By: Cedric McClester Smoke a blunt? Somebody's gonna! Though it ain’t The same marijuana That they smoked Back in the day So what’s inside it anyway? Truthfully, it’s hard to say It might be laced with Fentanyl Until you smoked it How could you tell? Ya see, it’s properties Don’t ring a bell So their affects Could be hell And now they rush To legalize For the dollars I’d surmise Whether, or not That move is wise See those who object Are ostracized Yet all the evidence Isn’t in And that alone Speaks to the sin The wise go slow But fools rush in So John Q Public Takes it on the chin Cedric McClester, Copyright (c) 2019.  All rights reserved.

MAY I BE BLUNT?
No inner turmoil, Will hold me back I’m facing the world And I’m poised to attack I’m ready to fight Before I die Who are you to say That’s he’s only getting high? Who are you to say That it won’t cure the pain Of cancer, glaucoma, And everyday strains? Who are you to judge Without knowing all the facts? Why should we destroy This very useful plant? Hemp fiber is quite strong And it’s easily taxed. Legalization- an ongoing war That mainly takes place Behind various closed doors. But I’m a supporter, Like thousands of others. You probably know one- An aunt or a brother. See, they’ve proved THC Can shrink tumor size In less than three weeks, It’s the truth, not a lie. All of these studies Have successfully shown The only harm known Comes when it’s smoked. But there’s so many methods, Like brownies or pills. With zero deaths a year, Mary Jane doesn’t **** But cigarettes do, And alcohol too Over 500,000 deaths yearly What should we do? Our forefathers grew it. So why is it wrong? Propaganda has brainwashed Americans for too long. Prohibition is immoral And I will not be silenced The only outcome Is increasing violence As the drug cartels rage Below us in Mexico We turn the page To a brand new War on Drugs Which, let me remind you, Can never be won. So many free citizens With so many free minds But the government controls And accuses of crimes As billions of tax dollars Wash away, down the drain Non-violent offenders Are locked up and contained Over-crowding prisons It’s obviously insane.

My tummy box is broken Said the man to the spoon ******** rhymings To satisfy good tidings Fake smiles to satisfy Good people Satisfied with what I make Dissatisfied with what I take Broken satisfaction A one-man factioned We all suffer from Insecurities So take what’s best of me. I seem to be the worst at what I do. Can I visit weekly? Is that cool by You? I can make a fool of myself at least once a week. Can you turn so I can smack Your other cheek? 4th wall broken, here’s a token of my gratitude. I play the fool for a feeling that’s earthly Wait with baited breath, I’m almost done. FBI shopping, lets find a bomb to blow. Legalize this to make me okay with it. Let’s party it up to make me feel better. A good grind to get my mind off things. Opposing the opposable Folding to the foldable All I am seems worthless All I am seems ridiculous.

Feeding Soliloquy
Legalize it Sitting down jamming to Van Halen, maybe flying, but more like sailing. Smoked, maybe just a little bud, whatever it was, certainly not a dud. This visuals are out of sight, best thing that happened, all **** night. Lose yourself in a guitar solo, nobody leads, we all just follow. In own house, forget where you are, this journey has gone a bit to far. Air guitar is losing its touch, maybe smoked a bit to much. Also had a bit to drink, hard now to even think. Just legalize it already, no more cutting corners like Freddy. Tax the the living hell of of it, soon after, no more deficit. Side effects include, fun and joy, brain cells get a temporary destroy. Cotton mouth and the munchies, no more wars in foreign countries. Laziness and blood shot eye, but at no time will you die. Some drowsiness and falling asleep, but to ****** to remember how many sheep. May lead to other drugs, or even getting naked hugs. When legalized, I'd be first in line, only then will life fully shine.

"A Poem that Stones"
Come and try my medicine, If you don't think it works. It tastes good, smells good, And I get so hungry, I could eat my shirt. It helps me stay awake. It helps me sleep at night. It slows the sweat in summer heat. And warms me from the Winter's bite. It eases the pain of sickness and cancers. It eases the pain in the knees of the dancers. It eases the throbbing in the eyes of glaucoma. It keeps me from ripping and burning my homework. It slows the decay from Auto-Immune. It even makes a lovely smell to fill my room.

