe in the very warmth of such a flood
Riddled you not be with words but by the sting of my bullet
Disguise may you hide as an angel but I am hell's curate
Light of false intend I arrange the force of disembark
Expose is the swimmer's blood to summon the evil shark

Declare I plant are the contagious seeds of a brutal war
Stained will be the land of your blood's entirety in store
Nightly psalm shall be the scream you suffer from my bite
Death is not the salvation, but it is the durability of my fight
Persecution will not be your past-time but your time of demise
Order must be the oar to surpass the river of chaos for the rise
The sky of blue shall red be the change from your blood of grunge
As your reign of evil before my deep breath will end by the plunge

Winds of Vengeance
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Calm was the air did its breath of slow utter
Slight given was the pressure against the trees' clutter
The tide gave toward the shore a bathing of fond
A raindrop tapping the ripple in the water's pond
Nature was it mothered to be the earth of pure
Land, air, and water were the children of cure
Howbeit born was the arrival of human error
For Nature a victim she became of this polluting terror

All content of luxury became poison when left forgot
Expense became the drain of Nature when industry was begot
Slave did she become with the negligent torture by all synthetic
Water was it forced to swallow hard all fluids of hectic
Land was it diagnosed with a cancer of slow plague in the cell
Air did bleeding of all fresh had it become from the settled hell
Human destined were they to rule yet abuse emerged their ego
Dying may be Nature but reaction will not treat with regal

Beware be the responsible for their prisoner has power of destructive
No longer shall Nature absorb mankind's terror with constructive
Balance of all earthly condition does support root from the wind
Tool of value has it forever been used to course the planet's skin
But in addition can poison fuel the wind's vehicle to maximum
Point of breaking can wind unleash Nature with the pendulum
Quiet will no longer be Nature idle in standing by
Foresight will come with the storms to punish those with might

A tower of gales shall it tear apart all houses of mankind
Tides will erupt with anger to wash all those to the bind
Burn shall explosion cooperate with volcanoes for the share
Extrapolated be all ends of the heat spectrum beyond repair
Survival can longer not it be for the humans to this breeze
Nature wages the unmatched war till gone be the disease
Launching from her fissure shall come the monsters' end
For her ally of wind will one make the closing amend

The Mockingbird Child
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Cry did the child emit from the newly joined world
Pain was it not meant to be but joy was unfurled
Happiness sprouted from this normative of birth
As the child I see before me runs in my bloodline on earth
A child the innocence of whom enlightens the eyes with divinity
A family's bond shall it be resonated to ever with infinity

Hush my sweet little child
Must not ever allow yourself trouble be mild
Daylight perceived is your beauty to that of the blue sky
An angelic soul shall come the spring of the garden of flowers
Beyond the intersecting horizon of the tallest towers
Comfort so relaxation enters the mind shall it arise best
Incarnation of such a grace will summon as none other than rest

Given is the hunger for one so full of youth
To fill a little stomach is to dine on the food of truth
The curtailing of the feasting is human's belonging of nature
Function such a basic need or shall you be prevented from the mature
Admirable so much applies to yourself should more you deserve
Ascertaining the diet contradicts such a moment for the food's reserve
For any toddler must not endure the dangers of gluttony
A deadly sin I fear would vivify your future of mutiny

Newborn normality is keen on rest and hunger
A burden shall I upon myself do the best to asunder
Longed have the heart of I to bore a child into my life
Burden yourself that you are not, you are higher than the fife
State of quality that you are gifted a mockingbird with it compares
All goodness does the heavenly creature rise up such crystal stairs
Consider you a dime a dozen shall I not in this massive pond
For my love for you will always strengthen our faithful bond

Glistened
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
Rotten is the apple for it has been exposed to contamination
Dead is the battery for it has been fulfilled with tiring completion
Darkened is the lantern for it has fuel of no more leniency
Broken is the heart for thrashed it has had from harmful potency

Seemed did the loss of hope come into play
A day, each one passing after the other, was always grey
Sights of familiarity soon filled the mind with worry
A deadly task became a plague of notion for hurry
Another life's closure did up I looked desperately for
Shining like the streaming waters off the sun was a dying presence in the core

Then it was, a ray of something anew did it perform the strike
Surprising was the effect did pain not come to be my like
A puddle of ignorance undergoing purification
No longer does the soldier obey the false commission
Ashes in the windless pit awakening the pyro
From the abyss to the surface will the missile launch from the silo
The confinement of solitude broken by the door's opening of freedom
Depression's catatonia healed by the coming of the prophet's random

An expectation that was past desired but now grown with dim
A light of restoration journeyed a descent to the dark heart
The sheep no longer lost by the sound of the shepherd's hymn
Resurrection by peace came the content feeling in playing the part
True did come the forgotten dream of kindled hope
As God's state of grace purged me with the soft interlope

Return was the confidence brought on by such happiness
Bridges of all intersection burned did rebuilt come with goodness
Gone were the demons and rescue came from the angels
Virtuous of all states shall dwell I be within and turn the tables
People of all wise shall up I now be for the listen
For my core of darkness has been rid with the grace of glisten

The Gate
Shayne Campbell Oct 2014
A sun of beautiful orange do I spectate
Blossoming flowers by nature shall the sun create
Nearby the horizon does the sun set above
Passing by comes from the last of the dove
While beside the tree of green I lay with my love
But this cannot be
As it is no more than the most ideal of a dream

Regret is the aftermath of the dream I wake from
A life in continuation to endure a mirror of a ***
A sun no longer shines brightly in such a life
Often does my temple of God selfishly suffer from the knife
The only real dream is to enter through the gate
Tired and hurt do such emotions drive me to hate
Stemmed from such a state is the poison of ridicule and loneliness
Parasites that drain the content mind and trap the king in chess

Once there was a person did love give me the fall
Seemed did she have a complete reflection of the dream at all
She was the sun to shine my heart from withered to blossom
Dark did the light of her become as I longed for more of her psalm
A light that encompassed a happiness I really knew
To escape the gate was to stay in the light of truth
But the only escape was the truth in me during this mission
As longing was overcome with the sin of obsession
The outcome raged in defence of herself against my state of corrupt
Like the thunder pressuring the volcano to erupt
The blossomed heart soon tore in two
As the other fled with anger and the reaction became cruel
Thus did her leaving give me more reason to further my desire
To enter the gate with an extraordinary sense of dire

The demons manifesting themselves as convincers of the gate
Another living in an equal time of companionship to a mate
A whole life with a demon known none other than loneliness
Isolation and seclusion are merely flies compared to this spider
The strongest of weaknesses is social communication, no less
No loved ones, no friends, no family, nothing out of the world that is wider
Can serve as the parting from the only companion, loneliness
A towering shadow that buries the light in my heart of no more bless

Happiness is the false prophet and depression is my only date
****** of the self and others have been my dreams of late
Hope has no more ignition, the mind's candle has been extinguished
Darkness will soon take me to the path of that which is distinguished
The last step is to pass through the gate
The last access of my life will bring the last resort alive
Death shall cradle me a haven safe from this painful life

— The End —
