I only ever worried that you
were too old for me.
Never once thought that I
could be too young for you.

I felt an uncomfortable mix
of excitement and fear
when I caught your eyes
lingering around my thighs.

I never imagined that you
too had an internal debate
somewhere between your
morals and your...

I don't want to be your
temptation, forbidden fruit.
Maybe if I were riper you'd
feel better about picking me.

I let the devil nearly catch me.
For I run.
Let him slide right up
next to me.
I consigned all the while he wrote
checks on me
So sure no fire could ever burn
the Lilly whiteness from my skin.
I made my bed in sin and lay
next to his evil grin
His eyes shone like his lies bold
Once highly favored son.
But what remains....come casting
Chains and chants
His nickname just for fun,
Once they called him Lucifer
you just sY....it Dunbothamenun.
If you need a note to get it....forget it.

eve
how quick i was,
to bite into the forbidden fruit

o temptress, i will always believe you weren't a ruse

because now he's coming out of the shadows,
and like some false prophet your preachings no longer lead me to shore

so now i am looking for a needle in a rather larger pile of needles, aching for more

the forbidden knowledge i've taken, it's not like you've been mistaken

but now i can't find the key to the door

Sometimes you want what you can't have & resisting the urge is a lost battle from the start...
The tempted are quickly torn apart,
time & time again the white flag is waved.
Another has given up & caved.
Temptation has won once more
adding to their undefeated score...
rules broken & adrenaline is to blame
...it's just the beginning of the curiosity game....

I can’t go back to that spot.
I tried once, but my legs grew heavy
like concrete blocks sinking into the ground
and pulling me down into the hot
core of the Earth.
I can’t go back to where we laid together,
floating beneath the wires,
our bodies touching, my right side to your left,
your fingers laced between mine,
braided together in everlasting clasp.
I can’t go back, not ever, because then
I’d remember the exact color of your eyes,
melted bronze,
two chocolate drops dissolving in my palms
and staining a blouse so carefully unbuttoned
by hands that took their time.
I can’t go back without you,
it wouldn't be the same;
I’d get lost in the memory of your mouth
closed so tightly upon mine,
sealing in the sunlight and wild blueberry kiss,
our tongues waltzing,
dancing and dipping inside caverns deep,
my bottom lip grasped between your teeth.
Even when I think I could go back,
I know the patch of wildflowers
where you knelt down and stole a single one,
where you placed it gingerly behind my ear,
will no longer be there.
And I swear...
if I went back and everything had changed--
Or worse, if it all was the same--
I'd be too afraid
I’d never find
the way
home.

Always warm like shallow water
sunshine city straight blue skies
Women walking sidewalks melting
lacks emotions in disguise

You know those pictures
you must relax your eyes to see
They have more to teach us
about you than me

California native they say
who says the canvas must be white
maybe there is art in subtraction
more to see in dark than light

Down to earth they say
good people back east
who knows temptation best
those around the most or least

Simple it comes down to
We practice for the game
Make impressions lesson
Don't remember certain names

There's a skinny European ballerina dancing for me in my room
And I don't know what to do
Her eyes a piercing blue
There's a pretty European ballerina dancing for me all alone
There's a feeling in my bones
A burning kept in stone
There's a single European ballerina dancing for no one but me
The only thing I see is
Her radiant beauty
There's a lovely European ballerina staring me in the face
My demons held at bay
Transfixed by her grace

Burning brightly as I
stare at the dancer divine
My eyes are full of fire,
aglow in the darkness of night
In the light
She catches my gaze in her sights
My pretty European ballerina
Waits for me to cross the line
The ****** tension poem.

Temptation tangles tearing tendrils teasing
Thoughts think through thickening thunder
Lips lying like losers lifted lungs
Loud like lighted lamps

Follow fairly for fainting faces
Friends fight for feeling free
Eat education entirely
Energy eases enemies
Daring dear defend

Take the loving Lord
Fight eternally to the end.

"Temptation... Please never end"
The world thus explained, defined
- At least if I cannot control
I can understand!
Ah blessed interest!
Curiosity on a high,
Connections sparking
You hit my spot
