I used to see the world in black and white,
A heart so tender, foolish fright,
My thoughts locked me in, I was afraid to dance,
Until you came, wild dreams and all.

You strut through sidewalks full of pretense and ambition,
Ink stained hands, wondrous eyes, smoke in the night,
I'll never forget your glimmering mind, devilish flare,
A prince who lost himself in city lights.

The pages of who you are were torn and faded,
I saw you pale in the dark, tears flowing from self-hatred,
Then the next second, arrogant and charming, you ran along,
Far from the way I tried to mend you.

I came too close to your flames,
You crept into my side at midnight then disappeared before dawn,
You drowned me with you then fought to bring us back to the surface
And tore me into pieces just as you did to yourself.

But through you, I've learned to see,
I'm illuminated with your visions, I sing your delirious songs,
Your colors poured into the scars on my skin,
But I've also learned how it feels to be alone at night.

I hate to admit I need you, I don't want you to leave anymore.
I circle back, dying to understand who you are,
You're alive in my eyes, the most beautiful but deadly of stars,
Yet the longer I gaze at you, I am blinded by the light.
"Don't let the sky turn without me
Don't let the moon shine without me
Don't let the earth spin without me
Don't go without me." - Rumi

(I kind of thought about how it would be to be in love with those reckless, broken, beautiful people (aka Lucien Carr lol) i tried i really did hahaha !

I am slowly liking him.
A friend whom I just met.
I was caught off guard.

His aura is so different.
He's funny and cute.
He hates how loud is my voice
Then he covers my mouth.

He's athletic.
I was impressed with his background.
He looks so strong.
But weak inside.

I wanna take care of him.
I wanna fall in love with him.
But I can't.
I must refrain.

I might fall for him
And that would be so painful.
Too much risk.
Too much pain, I can't handle.

You were the sun, I was a flower
I looked up to you to learn, you set me free to bud
You kept me warm through windy spring nights
You taught me to grow through golden leaves falling
After storms, you crept from behind the clouds to help me dry
When snow fell, I was buried beneath the ice and you brought me back again
But once the summer came, you blazed so bright I couldn’t see

The sweltering sun, my sweet sun
I took your light, your love, and I blossomed
Then I grew, only to realize you would always be far up there
I took too much and waited, wilted and grey in the end.

are you there,
were you killed?

are you hiding,
were you hurt?

I'd feel better

knowing

if you would return

You are a gift

I don't deserve

to have you

Without you,

I'll be

What I always was

Is just

that

which

A question I have to ask
Have I always smiled like this?
I have never felt so comfortable
Just happy to exist
Now you tell me there's a reason
A reason for your frown
Well darling I'd pick up everything
And just get the **** out of town
Let's just run away
Start brand new
**** all these Assholees
Baby it's just me and you

But you don't even know me
At least not just yet
Smiling with you
Was the least of my regrets
You claim to see my face
But I couldn't place that bet
I've lost so many friendships
Just trying to be true

Seen so many folks coming in and out of my life
But the second I met you was the second I started to fight
For better things
For happier days
For smiling for myself
For being awake

Can't take this feeling
I am so overwhelmed
Chasing my mind
Trying to keep hold of myself

so afraid of getting wet you stress yourself
to the the point you soak yourself in your own sweat
& it's so simple yet so extreme
not being able to drink in the world so you get lost..
in stupid ******* metaphors about a liquid
that gives and takes life which is the same
as fear, risk and love..
why don't you love me

Do you still listen
when I talk to you?
The joy on your face
has completely gone
Have you lost all hope?

Do you wonder
about my days?
I await for
you to come back

to normal
I'm losing
self control

why not?
maybe?

NO!

Oh, God, please hear our pleas.

We are living in crucial, turmulous times.

Times filled with lust.

Times filled with greed.

Times, filled with vanity.

Times filled with depravity.

Times filled with poverty.

Times filled with corruption.

Times filled with division.

Times filled with hatered.

Times filled with crime.

Times filled with fatherless children.

Times filled with wars.

Times filled with the "Me" generation.

We can make a difference if we begin to pray.

Let us  pray for our elders.

Let us  pray for the weak,

Let us pray for the innocence of our children.

Let us pray for the sick.

Let us pray for the end to inequality.

Let us  pray for peace.

Let us pray for kindness.

Let us pray for comfort.

Let us pray for empathy.

Let us pray for generosity.

Let us pray for love.

Oh, God,  hear the pleas for all the humans of this world.

Comfort, those that suffer, those in pain, those that hunger.

Fill their souls with kindness.

Dry their tears.

May the sun shine brightly and engulf their spirits's with a special glow, that only you, oh, Lord can provide.

Let's make a difference.

Let's  make a plea for the humans of this world.

Remember, we are God' s children, intrinsically connected by threads of love,

So, let us make a plea for the humans of this world!
