the lovers took a warm bath
they laved each others skin
their many tactile expressions
were stimulating
already we're feeling its nearing
summer's heat will be so searing*
the scorch being hotter than hell's fire
of which we'll not have a desire

our frames limp from devil rays
beating down in tinder like affrays
where the sun's cooking won't expire
long days of uncomfortable ire

how we'll enjoy a breeze cool
coming to suppress the flame's  sool
it will be so nice of transpire
as we close on the warmer shire

already we're feeling its nearing
*as we close on the warmer shire
there on the far flung shores
of North Carolina
lives a man
who seeks
a female's companionship
his fireside
for so long
has been absent of a flame
every waking moment of the day
he yearns for a gal's
abiding affections
yet the cold winds
of joylessness
at night
e'er prevail in his bed
alone he contemplates
as the tides ebb and flow
when will I be loved
by a woman
of warming glow
warped image
contorted of shape

blurred the focus
not quite correct

bingo good view
seeing better
what he's all about
here's an unusual
request
that was made of the
ladies
who are guests at the
domain
could you send
by express mail
a pair of cotton or lace *******
to be worn
on a manly tail

I thought to myself
the cost of sending my bloomers
would be far too expensive
as postage fees
are going
up
up
up
all
the
time

several ladies did oblige
and dispatched
their girdles and suspender belts
for the said man's tail
which so delighted
the undergarment gatherer's
warped rail
#mail  #undergarments  #*******  #satire
on the field of battle
blood soaked youth lay
their once sparkling eyes
extinguished in gunshot spray

men who gave command
wear no blemishing mark
yet these dreadful deeds
defy description so stark

war is wretchedly vivid
numerous are history's columns
mankind learns few lessons
war is ever solemn
lamenting songs are sung
for the fallen men
on shores far flung

their mournful strains
e'er permeate the air
with sorrowful refrains

the miasma of war's stench
stays imprinted on the memory
of valorous men dying
in the rat infested trenches of Gallipoli

at the going down of the sun
our hearts shall recall
the soldiers of courage
who expired in war's ghastly pall
the washing and ironing must be done very soon
as there is a pile of it which reaches to the moon
a couple of hours doing laundry duties shall clear the pile away
then one can have a truly relaxing Sunday
Washington needs to wash Obama out of its hair
he's doing more damage the longer he is there
the hair strands are in need of new management
for under Obama they've received much torment

an improvement to the locks will be extra nice
as Washington gets rid of the Obama device
the Congress and Senate can do the shampooing job
which will see the Pres quickly given the fob

Washington will have a lustrous sheen to the tress
when the hairdressers get onto the mess
now is the time to employ good methodology
by washing Washington's hair with ousting technology
eating watermelon
is a dripping thing
as the liquid in it
runs down your chin
young lassies near and far
were subjected to looking
at his personal bar

he'd stage the exhibits
on mobile phone devices
all those groinal tid-bits

exposing his wares
in a devil may care way
of indecency to the eyes
he'd frequently flay

on a particular poetry forum
the fellow can be found
advertizing his kit bag
so unedifyingly around

a sixty year old man
would in time be
getting a nab
for putting out there
his wayward

somewhere inside
the Ohio state
law authorities
will pinpoint
the repugnant gate
the webmaster is rarely if
ever seen at the
site
to fix things that aren't
working quite
right

the writers send him emails
about items that need
repair
but he doesn't reply to them
nor seems to much
care

the site hasn't been functioning
well for some period of
time
which has the appearance of
a negligence
crime

the webmaster must be
extending the length of his
holiday
thereby leaving the writers
in a high and dry
way
webs were spun
in a tangle
each spider adding
more to the ravel
gossamer threads
all confused*
quite interesting
was this muse
others were invited
into the spinning hub
after a time
crowding
took place
which resulted in
a fractious stir
the once happy
web builders
couldn't get along
their community
dissolved
on the intertwisting

