beth fwoah dream
shadows on the water,
locks of hair in pendants,
love still remembered
though the tide is now
withered like summer grass.

I Am the thing that dwells through your
Eyes,
Telling you sweet things
To keep your spirits up,
To help you be strong,
I Am your consciousness making you run
Arons into the dark corners,
A causable fling,
With two celebrated sports cups,
Hoping you'd get along,
Take care of yourself,
Be good to yourself,
Be alone with yourself.

I woke up feeling morning pain
Another barroom brawl
I didn't make my bed last night
I slept out in the hall

I made it to the correct floor
I just couldn't find my keys
I can't keep living life like this
Can someone help me please?

I'm sick of empty promises
Every bottle seems to be
An enigma in a riddle
And they all keep calling me
I'm sick of empty promises
And of bottles holding dreams
My life's an Escher painting,
So, it seems

Different bars, the same result
I always wake up ******
Sunday Morning Sunshine hurts
and I'm always here alone

I am tired of the drinking
Of the searching, of the fight
But, I end up every morning
Still feeling like last night

I'm sick of empty promises
Every bottle seems to be
An enigma in a riddle
And they all keep calling me
I'm sick of empty promises
And of bottles holding dreams
My life's an Escher painting,
So, it seems

I wake up in dark back alleys
And if I make it home at all
I end up in the stairway
Sleeping, curled up in a ball

I'm not looking for redemption
Just a way to stop the sounds
Of the bottled empty promises
Before I'm in the ground

I'm sick of empty promises
Every bottle seems to be
An enigma in a riddle
And they all keep calling me
I'm sick of empty promises
And of bottles holding dreams
My life's an Escher painting,
So, it seems

Mother nature would be pleased
At the way we cut her trees,

Fascinated with the way
We bring machines to her domain,
That's a shame,
We bring her to shame,
Leaving her in pain,
Why do you do that?

You can't survive in the wilderness alone anyway,
if you want some shelter tonight ,I'd advise you stay,
You can't survive in the wilderness alone anyway,
people don't wanna die alone nowadays,

Sometimes we can't replace
All the things we take away,

Replacing nerves but
Can't take away the pain,
Must be a game ,
To you,
Maybe to gain fame,
Making love ones feel the strain,
Why do you do that?

You can't survive in the wilderness alone anyway,
if you want some shelter tonight ,I'd advise you stay,
You can't survive in the wilderness alone anyway,
people don't wanna die alone nowadays.

Cleaning out the gutters of my mind,
Don't wanna be cornered,
I'm just thinking you keep wasting more time,
If anyone is considered,
Judging me if I ever get out line,
But I just rendered,
I am not anyone's guinea pig!
Putting me in positions I can't handle,
You're a mess,
These tests and my background dismantled,
A hell of a quest,
Couple blocks down near Rockwell's,
Your at your best,
Never had secrets I had to tell,
Never had them on my chest,
I am not anyone's guinea pig!
Kept wondering what was next,
Writer's block left me stuck,
Remember when I use to have threats from my ex,
And I just had to give her up,
Hickies all over my neck,
I'm just feeling so corrupt,
And even when your at your best,
And you just wanna change it up,
You're not anyone's guinea pig!

I lay medallions on your heart love,
Even in your dreams are the witch club,
Like the craft,
You're the one I can perform on,
No better time than tonight,
Especially when there's nothing wrong,

I,
Can,
Be,
Your savior when your world is gone,
Every useless brick by brick,
We'll rebuild a new love song,

∆I want your magic,
I love you madness like Alice,
The *** is heaven,
Let's get buried in our sins,
Tonight!!!!!!!!!!
Alright!!!!!!!!!!
Just let it happen,
In a nice timely fashion,
We count to seven,
Then the Adventure Begins,
Tonight!!!!!!!!!!
Alright!!!!!!!!!!!∆

I lay medallions on your heart love.

Your savior when your world is gone.

