Love calls on the wind,
"I am love"

Love calls in the rain,
"I am love"

Love calls in the Sun,
"I am love"

Love calls in the heart,
"I am love"

Love calls in silence,
"I am love"

Love calls forever,
"I am Love"

I find myself in coffee shops
drinking down espresso shots,
in a haste,
in an attempt,
to rid the bitter sweet taste,
you left in my mouth,
and on the corners of my lips.

I write,

but I am not a poet

I feel emotions so intense
I spill them in ink across a page

but I am not a poet

I am forced to release thoughts
from my mind

but I am not a poet

my words are presented as I feel them
they do not make a poem

as I am not a poet

my senses view, smell, taste, hear and feel things
so differently from many

but I am not a poet

Phrases and images appear in my mind
I have to share these wondrous things

but I am not a poet

I am not sure what makes a poet.

This I will sit and quietly ponder,
reflect upon,
write about
because maybe,  just maybe

I am a poet

This was inspired by deovrat commenting that he is not a poet.  I never used to refer to myself as a poet and still see others saying the same.   I think we are!!!!!!
: )
How I wish to bathe in sleep
to keep my dreams in
waters deep
and swim through images so bleak
then wash them all
in waters deep.
A clean slate some would say is good,I'm
not so sure but if I could,
I'd wipe away the yesterdays,to gaze upon
a new blank page
and write on it a story new where
each chapter
would begin with you.

My eyes are closed
I cannot see,
this sleep forever eludes me
until I get to chapter three
and all becomes
what is,
will be.

Where once was laughter
now is silence,

I had a little secret
That was so little
Now I feel today that
I could not tell you yesterday

Tried and tried several times
You never gave me a chance to say,
my secret songs -
I tried and tried several times
I could not....
I could not.....

Sometimes I felt pain
When you were passing,
outside from my door
I tried and tried several times
I could not...
I could not....

Today, days has changed
I am paying price for my secret
May be, it could change my life
If I told you my secret,
the little secret

I was not caged but-
may be a shadow lied there
Now time is reverse
The secret is over
‘O’ I could not tell you my secret

A Secret …
A priceless secret
My little secret was secret
The secret is
I love you
and let me love -

Coal, graphite and diamond
All are elements of pure carbon
If you take a vote
I will go with graphite
Cause I am a writer -

graphite is the matter that we use to make pencil....
graphite means I write...

She chases the darkness,
Nothing, but darkness and her,
She sits there,
Darkness a blanket she can wear,
And she listens to the nothingness
that only the darkness allows;

And if she was still aware,
I'm sure she would get down on her knees
and Thank the darkness for the
Silence,
The Blessed Silence
that cocoons her now;

and when daylight comes,
she runs and hides,
hiding from the light that burns,
hiding from the pain and hiding
from the voices, the voices to loud,
and she waits for the sunset,
Eager to be spared.
then she's running again,
into the darkness,
back to the Nothingness
that the darkness allows.*

And if she was still aware,
I'm sure she would get down on her knees,
and Thank the darkness
for the Silence,
The Blessed silence
that cocoons her now.

The beauty of a woman
is in the poems she's wrote,
the dreams she's weaved
and all the stories she's told.

The beauty of a woman
is in the adventures she's taken,
the lives she's touched
and all the minds she's awakened.

The beauty of a woman
is in the caring she gives,
the sincerity in her laughter,
and the passion in her griefs.

It's not the expensive clothes she owns,
her body size, the diamonds she's worn.
Measure not the beauty of woman in gold,
for the beauty of a woman is reflected in her soul.
Dedicated to all women out there with an amazing mind and a beautiful soul. We are the gift of nature, soft enough to touch the core of others and strong enough to protect that and those important to us. I love you all. Believe in yourself and the world will believe in your power.

I'm honored to have it as the daily poem.

~

we have never loved until

with one we’ve shared our laughter’s song,

and wept upon our lover’s neck,

filled our cup with heaven’s wine,

and labored silently as one

to see brought out the other’s best;

that when our light on earth grows dim,

like setting sun our time has come,

with arms entwined one final time

we can say with fleeting breath,

“our treasure lies not in frail hands,

but beats forever in our breast.”
~

post script.

a dear co-worker's husband passed this weekend... 64 years of marriage is a very, very long time!

i watched a sunset tonight with my baby and heard her say, "honey, you know we're over half way there." i'd gladly go the rest of the way with her.

Gold at the end of the rainbow
Smoke flowing out of the fire
Rain falling from dark clouds
Washing away what's left of desire
True Red, bleeding out blood
True Blue, tears soaked through
Truly Purple, royal people,
Brains and thoughts all their own
Yet becoming more the unknown
Less in life, more in death
Gotta die,
Before someone hears your breath.
Words mean nothing
If their still here to write more
When they're gone
