My sisters have witchy feet.
Their words, not mine.
If someone else puts them down
I firmly draw the line.
When they are laughing,
Just because they are together,
The joy I hear from them
Seems to change the weather.

It might be chilly or gray
But today the clouds evaporate.
Inside it’s all warm and cozy,
And I do not exaggerate.
They manage to find something
That they can all laugh about
Even when that laughter rises
To the level of three sided shouts.

It usually starts when one dances
And turns it into a wiggle.
Then all three of them break out
In wild, uncontrollable giggles.
Or a memory will get triggered
Of something outrageous
And the laughter takes over.
It is immediately contagious.

I am always rewarded by this
Circus of the instantly absurd
That turns into the best of all
Sounds I have ever heard.
May I wish all of you have
What has happened to me;
To have such close members
Of our often silly family.

The people that come into our lives
do so for a reason
It may only be for a day or a month
or may just be for a season

But when two paths cross, no matter how brief
There's a lesson somewhere to be learned
It may be just that we're on the wrong path
and there's a corner that needs to be turned

It may be to teach us that we can still fly
and soar in the heavens above
or it may be a brief and torrid affair
to show us that we can still love

And maybe my words are speaking to you
and I'm part of some message you need
To show you the signs that surround you
so between the lines you can read.

What's left is what's underneath;
Living life between peaks of sanity.
Too lost to rediscover those thoughts;
In an instant, Humanity...

That's the thing about love, isn't it?
You learn that,
though the heart is in your chest,
it no longer beats for just you.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

My heart beats for Him.

I remember the scarlet taste
from biting my lips.
I remember the salty water,
that my eyes had dripped.
I remember the silent screams,
that had rang in my head.
But most of all, I remember
all those desperate words I never said.
I know I write a lot of poems on words. But it's because I feel so strongly about them! We could change the world if only we spoke more kindly to one another and said what needed to be said. Holding words in hurts too much anyway.

They say eyes never lie.
But how can I know,
when yours are always closed?
When you're always blocking out the world?
Never opening up, or risking being exposed?
How can I know,
if truth is what you speak?
when your eyes,
never tell a thing?
Don't really know where this came from...

She was a dimming ember.
And all she needed
was someone
to breath
a little life
into her.
So she could,
once again,
burn.
We are all little embers. Lets give each other life.

There is a man who loves me
I didn't know him
But still, he loves me

I pushed him away from me
But he's still here and he loves me

I didn't even believe what he's saying
But he encourages me and he loves me

I mocked him and judged him
But he looks at me with love for he does

I didn't listen him and wandered off
But he's still guiding me because he loves me

I didn't talk to him and I ignored him
But he's still waiting for me because he loves me

I lied, I cursed, I got angry, I sinned
Despite all that, he loves me still

I turned my back against him
But he still got my back because he loves me

I'm selfish, hot-tempered, proud and stubborn
But he still cares for me because he loves me

I ignored him, ignored him and ignored him
But he's always there for me because he loves me

So I asked...

Who is this man who loves me?

Who is this man who loves me inspite of and despite?

Who is this man who loves me still?

And I got a reply...

He is the man who died for love

The man who lived to die for you

The man who died for his love for you.

Then he asked me back...

Where else can you get a love like this?

You aren't worthy of his love, but he still gave it to you.

Isn't he worthy enough to be loved back?

Won't you love him back?

In the lines around my mouth,
You could read two different stories.
They could've come from a smile.
Or quite possibly from a frown.
But honestly you'll never know,
Unless, you brave the risk,
       Of coming to me alone,
and asking me yourself.

Sometimes- sometimes there are people that come into our lives who have us thinking that they're both the moon and the sun. We believe they must be part of some greater light that has the ability to fill those dark cracks in our hearts- our very beings, blinding us with their glory... But they aren't.
Actually, they're were just dust that got swept into our eyes, making everything blurry and more difficult to see. Causing our blindness. And, all that time, they were really just filling our cracks with cobwebs.
So, darling, let them go.
You don't need them to fill the vacancy anymore.
Don't hold onto people who aren't really there for you.
You deserve better. More.