Legalize
Legalize the dark night in which he grow up in, the illuminated streets in which we modeled our deep edges and rough cuts. Decriminalize the chilling touch of winter that makes our lips dry and blood red, the icy spheres that paints dabs of colours on our bodies. Sanction the art of the sciences where the only one paying is the consumer, the cruelty of the art where the media slices the eyes of the observers. Legalize, decriminalize and sanction all that has made us many and once at once.

I wish I could fall in love with the boy I see in the mornings The one who sits in the back of the class With his fingers resting on his desk I know his face so much better than the faces I’ve lost over It is soft and unweathered Yet to be traded in sinister motives and the mortal conscious The way he breathes is not overly considered And it’s easier to convince someone who has the time to listen … He is taller than me With a strong jaw to wave when we talk A mighty gesture to the glory of the weather Or politics, some godly small-talk My face fits between it and his collarbone The heartbeat is easier to reach A simplicity that becomes luxury in silence … His toes slope in a way I could want for a son They tap when he sings his ballads In a voice good enough He can sit through a symphony without falling asleep And he nods to acknowledge the history I tell him With a smile He smiles at me In a way that could mean something if I camp under it long enough … Perchance we stamp our wedding vows On a monument to convenience To legalize curling up in each other’s breathing place And tolerate the stench of desperation

DJ as List-Poet
Step 1: Legalize all drugs and treat their possession as a public health issue, as is practiced in Portugal Step 2: Get all nonviolent drug offenders out of prison and (A) into treatment when dealing with harder drugs like meth/coke/heroin (B) get the *** growers some jobs doing what they're good at, and watch as the extra tax revenues progressively revitalize both local and national economies. (1) Step 3: Fill the new vacancies in the nation's prison system with the entire US government and the top 1% of income earners as  punishment for their hubristic crimes against nature and humanity. Step 4: Forgive all debts and redistribute all of the assets of the aforementioned parties among the entire population, but especially the impoverished classes, to create socioeconomic balance. Step 5: Decentralize the economy and rebuild it along the lines of federated, autonomous municipalities, based on common ownership of economic resources, free education and healthcare, and participatory democracy. Once this is done, we can let the former government and 1% out of prison. (2) Brought To You By: Homunculus For President (but not for very long, because being an authority figure would sort of contradict the entire essence of the society I just described) 2016

5 Steps to a Better America
A red lipstick stain on a smiling stranger's cheek A woman bragging frantically about her perfect peach tree on some gardener's TV The look of pure relief shared between a mother and her son after she's looked all over the grocery store to find his quick little traveling legs The scent of **** catching in my nose as I roll down the window in a random parking lot & the distant laughter that follows Twelve year olds holding hands in the mall The fresh gloss on their lips from that messy, pre-teen kiss Watching my best friends write lyrics Pitching in with small thoughts and more precise words And then singing along at the top of my lungs When the pit opens up at a small venue, one week later An old man sitting silently Reading "Dancing at the Harvest Moon" with a gentle smile at my local library He doesn't notice me Two straight lovers screaming "legalize gay" at the marriage equality march last May Painting tiny little finger nails when I've been asked to babysit four small angels Shady trees on painfully sunny days And the look on your face when you talk about the things you know so well I get lost I lose my breath And I am in love with everything At least during these short glimpses of a beautiful world

Glimpses
The majority are for the law But laws are for the fools The mighty breaks it with guffaw Fools blindly abide by the rules. Laws are made for the mass To force them to follow some rules By a few known as the ruling class That frames them as disciplinary tools. Laid down to prevent anarchy Laws turn weapons for the powerful Legalize the might and hierarchy Of the forces that control and rule. Laws apply differently for colors of skin Some are treated more equal than others Depend on appearances ***** or clean They don’t treat all mankind as brothers. The strangest thing about the legal rules Is most often for the poor they turn deaf But then you know rules are for fools The rulers can get away with mischief.