wedding bells peal o'er
the world to-day
they peal in such an
exuberant way

pealing for the bride
and groom
who'll be partnered
to love's bloom

pealing of devotion's
everlasting bliss
the beauty of a warm
loving kiss

pealing a nuptial
togetherness
the sharing of a close
love fondness

pealing
pealing
pealing
an amplified sound
pealing
pealing
pealing
a joyous resound

wedding bells peal o'er
the world to-day
they peal in such an
exuberant way
The poem was inspired by wedding bells, that were pealing a few days ago.
wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness

matrimony a blessing of enduring love
a troth gifted by the Lord up above
choirs of birds shall sing of devotion
as the wedded couple bind in adoration

wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness

the sacred vows of love ever entwining
holding through the years of shining
love's sweet bloom flourishing so bright
in a divine accord of special delight

wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness

a life time of endearments they'll share
beginning on the nuptial day so fair
a kiss of blissfulness sealing the oneness
between the couple in true togetherness

wedding bells peal o'er the dales to-day
they peal in a most exuberant way
their pealing tells of endless happiness
which shall last with much gleefulness
I just love when the
weekend comes around
one can forget about the
alarm clock's sound

the extra sleeping time on
Saturday and Sunday morn
is something to savour
as those days are born

work commitments can
have a good rest
cause I'm not at the
employer's behest

the hours now count
down till the weekend
where I shall be in
an idling trend
a crumbling of the floor's cement*
all pieces shall not stay welded
splintering bits in discontent
the plaster no longer melded

all pieces shall not stay welded
unity's oneness going awry
the plaster no longer melded
this being an unhappy fish to fry

unity's oneness going awry
each person in the deck breaks rank
this being an unhappy fish to fry
all of their cohesion well sank

each person in the deck breaks rank
on seeing a leader's madness
all of their cohesion well sank
they'll wake up to ego's badness

on seeing a leader's madness
the plaster no longer melded
they'll wake up to ego's badness
*all pieces shall not stay welded
by spending money
on continuous warfare
the empire didst fall
it ate up its cash supply
until there wasn't a cent left

Empires of the past
had also done the same thing
yet America
ignored history's lesson
that should've of been well heeded
how a person's
perceptions can alter
and see another
in a different light
a perspective unclouded
is one of truth
being situated
in a brighter surround
shows the other person
to be ever so fake
a plastic imitation
not the genuine article
is she
no not at all
hindsight has shed
a fresh perspective
the microscope
detailed
what she was like
many moons ago
her sham line
got swallowed
without question
but to-day
her fraudulent persona
is well illuminated
no pacifying
the hurricane's bane
she is a potent
destructive thrashing train
all before her
shall be flattened
as a tabletop
she'll damage
house and hearth
with her viciousness
Sandy
bears down
Sandy
is riled up
Sandy
will exact a toll
she is a pitiless
hurricane
well out of control
I wrote this poem after seeing the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy's destruction.
she's not averse
to plunging
the dagger
implement
it's become
her most favored
piece of
equipment

deeply penetrating
the flesh of the back
always employing this form
of unguarded attack

her relish
for keen steel
out of control
ever she's
wanting to pierce
a hole

jab after jab
**** after ****
lunging with the
well sharpened rod
we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will
we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will

a firm prop I'll be for you
and in turn you'll prop me up too
ain't that a deal
just made for we two

we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will
we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will

we two hanging together
our prop defying all kinds of weather
the deal suiting us just fine
we'll stick it out in the rain and sunshine

we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will
we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will

my unwavering prop for you
and yours for me
that's a deal sealed with
an iron clad guarantee

we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will
we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will

our deal being lifelong
we two melding ever so strong
a perpetual pact
that just can't go wrong

we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will
we'll strike a deal
oh yes we will
was his preference to adopt
a concealing type of name
so he'd not be discovered
in the ******* game

but an incognito title
didn't fool one little bit
for his depraved posts
showed a ******* skit

he'd groomed children
all over the world globe
who were innocent victims
of his deviant robe

he'd been suspected
of carnal exploitation
which he did perform
without any hesitation

were his computer files
to be checked by cops
they'd reveal him as
being well tainted slops
the shine is already
fast fading on
him
shortly there will be
no gloss to his
trim

