 Dec 2018 Hello Daisies
Astral
When I was a child,
I was taught poetry wasn't mild,
It was deep as the sea,
And it seemed truly unachievable for me.
I was taught poetry had to rhyme,
Every single line, every single time.
So poetry seemed out of my reach,
Like chasing a seagull down a beach,
Jumping ever so slightly away,
Or soaring into the sunny day.

So I never thrived for what I thought would,
No, Could
Never be.

I guess now I'm fixing the mistakes of past me.

Sonya
Hiding all alone
Behind frozen fallen trees
It's right behind you
Crow’s nest in the tree
Precariously nestled
Breeze rocks chicks to sleep
 Dec 2018 Hello Daisies
Iska
You feel like fire to me.
All warm and beautiful
With the ability to
Burn
Me
Alive
Mesmerizing to behold
As you dance around with a
glittering spark in your eyes
As you always seem to
Draw
Me
In
And entice me to dance with you.
So beautiful in your destruction
With the ability to burn away the darkest of nights.
Take me to the night where we could see each other's hearts,
Building stories and
Precious memories,
Making fun of heartbreaks.

Take me to the night where we are under the stars,
Telling us that we are young and in love,
With the cold breeze that whispers,
Take the risk and make it worthwhile.

Take me to that night and unveil our flaws,
Make our own universe
Vivid and recklessly
Take me, eternally.
To my future companion ❤️
