I don't know you
I don't know how you feel right now
or how you feel about the current state of the nation
I don't know how you like your coffee
or whether you prefer drip over pressed
I don't know the lyrics to your favorite songs
or if you like progressive rock or indie
I don't know your favorite restaurant
or if your prefer Chinese takeout and fast food
I don't know where your next adventure will be
or if you prefer to stay at home
I don't know if you like mayonnaise
or whether you like mustard on your hot dog sandwich
I don't know what you think about in the shower
or what you think about when you're washing the dishes
I don't know what keeps you up at night
or if you're the kind of person who falls asleep right away
I don't know your deepest most vulnerable secrets
or your hopes and dreams and your crazy ideas
what I do know is your heart
and maybe they tell you you have no feelings
that you can't be moved or touched
but I know that not showing them
doesn't mean you don't have them at all
we have the same heart and that's okay
everything will be okay.
I don't know about this poem but it felt good writing it.

I miss your beautiful blue eyes
Your sweet addictive kiss
The pain and sadness of loving your broken soul
Is one part of you I will never miss
I think it's important to realize you can miss something and not want it back

His eyes are blue even
though they're as black as
a rainy night
I look at him and feel the rot inside my chest,
the imperfections of my habits
I lie bare before him
and he watches with care
and says
you are the moon of my night

I ripped my heart out
then put it on your silver platter
and all you can say is
“ I’ll text you later .”
I guess this is how heartbreak goes for some people.

When the world is crumbling down
When all hope seems to be lost
It's a gentle, harsh reminder
That everything comes at a cost.
Courage isn't hard to find
But it fades in fear and sorrow.
Yet, stay the course, faithful reader
Your light will shine tomorrow.
'Tomorrow never comes', you say
I hope, one day, you find it has
With great strength and resilience
Believe that this too, shall pass.

Why promise the stars and moon
You can't even give your time?
Why promise never to forget
You can't even remember a date?
Why promise to last forever
When it's hard to last even a day?

Don't make your love
Sound like so grand
When you can't offer
Your heart and mind

Why let us needlessly cling on
And in the end
Makes it harder for us to move on?
Why do most people make promises difficult or impossible to keep? *sigh*

SHE
She is simple yet
the complications in her simple words have so much depth that I always get lost in them.

She is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen yet
so down to earth that makes her even more beautiful.

She is carefree and yet
so caring that whenever I'm around her, my wounds and sufferrings heal faster.

She is a human and yet
so supernatural that even from miles away she can change my mood in a flick of a second.

She always bears a smile on her face and yet
so transparent that I can see the grief underneath that smile.

She is far away from sorcery and yet
such a good mind reader that she always reads all my thoughts and give me the reply even before I could say anything.

She loves to sleep a lot and yet
to talk to me, she forgets about her sleep and we spend the whole night talking.

She is so strong and yet
so fragile that if I would touch her she would melt in my arms, giving herself away.

Who is she?

She is the one I've been waiting for years.

She is the woman I love.
She is the one for whom I waited a long time.. A girl like her needed to be loved unconditionally and that's what I'm doing

Lost myself in your eyes, your smile, your soul
Your beauty was contagious, your love was filling
A force I couldn’t explain when I met you
Your touch left me wanting more

Fate played its role in making me yours
Since I've always craved you from a far
You felt lucky, I felt at peace
You became my muse, you became my king

You are my muse, I was absorbed in your love
Transfused your smile into my life
Exerted with great force, you were something from above
I've got to know why you've been kept from me all along

Fell in love with you like the night sky
Favored whatever got me closer to you,
Filled my late nights with your laugh
I couldn't sleep without you

Oh my muse, how much I love you

You are beautiful
No matter your size, skin color, religion or sexuality
Don't ever let anyone doubt that
Life would be boring without diversity

You are beautiful
and the lenght of your dress tonight doesn't justify anyone calling you a **** nor gives them permission to grab your tight
Only you can give them consent
And remember to say no is your right

You are beautiful
wear those strechmarks with pride
They are perfectly normal and natural
Don't look at them as flaws
Your body is a miracle that you don't need to hide

You are beautiful
Don't forget to love yourself