the people have recognized
that realization
light
whereby they've quickly learnt
he's not terribly
bright

as time marches on
all his glint will be stripped
away
leaving but a well
tarnished man's
display
the local lads
put in a good showing
at the regional
bowling championships
though they were defeated
they played exceptionally well
John won three ends in his match
but his opponent from Armidale
had a better game on the day
he sent many a fine shot
towards the jack

the tournament
was well organized
and all the participants
were able to wet their whistles
on time
when they went to the championships
last year
they all complained about
being kept on the greens
for ages
and none of them
got a beer
until well after
five thirty

as the old bowlers adage goes
it is better to be well up
than too short
the election campaign is at the mid-way point
and news poll says it's Abbott we'll anoint
Rudd's electioneering hasn't sparked much interest
of his expensive policies the voters want to divest

soon we'll be turning off the Labor Party's light
we've had an adequate sufficiency of their blight
installing the Liberals in parliament will put things right
we've tired of the present governments turbulent flight

the nation's finances have quickly dwindled away
none of the Labor mob saved a penny for a rainy day
our finances are in need of some urgent attention
at least the Liberals are into monetary retention

there is a feeling that change is going to take place
which shall give the nation a fresh Prime Ministerial face
we are desirous of a policy direction which is sound
for the past five years there's been precious little of it around

to be shod of Rudd and his Labor cohorts shall be grand
they've not governed the country with a very reliable hand
we're chomping at the bit for the September seven date
then we'll send a ballot message to Abbott we want you mate
a man from England
took me from my homeland
you could say England
is in possession of contraband

in pieces I was shipped away
to a foreign port-side bay
at a place of note I now lay
awaiting a homecoming hooray

I've caused a bit of tension
due to the Pommies keeping me in detention
they are wanting an extension
to hold me in lasting retention

oft the cultural treasures of a country
are pilfered by another country
my rock is alabaster of shade
by fine craftsmen I was made

under the Hellenic sun is where I belong
I've resided in England for too long
it is small and has
a coat of fur
on this fact we'll
all concur

a dozen or more
were kept at the lab facility
where a researcher  was
testing their reasoning capability

these animals are prolific
breeders
they're extra-ordinary
off spring seeders

they can be problematic
to growers of grain
many years ago there was
an infestation on the western plain

if you see them running
around your house
you'll say unto yourself
them critters ain't grouse
sometimes it will be
seen with others of its
sort
and sometimes it
is seen without any of its
sort

the American Indians
have befriended
it
as they've felt an
affinity with
it

you might get a shiver
down your
spine
if you hear the sound
that it will
mine

it is an animal of great
intelligence
and it also has a watchful
diligence

from the prairies
to the snow
country
it will tread a path
on their
territory
We're at the point of almost melting
Hellish heatwave is most sweltering
All of us getting an absolute baking
Thermostats are all upwardly rising

Abundant solar activity is happening

Skin on our faces akin to pork crackling
Copious amount of water we're drinking
Our sweaty brows are in need of mopping
Relief from the heat we're always seeking
Cool locales like long verandah shading
Hades is where us folks are now dwelling
Endless hours of excessively high temperatures
Reductions in these would be such a pleasure
it hasn't been sighted
in these rounds of  late
and it's not likely to
turn up at a future date

some folk who belong
to the bird watching league
believe that its species
who'd hold much intrigue

it was known for not
having an air born wing
it is quite possible it wasn't
able to operate the **** thing

a pigeon is its closest
living kin
but a pigeon wouldn't
fit into its skin

when answering the
riddle be succinct
or I'll render your
response extinct
everyone who is eligible
shall fill out a card on this day
and they'll be hoping that it
is directed in the appropriate way

there's been a bit of noise
being made about postal ones
and the person who is in charge
of the mail was put under the gun

on the day there will be either
a congratulation or a commiseration
and people will hear of it throughout
the breadth of the nation

who'll get the tick of approval
to do the job
which entails leading the country's
large mob

soon the day will arrive
on the scene
so says the calendar's
Tuesday screen
there was a lot of love
in this decade
the people joined
a peace parade