Rulers and their Rules
I saw the rising fog.. and it settled over my brain.. but an occasional brain freeze is cool... it numbs away the pain.. cocaine's hard to come by.. and drugs are illegal they say.. I wonder why they didn't put a tag on love.. And legalize heartbreak away... Cigarettes are bad, they **** your lungs, they burn away your soul... But we've burned at the stake already love, whats some dust n a bit o' coal..? So let's reschedule the sermon father.. Save me a seat in your pew... For I got a long walk back home today, and a dream i gotta sew...

Half Life by Ryan P. Kinney Welcome to the digital age. Where man’s best friend is Internet **** And a woman’s only friend is her ******** We’ve traded a heartbeat for an electronic pulse. If I had a nickel for every each and every Republican lie Guess how many congress men and women I could buy. I could buy another country and then I could use it to Put all those Republicans in. I would. Wouldn’t you? I could work with medical science people To make a vaccine legal in court That would make all the legal criminals Wake up just three or four feet short And green and purple spots on them To make them all immediately stand out. Then, when we saw one of them in public We could point at them and loudly shout. If we could somehow get back from them All the time they have wasted each year We could give it all to people who now Live without hope, and only have fear. We could legalize prostitution as well And make them all perform as doxies. But, who would want to make it with them? So, they would have to hire some proxies. We could do the same with lobbyists And others who bribe representatives. And we could quadruple the taxes owed On them and all their pensioned relatives. We could make the remove graffiti marks Off of all our defaced walls and things. Then, we could make them work fast food And try to live by cooking onion rings. If we could make that stuff from that movie That made liars tell nothing but the truth We could sniff these evil ******** out While they are still in their stinking youth. We could penalize their parents too For miseducating them so very badly. But there is no such magic potion And I make that statement sadly. Brent Kincaid 4/22/2015

Shots ring out in the neighborhood around a crowd. But no one saw a thing when a victim's went down. And when the law comes to investigate the situation. All the witnesses that were their. Pretends to be blind or acting mute. Stop protecting the criminals. Living in fear hadn't done a single thing for anyone. Except, let the criminals hide and run. You're only as safe as you want to be. We need to quit blaming the law enforcers for our fault. When information is needed. We make the wrong choices. When you find those that loves to play bad. Then, let them find out behind the walls of a prison. Some guilty and some innocence. We find folks living in fear. When there's no need to be. Thing of those that stood up to crooks. Even, if it took their life. To make us feel secure at night. In days of old. Children's was warned not to have the police knocking on the door. But in present times, some see it as an honor. Be warned. A son that violate the law made his own choice. Be warned. A daughter that broke the rules too. Decided to visit a path against our legal rules. Be warned. The best protection for some is the law. Because you might run into a legalize gun holder. That pulled the trigger ending your sibling or child life.

Fear(Be Warned)
We see millions of people coming over our southern border Millions of people are here illegally some through no fault of their own When your parents bring you here as a child you have no say When you are born in this nation from illegal parents it is not your fault Our government works on the principle that we need to return them They want to build a fence to stop them Some want to legalize the ones here and start over Reagan tried this and it proved to be a failure We need to look at why they are coming to our country We need to help their country to become economically sound We need to enrich our southern neighbor instead of China We need to embrace Mexico and choose to help our neighbor Nobody wants to leave their home, go to a foreign country To find a job, to be secure or to face the depravation of family We will never see an end to border crossings as long as the economy Of one nation exceeds the economy of the other. We can help them there within their border or we can help them here

Innocence Slaughtered
Time For A Change Time is now to rise against, why be kept in suspense. Time for a revolution, legalize **** and prostitution. Cut the deficit right in half, don't it make you want to laugh. While we're here, let's have some fun, the law fought us, but this time we won. **** the government and their laws, it's filled with so many flaws. Killers and rapists, all must die, molesters with no ***** will surely cry. But I digress, country in such a mess. No one seems to care, I hate wearing underwear. People just cramp my style, every day is like a trial. Believe in only yourself, no trophies on my shelf. The government, we must overthrow, get ready, get set and lets go. You all would just chicken out, this is something, I have no doubt. Get yourself a pair of ***** let's climb the White House walls. On second thought, it will never happen, I'm just a stupid fool named Allen. It was just the thought that counts, just a suggestion, I wanted to announce.
