take a walk down this lonely road
tell me where your mind goes
don't look back to see if they followed
this is the way you chose

be strong in all that you do
trust me when I say I know it is hard
don't expect a hero's rescue
without being scarred

She knew he would cheat on her
As she placed her heart in his hands
Hoping he would hold it together
Hoping he would make their love greater

The more he kissed his next victim
The less he remembered her
Forgetting his vows
While infedlity became his reality
Comforting his soul which became empty
He risked it all, as she watched him fall in infidelity

I kissed your lying mouth
When I knew that things were going south.
You forced yourself to believe,
But loving me was something you could never achieve.
I thought we could recover,
But you always thought of another.
You finally confessed,
And I got a feeling in my chest.
I was relieved that I no longer had to compete
For someone I thought who made me complete.
You meant a lot to me
But I won't plea.
I know I'll start a story with someone new
And you'll become someone that I once knew.

Don't believe the doctor
if they say no one can die
from a broken heart.

I will tell you why.

One day I fell in love,
I fell hard, so hard
I became blinded
by it's beautiful display,
it caught my attention
and my wandering eye.

But soon it caught me
by surprise, it was broken,
and no batteries were included.

It took all I had,
told me lies,
stole my heart and
damaged my life.

Though I was broken,
life always passes by,
time heals all
but scares are left behind.

I might be softer from ware,
but I am not going to be softer
the next time love catches my eye.

I know better.
For now I suffer from high blood pressure.
Doctor can't figure out why.

I could barely breathe
as love stole my kiss,
broke my heart
and shattered my dreams.

I once got lost
in loves quite stair,
wandered for year's,
wondered how I got there.

Soon I found myself
setting at a table,
watching love eat my heart.
With each bite
I can feel the crunch,
chewing deeply into my life.

Already Been Chewed Life.

Love stole my heart
and ate it for lunch.

I am not heartless,
life just taught me
to use my heart less.

I don’t always allow my heart
to make choices for me.

Life is saddened by love,
because when those
you care about die,
it hurts more than
if they were a stranger.

That’s why I always say,
love is not a happy journey
where the sun always shines.

It can be a barren landscape
wasting away with fattened pigs,
and chickens who lost their feathers.

Love can burn like the hot sun
in the Mojave Desert.

It can drink your blood
until you’re ready to pop.
Leaving you to die
from a broken heart.

words can destroy
words can free
there are words that live
in my mind
that
keep me
in *******.

words can lead me to
a
new way of life,
words that free my heart
to
sing
a
new
song.

words that move me
into
participating in life,
instead of
checking
out.

Every poem that I write
is a testimony of what I fight.

illness,
life,
struggle,
and strife
these are the things I fight.

Fallen down flat,
*** for tat,
Enough of that,
Small as a gnat,
Swept under the Matt,
My back don't pat,
Not but a rat,
Treat me as ****,
Fell through the slat,
Next up to bat,
Enough chit chat,
Lost in combat,
Set in format,
Don't copycat,
A spinning laundromat,
Or broken thermostat,
Scared little pussycat,
Decisions arrived at,
Flexible as an acrobat,
Masked aristocrat,
Hiding in a top hat,
Known through Snapchat,
Don't even work at,
Used like a doormat,
Cat calling at,
Filed caveat,
Blind as a bat,
Lost sewer rat,
Fallen down flat.

Eyes staring, glaring,
Beauty she is wearing,
Weight of the world baring,
Cannot stop her caring,
Everyone comparing,
Swearing, tearing, wearing her,
     Breaking her,
          Fallen down,
               Face down,
                    Flat down,
                         Down,
                              Down,
                                   Down,

                     Shattered...

Small looks despairing,
Silent tears repairing,
Strong and firm declaring.
