Melting
Rochelle Bourque Apr 2018
The song of spring is in the wind,
The smell of rain heavy in the air.
What once was frozen solid,
Now breaths life into the soul.

Born from hope and desperate dreams,
The bright rays of life infiltrate the skies.
Rising from death and growing strong,
Enchanting green joins the living.

Returning peace to the once restless,
Warmth to the cold.
Winter is finally leaving,
The snow finally melting.

Tomorrow
Rochelle Bourque Jan 2017
Bright colours fill my vision,
Soft music flows in the air.
A light breeze brushes against my skin,
The gentle warmth of the sun welcoming.

Letting go of past conflicts,
Holding on to the good memories.
Stepping away from what used to be,
Gaze set towards a new tomorrow.

I am being reborn,
A new dawn is rising.
Taking deep breath,
I jump.

Until We Meet Again
Rochelle Bourque Dec 2016
Meeting you must've been destiny,
Your bright smile lighting up my world.
The moment you entered my life,
It became so much more worthwhile.

We spent many summer days together,
Long nights talking about the world.
Winters spent wrapped up in blankets,
Enjoying each others company.

I wish I could go back with what I knew now,
Prevented many regretful mistakes.
I wish I let you know what I was thinking,
That I could have told you the truth.

I was in love with you,
You were the world to me.
But you had to leave me behind,
So I will keep my thoughts in mind.

Until we meet again.

Winter
Rochelle Bourque Nov 2016
Cold.
The crisp air on my face,
The crunchy snow beneath my feet.

Dark.
The sun impossibly far away,
The streets seemingly deserted.

Isolated.
Hiding from the rest of humanity,
Remembering a time of warmth.

Numb.
Eternally waiting for spring,
Waiting to feel alive.

Falling
Rochelle Bourque Dec 2015
Drifting down,
From the heavens above.
Neither an end,
Nor a beginning.

Bringing peace,
And tranquility.
To those who watch,
And wait.

Listen,
And you'll hear their song.
Quiet and undisturbed,
Forever patient.

Just look to the sky,
There you'll see.
The little snowdrops,
That forever sing to me.

Stormy weather
Rochelle Bourque Apr 2015
The earth trembles,
Trees shake from their vary roots,
A flash cuts through the sky,
Wind carries a grunt of god, himself.

Children crying,
Dogs barking,
Sound can be heard from every direction,
White as paper is everyone's complexion.

Silence follows,
An eerie feeling sets in,
Waiting for another,
Listening carefully.

Is it the end?
Or shall it continue?
Can people finely rest?
Or are we forever doomed?

Change of Heart
Rochelle Bourque Feb 2015
Something is wrong,
I feel it inside,
Whenever I express myself,
You run and hide.

I do not no why,
You used to be so kind,
Have you lost interest?
Have you changed your mind?

With all we have been through,
And with all we have seen,
You're never here anymore,
I'm wondering where you've been.

Is this the end?
I guess that just depends,
I still love you,
But you just want to be friends.

You & I
Rochelle Bourque Feb 2015
If I was an apple,
You'd be my tree,

If I was a bee,
You'd be my pollen

If I was the earth,
You'd be my sun.

As you can see,
I need you,

Although I'd never tell,

I love you.

Drifting
Rochelle Bourque Feb 2015
Drifting softly,
Like a cloud in the sky,
Going with the flow,
Feeling extremely fly.

No destination,
Just passing by,
No obligation,
Not even a suite or tie.

Following the wind,
Following the rain,
Just keep moving,
Ignore the pain.

So what? You're alone,
There's no need to feel shy,
Don't look back now,
There's a chance you might cry.

Endlessly drifting,
Does that mean you're alone?
Forever moving,
Never to meet someone.

Maybe staying wouldn't hurt,
There's a chance at a life,
Having a home,
And maybe becoming a wife.

Drifting is nice,
But only for awhile,
It then becomes lonely,
And you can't walk another mile.

In the end,
Find a place to call your own,
Look for your own castle,
And make yourself a throne.

Regret
Rochelle Bourque Feb 2015
Believe me,
I know it's hard,
Trust me,
Let down your guard.

Open up,
Let me in,
Smile for me,
Give me a toothy grin.

Please don't turn away,
I need you now,
Don't hang me out to dry,
I will take a vow.

To never hurt,
To never forget,
To never lie,
To never threat.

Just for you,
I'll change my ways,
Just for you,
Now, please stay.

Sleeping
Rochelle Bourque Feb 2015
Eyes are closed,
Mind is at peace,
Hair is hanging loosely,
Covering my cheek.

Dreaming sweet dreams,
Not wanting to wake up,
Believing in such things,
That were just made up.

Once again,
Day breaks through,
Eyes begin to open,
And light shines through

The Harsh Reality
Rochelle Bourque Nov 2014
I feel with my heart,
Though you must think I'm strange,
I feel with my heart,
Yet yours is locked away.

I feel with my heart,
But even now it slowly breaks,
I feel with my heart,
And I wonder if I made a big mistake.

I feel with my heart,
Now it slowly crumbles to dust,
I felt with my heart,
Now I feel with only lust.

I felt with my heart,
I now know that it was a mistake,
I felt with my heart,
And now we are the same.

Dispair
Rochelle Bourque Nov 2014
Cold and unfeeling,
The future seems freezing,
You left me alone,
Now there's no place to call home.

You said you would never leave,
Now I'm like dust on your sleeve,
Just brush me off,
And leave me with but a scoff.

Don't look back now,
You're such a bleeping cow,
Don't look at me with those pitying eyes,
You were the one who fed me lies.
