 Dec 2018 Hello Daisies
Max
Just a little poet
Who's always afraid to
Show it.

But then I met you.
Sometimes I was scared to show my poems, but then I met her and she said she was proud of me, and I felt way better:)

Astral
He was kind,
Funny,
Cute.
He had done some things,
He'd messed up,
But nonetheless,
He was him.

She wasn't special
Or worth his time,
She'd messed up.

He said he loved her,
But it wasn't true.

And before they could even make a move,
She knew he lied.

So they left it there,
Untouched.

She remembered,
But she wished to forget.

He'd moved on,
After all, lies don't last.

One day maybe,
She'll forget.

One day maybe,
He'll remember.
 Dec 2018 Hello Daisies
Lily
I remember the evening
that we sat clinging
to paper cups
of coffee gone cold

over secrets spilled and memories told
two bodies cursed
with hearts grown old

behind your eyes
I found new worlds
A winding road stretched out for miles
to a small cafe at the end of the isle

Sweet pastries filled the mouths
of those who sat beside us
and stayed for a while.

How the hours went by,
people just passing through
The descending sun ending
a forever with you.
it took me a while to realize
this isn’t normal
most people don’t wake up
feeling sick
they don’t have to plan when to eat
to avoid throwing up

i avoided help for so long
because i could handle the pain
but i spent so many days
huddled in a ball trying to keep my guts
from liquidating
i guess i still avoid help
because this constant
day-in-day-out pain
seems like it’ll never end
The morning fast approaching
Leaves no time behind,
Just as gravity’s keep has swayed
Yet another tides the day.

Jaxey
it is 11:59 PM
and i love you

and i don't know about you
but in one minute
when a new day begins
when wifes are questioning
where their husbands are
when the city awakens
for their nightly mistakes
and late night distractions spiral
in minds of regret
i will be thinking of you

and if it's possible
i think i will love you even more
than i did one whole minute before
I love you

Joy
In the early dew I see a world reflected
A living sphere of possibilities
And as a new days sun traverses the horizon
Joy is born within its gleams of golden red
Breathing in the crisp morning breezes
I watch the day warm. Another day has begun.
