I've always dreamed of adventure, but now, I'm not so sure.
I grew up playing video games and playing pretend in the woods.
What I would've given to be Link with my own legendary quest.
But these are turbulent times.
Between my anxiety and the businessman-president and his blue-bird threats and the media, honestly, I'd rather curl up in a ball and stay inside my house forever.
But the truth is, no one ever caught a crocodile by hiding in their
house.
It takes real bravery.
And while I've got problems staring me down like I'm deadmeat,
I've got to be a crocodile hunter. I have to.
It's the only way to free the princess trapped inside.
This poem aged well —ha! Guess I got my wish to stay indoors! I caused COVID-19, so feel free to cancel me, I guess!

This world has forgotten me
Once a hero now not even a memory
The forest whispers my name
The wolves howl in remembrance
In my rites I had the mark of courage
Is this my penance?
Seven years
I stood the test of time
No stories to tell
Of the one who ended his darkness
Once a hero
Now faded into dust
No memory except the ones in my head
No memory of the Savior
No memory of the Hero of Time
Obviously this is about Link from Ocarina of Time

He stole my sight
Away through cleaves
Her freckled hair lost among leaves
A wit, a fancy unbecoming of us
No sword or arrow could ever become thus
No just
This man trampled what belonged to us
His heart,
A link
To the Past
Contempt for videogames?
Misplaced feelings for the heroine?
Ganon?

Who knows??

Steps echo beyond space
Large windows serving the sun
A hall of stone and choir reach the sky
The regal shape shrines the Goddess
It is the house of the Blade of Evil's Bane
And the gates to the Golden Land

Wave upon wave of times
As spaces change through each ripple
Her Grace is born anew in mortal flesh
She shall await the coming of the Hero
And so shall she aid him in the quest
And so shall the Golden Path be opened

Darkness will find its flesh as well
The Demon King will infect his curse
And rise to destroy all that is good
Through earth, fire, and water
To shadow and spirit will he rule
'Till the coming of the Hero of Time

The Temple of Time stands alone
Against the onslaught it lingers
In service to Hylia and the Hero
The Master Sword shall awaken
And will cut light into the darkness
This poem is a tribute to The Legend of Zelda, my favourite video game series.

If the world has found another new
Terrible disaster from which to endure
Then it will need courage, strength too
Wisdom from one who will ensure
The safety from harm and more,
Banishment of evil for the sake
Of the good people, a princess of lore
There is a sacrifice you need to make
Oh, hero of time, we need you now
More than ever before, so go
Do that which weakness won't allow
Fight the evil, defeat your old foe
The hardships you will face are known
There is so much here at risk
It's dangerous to go alone
Take this
This probably *****, but i had fun writing it, and that's all that matters.
