Walls are coming closer
How do I breathe
Does anyone see across the window glass
Why does none raise alarm

Someone is dying without a sound
Looking at his Facebook window
Scrolling through his phone's contact list
Finding no one

None cares
I have nothing to write

I know
GvSparx Oct 2015
You can shout...
detest, abhor and loathe
everything we ever had.

I shall listen and caress,
like every violent tide is,
by the shore sand.

Because I understand
your turbulence, your calm,
your patience and alarm

Because at the end of the day,
the sea, the tide and me,
are meant to be...

Because I know,
not think, not believe, not hope,
I know
we are meant to be...
Reading poems online is great, but I think we can meet up and listen to poems in poet's voice and sense those raw emotions. Ping me if interested.

Now you want me
GvSparx Oct 2015
I loved you
Like a ring holds a finger
Like a desert yearns for water
Like a planet orbits a star,
far but near, far but near

I told you
With my eyes sensing your body
With my lips licking your soul
With my arms holding you up close,
bit more, bit more

You could have
When our lips met
When those fears began to melt
When I knew you loved me ******
You did not, you did not

Now you want me
but my heart has forgotten its beat
but my wounds have ceased to bleed
but my ego has killed your need
I love you, I love you...

...but I don't want you back

I will rip your soul
GvSparx Oct 2015
I can tell you
Who am I
Where do I come from
What I believe
What do I refrain from

I can tell you
My fear
My pain
How my skin rejoices
When it touches rain

I can tell you
how free am I
bound with you
How fast my heart beats
walking slowly with you

I can tell you
How I am going to wreck your mind with a stare
And rip your tender soul
beyond repair

But you won't let me
You won't ever believe me
You'll believe me to stitch all the broken pieces of you
You'll believe me to admire your skin and flatter your ego

I will,
Always.

But if you hide your scars
Your stupid ugly dance
Your fumbles and mistakes
Your moments of disgrace

I won't rip your soul
I'll leave you in your catacomb,
Safe and secure
Like a ship on the shore
The foundation of any relationship between love and lover, an employee and a manager, a father and a son is based on trust. By trust I mean ability to say your moments of achievement and disgrace alike.

A few friends have made  a WhatsApp group. We also organize poetry open mics in Delhi and Bangalore. To bring the community of poets together, we also organize online hangouts where people from around the world share their poems and the stories behind them. Drop me a message if you are interested.

Long live poetry :)

Knife

The edge of the innocent knife
Too sharp to hide
Could you tickle my neck with it
And when my eyes close
Slit it

She Wishes
GvSparx Mar 2015
She wishes
To draw with her fingertips
on the canvas of his chest

To close her eyes,
be secure in the arms she rests

To have, on a cold and grey morning,
his warm breath on her neck

To be kissed on her forehead
till her insecurities melt

To be loved
Not to have just ***
Now just read the bold.
It still tells the story.

She is herself | Grey paper
GvSparx Jan 2015
She is herself

She does not care
about the money in the banks
Screams,
gets what she demands

She does not fear
unknown men she sees
Smiles,
melts their broken pieces

Now, that’s called swag
Now just read the bold. Whoa! It still tells the story.

Clad in icy pink, the little cheerful angel smiled at me ever so innocently. She called her mom and said "mom, uncle is standing in front of lift. I felt more wonderful about being smiled at than weird about being called uncle.

Don't you aspire to be like her?

The New Girl In Office
GvSparx Nov 2014
Likes the new girl in office
Adds her on Facebook,
she accepts.
Browses all her photos,
never comments.
Types in the chat box,
deletes.
Sees her with another guy,
disbelieves.
Another girl joins, the process repeats
Now that you have read it, please read the bold only. Voila! It still tells the complete story.
This is one of many true story #greypapers I post on Facebook. I am on a campaign where I write true stories of people in the form of poetry. I have described various funny, grave, gruesome, lovely emotions in these, you can read them at

The Last Call
GvSparx Aug 2014
Maybe it is last breath I take,
Maybe it is the last call I make..
Whom?
The one who loves me
Or the one I love
A few months ago I fell 300 feet off a cliff. I should have been dead, but I woke up I don't know why. After a 10 hour rescue operation, I escaped alive. Being alive has been seeming weird since then. I am left searching for answers.