Way down south
beneath the line
where stories muddle up
with time
there are some trees

leaves of green
and flowers white
decorate the
southern night
from these trees

branches marked
but not by time
burned out by
jute and knotted twine
from these trees

close your eyes
and think when
these trees
were weapons of the men
these trees

nothing grows
out from the root
of these trees
no strange fruit
on these trees

once the fruit
that hung up here
filled many folks
with mortal fear
of these trees

not apples, pears
grow here today
and no strange fruit
of Billie Holliday...
grow on these trees

I knew there was no sure way to fight the addiction in his memories.  Not without interference of what his memories remember.  Doing so could alter his memory in such a way that it would not be remembered correctly and could be forgotten forever without ever being able to access the original memory.  In his sleep state galaxies are created for a short time.  These are known as dreams.  During such time all memories scramble and form moments that the sleeping mind experiences. Although not real the mind has to do such a duty in order to make the brightest of memories shine forever.  To store away light that can be used for another time.  This is where I can attack the addiction! In his dreams.  He will see it as just a dream and feel as though it is no memory at all.  And so the dream begins.

The dream is of a grand dead tree in the middle of a green field. There sitting against the tree was a shadow child with a white mask on.  The mask had the face of me.  This sent a terror down my spine for some reason.  The child spoke in two voices. " Will you play with me."  He held a ball made of pale light that seem to have a spiral of darkness at its center. He threw the ball at me and I caught it.  I held it in both my hands as the spiral of darkness seem to call to me. I then heard beautiful song notes being sung from the sky.  My celestial star owls broke me out of the trance.  I then threw the pale light ball away as the child shadow screamed in anger.  It threw off its mask and went into a hole in the tree.  It screamed louder and louder while inside as the dead tree begin to grow leaves made of darkness and pale light.  The sky turned red and the grass yellow.  This dream had become a nightmare!

I'd like to be your soldier,
twitching at the feet,
I wanna write you letters,
Then one day we'll meet,
scratch that ! Let's be honest,
I wouldn't hurt a fly,
unless I'm unconscious,
together we will die,

I wanna write so many things about you,
Beauty and all things love, comes up about you,
I could never remove or replace you,
I obssess you,
Baby ill stalk you,
If I could I would make a billboard out of you,
A statue out of you,
Then crash it all down with a tank too,
You give a sweet tooth,
For a preview,
If it's see through,
In a cheap pool,

I'd like to be your soldier,
twitching at the feet,
I wanna write you letters,
Then one day we'll meet,
scratch that ! Let's be honest,
I wouldn't hurt a fly,
unless I'm unconscious,
together we will die,

I'd like to be your soldier,
twitching at the feet,
I wanna write you letters,
Then one day we'll meet,
scratch that ! Let's be honest,
I wouldn't hurt a fly,
unless I'm unconscious,

I’m a shadow in the blackest night
You won’t see me walking by
A whisper where there is no light
Under dark and moonless sky.

A graveyard after midnight
An alley off a silent street
A universe devoid of light
Where truth and darkness meet.

Come with me, friend, and lover
Hear the blackness all around
Together we’ll discover
How to cry without a sound.

I will walk you through the dangers
And through years of deathless void
Let us kiss the necks of strangers
Thus more human life destroyed.

We cross our hearts and hope to die,
We cross our fingers and tell no lies,
No stories,
No wise tales,
We prosper and prevail,
We proceed to serve society,
Abide by our parents,
Obey the school rules,
The way it intended,
Its apparent,
We love fantasies,
And we love dreams,
We adore peaches and cream,
And we like bird and bees,
As long as they buzz,
You can have a husband,
And get married living with his cousin,
You can be a doctor or maybe a lawyer,
You tell a nickel from dime and a quarter,
You can be a rockstar traveling the world,
You can inspire every little boy and girl,
You can make a living,
You can do whatever you wanna do,
As long as you be an angel,
And be you.