the air was filled
with an upbeat atmosphere
the flower children
were on a higher sphere

tunes started to sound
like they'd been set free
the musicians weren't
bound by a formalized key

fashion underwent
a considerable change
whereupon the beaded
look wasn't so strange

may these scant clues
aid all of you
in finding what decade
I'm taking you to
is it okay for a poet to write a poem
about something that they've been told by another person
the persons name they'll never use
to protect that persons identity
I always thought a poet could write on a subject of their choosing
what do you think?
the ear doesn't listen
as such
for it isn't into
listening too much

you'll find this ear
out in a field
and it will have
a husk like shield

if you know what
ear I'm referring to
I'd like to hear
from you

the ear may well
be
the hero of the
cob's tee

now this ear clue
is the final one
the ear will be
basking in the sun
the cat has gone missing, where oh where did he go
the cat has gone missing, where oh where did he go
tis not his style to take off, he's a home-body
tis not his style to take off, he's a home-body
where oh where did he go, tis not his style to take off
he's a home-body, the cat has gone missing

could he be in a tree, sussing out a bird
could he be in a tree, sussing out a bird
what is he up to, one must go looking for him
what is he up to, one must go looking for him
what is he up to, could he be in a tree
sussing out a bird, one must go looking for him

**** never ventures far, I hope he'll return
**** never ventures far, I hope he'll return
Mr Webb may have sighted him, during the day
Mr Webb may have sighted him, during the day
I hope he'll return, during the day
**** never ventures far, Mr Webb may have sighted him

the cat has gone missing, one must go looking for him
where oh where did he go, could he be in a tree
**** never ventures far, tis not his style to take off
Mr Webb may have sighted him, sussing out a bird
I hope he'll return, during the day
he's a home-body, what is he up to
there are seven components
within its composition
and they'll all lie
on a defined position

once it was thought
you'd fall off it
and land in an abyss's
deep pit

many people have moved
around its ball
and they've found that
its vistas would enthrall

some did want to own
big parts of its beat
yet they didn't achieve
the oyster's feat

those guys and gals
who know what it is about
now have the opportunity
to shout it out
copious stories
are told about it
and it is of a floating
figure's fit

on one of them
coming into your view
it may give you a
shivering chill's preview

it can be loitering
on a dark stairway
waiting to unnerve
your very clay

dare you walk into
the old mason's yard
for there's a phantom
inside the said yard

Vincent Price can readily
evoke a scream
as his voice lends its self
to such a deem
we do it throughout
the night and
day
if we didn't we wouldn't
see our next
day

are you conscious of it
at the present
time
or are your thoughts
trained on another
chime

it inflates both of the chambers
quite
well
and after it does that it
will
expel

shallow and deep
are varieties of
it
so can you put
a finger on
it
ruminating
                  cogitating
                                  pondering
                                                  thinking

the subject matter doth
put the mind into a thought seat
is there sufficient verbs for me
to place on the paper's sheet

verbs by definition are words
which have an action
they on the reader
do have an impaction

so let's explore a topic
worth a thousand of them
how I'll express this piece
shall test my mind's stem

here is the matter I shall discuss
without any duress or manner of fuss

all over the globe there is much trouble
our planet is not as a carefree bubble
the inhabitants often observe strife somewhere
our corners of four not of an according air

were there to be peace and calmed relations
no concerns would beset our world's many nations
yet a propensity for war doth  ever prevail
what sane men shall see the wrongs of this pail

verbs shall never explain man's idiocy
as he's ever involving himself in armory
yet a man who did advocate cordiality
lived with his brothers in true harmony

he was a meek man of the Indian land
a message of non-violence he did band
the lessons of history are never heard
man seemingly ever in the warring herd

the middle east is a tinder box of hell this day
exploding bombs and munitions all spray in affray
verbs of dialogue aren't put to good use
an ongoing lighting of the fuse doth suffuse

few statesmen of Gandhi's ilk now exist
so the torture and torment of war shall e'er persist
diplomacy has lost its edge around the globe
our planet shall remain bound in worrisome lobe