I don't regret
GvSparx Apr 2014
Nothing can divide
my love and your lies
From the time you went on one knee
to the promise that we'll forever be
love was all I felt
now lie is all I see

I don't regret
for that will diminish
the value of moments
we lived, loved and shared
the little things
we built, nourished and cared

I still love
the love that we had
My friends hate you now
and call me mad
Because neither they nor you
will ever understand
the love that we had
the love that I have

The poem unsaid
GvSparx Apr 2014
I wish to write a poem
that no one ever heard, read
I wish to write a poem
that no one will ever hear or read
...not even you

I wish to write that poem
beginning from your neck
going down your back
sending chills down your spine
currents through your body
breaking the wall
penetrating deeper into your soul

I wish to write that poem
that can only be felt

A drop of love
GvSparx Mar 2014
Can you count the number of drops
that you see
falling down from the sky to the ground
hundred feet down?
That's too much?

Can you count the number of drops
that you see
caressing the window
right now?
That's too much?

Stretch your palm out
of the window
And catch as many pearls as you can
And tell me now

Can you count the number of drops
that are falling off
your hand
That's too much?

Can you count the number of drops
that your hand
can pour down on mine
That's too much?

That's love!
The drops that you see falling from the sky symbolize people in love that you see passing by in front of your eyes. You see them for a fraction of time and you really don't know if they stay together or are washed away in time.

The drops you see caressing the window symbolize, people who you live around you, the people you know. These drops fall on the window of your life. You see them individually, slowly coming together and sometimes, not being able to take the weight and falling down the window.

You get nothing from any of these unless you put an effort to stretch your palm, looking for the drops that can quench the thirst of your soul. In this way, you find innumerable people, no matter how much effort you put in some drops would fall with the momentum, joining the fleet of the drops that race towards the ground.

Finally your determination, effort, faith, trust and fate would save a few drops. These drops are things that you always wanted for yourself. Now you decide to share eveything you build with so much conviction with someone special without any hesitation, rules and regulations. You don't know how much you have to give and but you feel you just want to give everything that you have.

That's when you love!

The Woman Who Said It
GvSparx Mar 2014
I was half awake,
with a beautiful thoughtlessness..
He was with me,
with his arm around my waist..

I just wished,
to stay there a little longer..
On a cold Sunday morning,
All I needed was warmth of my lover..

That was a phase,
Phases don't last long..
Like million others,
Now I stand all alone..

Every dawn,
Restlessness wakes me up..
And my vacant bed reminds me,
Love too comes to an end..

I don't want love now,
Not anymore..
All I want is someone,
To fill my void..

I just with to sway to the beat,
I just wish to go wherever that hustler wants to take me..
I just wish to kiss that man on the street,
I just wish to be the woman I never used to be..

You wanted it too,
I am just saying it too..
Don't call me a *****, a ******,
I am just another lost lover..

Get a room!
GvSparx Mar 2014
I wake up and look out of the window,
Breathe some fresh air and embrace the morning glow..
In a balcony opposite to my flat,
I see a girl skimpily clad..

She maneuvers her hair to the right,
And gazes at the street with such serenity in her eyes..
Suddenly a man comes and hugs her from behind,
She is shocked, she laughs, she kisses, she smiles..

I reach my office, and what do I see,
An official flirting with another right in front of me..
The natural forces make me hear every word they speak,
I don't wish to hear such things, when not meant for me..

She sits on top of a table,
As their hands entwine..
Their lips are at striking distance,
Seems like some **** about to unwind..

After an exhausting day, I desperately need some peace,
I go to a park and my thoughts break the leash..
I see kids playing with their parents,
As happy as they should be..

And then just nearby I see something,
That just keeps chasing me..
A couple smooching behind a
Not so secluded tree..

I know I am gonna be alone,
I am making peace with me..
May be it is better this way,
To be independent and free..

O' lover, not everyone is as lucky,
As you are and will be..
But you won't bother understanding,
Because you are no more one like me..

No Complaints
GvSparx Mar 2014
He goes to office.
He reaches in time.
He does his work.
His boss doesn't
complain about him much.

He earns enough to pay
His bills,
His mother's  doctor.
His father doesn't
complain about him much.

He comes from office, late every night.
He cooks for himself, none else takes a bite.
He has delayed repairs to his obsolete bike.
He has complaints about his boss, father, mother.
No one truly cares about him much.

Party
GvSparx Mar 2014
People and people all around,
there is no one who would call my name aloud.
Many know, many don't,
would anyone accept me? No, one won't.

They talk, they laugh, they share,
I yearn for a little bit of care..
But who has got time to spare?
No one, no where.

I gaze at the girl I truly admire,
hoping for a hello or a pleasant smile.
She fleetingly saw me, or maybe she didn't,
But the very next moment, she embraced someone.

I smile and ask myself,
who am I befooling?
This is a world of glamour,
Extroverts are ruling..