Land is disappearing
ok, farms to be exact
swallowed up by cities
they're gone, and that's a fact
developers are buying
what the farmers now will sell
for the subdivision builders
who are waiting at the well

standing in a parking lot
of what used to be a farm
I remember corn and animals
and I remember a red barn
now, it is a big box store
selling food from somewhere else
grown in little laboratories
from little dishes on a shelf

there used to be a farm right here
a place that grew our food
we knew what we were buying
now we don't and we are *******
the big box stores keep coming
and they're starting to intrude
we once had farms and churches
now we don't and we are *******

I remember driving out of town
twenty minutes at the most
you'd pass by at least four farms
now the farmland is the host
to development and wind farms
No parks, just urban sprawl
no fields of cows and horses
just another **** strip mall

There used to be a farm here
it was sold to pay the tax
it was auctioned off in silence
behind the farmers backs
no more farms or farmers
no more barns with painted names
just big houses with no back yards
where you don't know your neighbors names

there used to be a farm right here
a place that grew our food
we knew what we were buying
now we don't and we are *******
the big box stores keep coming
and they're starting to intrude
we once had farms and churches
now we don't and we are *******

The bus pulled up and I got on

It was empty, 'cept for two

A lady sitting at the front

And a man all dressed in blue

The lady sat in front alone

Her parcels by her side

The man, he stood alone in back

And I got on for my ride.

The sign in front said "Do Not Smoke"

Capacity...that's blurry

I couldn't see it from where I sat

But, I was in no hurry

I walked on up, to check it out

And read the aged old sign

It said "seating room is 63"

And standing ...twenty nine

I reached my stop and I got off

Not thinking much I guess.

But that man was still way in the back

And that lady in her dress

Was motionless up in the front,

Her parcel by her side

They hadn't moved since I got on

And it was an hour ride

Others joined us on the bus

But all were gone before

There was just these two,  still motionless

When I walked out the door.

Each day for weeks I rode this bus

And each day,  like before

The lady sat down front alone

And the man, behind the door

It never made much sense to me

He never changed his spot

It was if he were a sentinel

To guard this bus...his lot

One day I asked the driver

Why he never did sit down

He said "You must be new here"

"You can't be from this town"

I said "Why did that matter?"

He just laughed and looked at me

"It's never gonna change here"

"There's a certain courtesy"

I didn't understand him

And he never put forth more

So, I went on down the bus aways

And I sat  just by the door

I passed my stop and rode a while

While others filtered through

Then all at once the lady rose

Followed by the man in blue

She left out front, him through the back

And it left me there alone

Well, except for the old driver

So, I rode around to home

I saw as we drove past them

On our return route down the Strand

The lady and The Man in Blue

Were walking, holding hands

I thought "What gives?, they sit apart"

She forward, him in back

Now here they are together

They're a train on the same track

I asked the driver to explain

This sight that I had seen

He said "Just wait a minute"

"And it won't seem so extreme"

He stopped the bus and came to me

And he walked past the back door

"See that faded line there miss"

As he pointed to the floor

I looked real close and there it was

It was a line in pastel blue

"Now, listen here's some history"

"This is something new to you"

"Way back when, a lifetime back"

"Segregation ruled the land"

"You didn't mix outside your race"

"You would never understand"

"The line there on the floor shows"

"Where the buses made their mark"

"The white folks stood on the drivers side"

"And the back was for the dark"

"skinned folks who rode with us"

"I know it don't sound fair"

"But that's the wasy it was back then"

"I know, 'cause I was there"

"This couple...they confuse you"

"Her in front and him in back"

"Did you ever stop and notice"

"She is white and he is black?"

"But, that's not the way things are today"

I said, still unsure of these two

He said "I know, my dear"

"But this way's all they knew"

"They've been a pair for twenty years"

"They've rode this bus for more"

"When he first rode, it was so bad"

"He came through the back door"

"He couldn't get on through the front"

"They wouldn't let him pass"

"In fact once some one threatened"

"him, they would soak him down with gas"

"So he went on back, through the back door"

"And then he crossed that line"

"And he's been doing so for sixty years"

"He's done it all this time"

"I never charge them to get on"

"I charge them when they leave"

I said "I don't see them pay"

He smiled and scratched his sleeve

"I never charge them money"

"No, that just would not be right"

"I tell them to just get safe home"

"And  to have a lovely night"

"The next day when they board the bus"

"She smiles and looks at me"

"And as I look down to the back"

"I smile...and so does he"

"I know that it is different"

"But down here, it was the way"

"And this white girl and this black man"

"helped to show me shades of grey"

"He'll always ride in back there"

"And she'll be in front with me"

"But, you know that they're so happy"

"And that's why they ride for free"