the count of verbs in this piece didn't quite reach a thousand
yet deaths in conflicts outdo that number by the thousands
#war  #diplomacy  #verbs  #peace
what makes a poet sing
is an innovative accord
on the words flowing
from a quill's written chord

what makes a poet sing
the imagery of the land
where blue hued mountains
majestically stand

what makes a poet sing
deep emotions in the heart's core
of love enduring like
the lasting waves upon a shore

what makes a poet sing
sunshine of bright array
kissing with a warmness
so smiles can on a face play

what makes a poet sing
the harmony on the paper
sung through thoughts
in a scripted draper
the object that I speak of
brings proceedings to attention
and it also keeps illegal
doers in a lengthy detention

it is held firmly by
the magistrate's hand
where he'll hit the wooden
block's stand

its name rhymes with
the word travel
so too the road's
gravel

the hammer shall soon
be struck
and if the bid isn't high
you'll be out of luck

a dramatic end came
at the corruption trial
as Judge Michael's employed
his in a grandiose style
it's an *****
that we can do without
but most of us
have it still hanging about

were you to look
a bit left of the liver
you'd see this *****'s
plum red sliver

if it gets torn
much blood will spill
from its sack's
gushing rill

by golly Francis
verbalizes a lot
she's always
ranting on the spot

glean and keen
rhyme with it
that is a hint
to its kind of kit
these plates are
solid in their force
and we all have
heard of their force

they will sometimes
impact on each other
with a crashing sort
of bother

below the surface of the
earth the plates do sit
until they bring forth
their convulsive fit

everything shakes
when they do collide
and they send all
on a wild ride

since the dawning
of time
the plates have displayed
their powerful prime
#plates  #force  #earth  #shakes  #wild  #powerful
the mainstream media feeds us
a lot of clap trap
it rarely reports the other side
of the news flap

we're drawn in by what is supposed
to be the story proper
yet there is independent
coverage on offer

mainstream media and governments
are in constant cahoots
to get to the nub of the story
the public should untangle their roots

it has been shown time and again
that we're been lead up the wrong story vein

so much of the truth is diluted
by the big media men
as they are so accommodating
of those policy making men

the facts are not always presented
in an accurate or exact way
regularly the state of the situation
is buried tidily away

the big media organizations
are our eyes and ears
to the world's happenings
but we the world community
would certainly like less of our news
undergoing all the sanitizing

linkages of media to government
do indeed exist
this ever so cozy arrangement
reports but only this combinations twist

independent news is there to give us balance
to the stories that are out there
the angels that it depicts give equilibrium
to the mainstreams daily fair
the competitors
shall be mounted on something high
and that something
stands on four speeding legs of ply

this particular sport
is presently staging a revival
as there are enthusiasts
who want to see its survival

the outfits the rivals
wear are really heavy of weight
they must feel like
they're carrying a large freight

let us now hark back
to those days of yore
when the knights would
make a galore score

if you guess the
name of the sport
Sir Lancelot will be
your tournament escort
this sport is played
at a leisurely pace
no-one playing it ever
seems to be in a race

some are good
at the short game
whilst others are better
at the long

during the tournament
strokes will be calculated
to make sure the score
isn't deflated or overrated

what stick shall
you employ
on the course's
tricky ploy

oh the ball has just landed
in the thick vegetation
it scattered the birdies
which were sitting on its plantation
the tree is known
to one and
all
and the word clan is etched
on the trunk's
wall

branches of the tree
tell about
kin
and of who was born
to aunt
Min

the lineage of the
tree may interest
you
and so might the
date of eighteen sixty
two

if you've studied
the tree
carefully
it will indicate to you
a little
history

now that the tree
has been
uncovered
what have you thus
far
discovered
their eyes were in
a dark disposition
a man of medicine
saw the plight
of these eyes
unto them he'd bring
a wondrous lit view
with his surgery technique
which was true blue

Fred Hollows
developed
and refined
an optical procedure
so his patients
blurred vision
could be cataract free

when the sun illuminates upon the sapphire skies
aborigines in the Northern Territory
and in Eritrea
are so grateful to receive Fred's
miraculous surgery
